Knocked-down case inspection and erection method
Techniques for corrugate and chipboard knocked-down case inspection and assembly are described herein. In one example, the disclosed techniques include a method to inspect and assemble a knocked-down case. In the example, a measurement of at least one aspect of the knocked-down case is obtained. A difference is determined between the obtained measurement and a standard measurement and/or a range of standard measurements. Programming of a case-handling tool is executed that is based at least in part on the determined difference. In an example, the programming is configured to adjust for and/or compensate for differences between the actual knocked-down case and a knocked-down case that is within a specification. A case-handling tool is operated responsive to the executed programming to at least partially erect the knocked-down case into an erected case.
Paver having elevation profile monitoring equipment and methods for operation thereof
A paver, in particular a slipform paver, has a machine frame supported by front and rear undercarriages and a paving device for the paving of material. The paver is provided with an apron monitoring device for generating elevation profile data or elevation profile signals describing the elevation profile of the material deposited in the apron of the paving device in a direction transverse to the working direction. A data or signal processing device receives the elevation profile data or signals. The apron monitoring device provides the data needed to allow the material to be spread more evenly across the working width of the paver during the feeding operation by means of a spreading device for spreading the material to be paved in a direction transverse to the working direction and/or to allow the spreading device to be controlled for improved spreading of the material after the paver has been fed.
Measuring board and foot shape data creating system
A measuring board having a simple structure is to be provided. A measuring board includes a main body having a foldable structure, and the main body includes a placement part on which a foot is placed and that includes a measurement marker, a wall part provided adjacent to the placement part and configured to position a heel during measurement, and supporting structures and that support the wall part. With such a configuration, a measuring board having a simple structure can be provided.
SECOND-HARMONIC GENERATION FOR CRITICAL DIMENSIONAL METROLOGY
Systems and methods are disclosed for using second-harmonic generation of light to monitor the manufacturing process for changes that can affect the performance or yield of produced devices and/or determining critical dimensions of the produced device.
TECHNIQUES FOR MONITORING WINDLASS ROTATION
Methods and apparatus for monitoring windlass rotation are provided to determine the real time rate and length of rode release when anchoring a boat. The rotation can be monitored in real time using directional sound and/or electromagnetic radiation receivers and/or transmitter in a module attached to the windlass. Another windlass module can monitor windlass rotation using micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) components such as accelerometers, magnetometers, gyroscopes, and/or inertial measurement units (IMU) to sense motion and/or position.
PARTIAL COHERENCE MITIGATION IN VIDEO MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS VIA ILLUMINATION APODIZATION
A video measurement system for measuring a test object comprising an imaging system comprising an imager having an imaging pupil, the imager arranged for viewing at least a portion of a silhouette of the test object by receiving light transmitted by the test object over a first angular extent; and an illumination system comprising (i) an illumination source; (ii) output having a second angular extent in object space that is larger than the first angular extent received by the imaging pupil; and (iii) a substrate arranged to diffuse light from the illumination source, the substrate having an axial centerline and a light obscuration element, wherein the light obscuration element is at least approximately coaxial to the axial centerline of the substrate, and wherein the pupils of the illumination and imaging systems are in at least approximately conjugate image planes.
VOLUME MEASURING APPARATUS WITH MULTIPLE BUTTONS
A volume measuring apparatus is disclosed and includes a body having a working part and a holding part extended downward from the bottom of the working part, a processor arranged in the body, a first camera, a second camera, and a barcode capturing unit arranged on a front end of the working part, a first button arranged on one side of the holding part, and a second button arranged on a top of the working part. The first button and the second button are different types of buttons. By respectively operating the first button and the second button, the processor is controlled to perform a measuring action of the volume of a target box or to perform a decoding action of a target barcode based on the image captured by at least one of the first camera, the second camera, and the barcode capturing unit.
NON-INVASIVE ALIGNMENT METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMAGER-ILLUMINATOR OPTICAL MEASUREMENT MACHINES
A backlight optical alignment system comprises an illumination system having an illumination pupil and an illuminator configured to generate an output, wherein the illumination system includes a rotationally symmetric illumination distribution having an illumination axis, an imaging system having an imaging sensor comprising at least one detector element, an imaging pupil, and an acceptance cone in object space of the imaging system having an optical axis, wherein at least a portion of the imaging pupil is filled by the illumination system output when a portion of the illumination distribution overlaps with the acceptance cone, and a first substrate disposed in object space between the illumination system and the imaging system, wherein the solid substrate is adjustable to generate a change in signal intensity from the imaging sensor when the illumination axis of the illumination distribution is misaligned with the optical axis of the acceptance cone.
MEASURING DEVICE, INSPECTION DEVICE, AND SURFACE MOUNTER
A measuring device includes a projector, a camera and a calculation device. The projector projects, on a target object, first stripe pattern light having a first period, second stripe pattern light having a second period, and third stripe pattern light having a third period. A relation of the periods is the first period<the second period<the third period. The camera captures an image of the first stripe pattern light, an image of the second stripe pattern light, and an image of the third stripe pattern light. The calculation device performs a phase analysis of luminance with a phase shifting method for the image of the first stripe pattern light, the image of the second stripe pattern light, and the image of the third stripe pattern light, and calculates a height of the target object based on obtained phase analysis results.
