PH SENSOR DEVICE INTENDED TO BE INSERTED INTO THE GROUND, METHOD FOR MEASURING PH, IN PARTICULAR FOR CATHODIC PROTECTION
A pH sensor device, intended to be inserted into the ground in order to be in contact with a region containing a fluid from the ground, for which fluid the pH is desired to be known, comprising: a pH sensor comprising a surface covered in a polymer material configured to be in contact with the region containing a fluid when the device is inserted into the ground, a metal element having a surface configured to be in contact with the region containing the fluid when the device is inserted into the ground, electrical connection means connected at least to the metal element and configured to receive a cathodic-protection electrical potential for the metal element.
The invention also relates to a method for measuring pH that can be used for cathodic protection.
PRUSSIAN BLUE ZnO CARBON NANOTUBE COMPOSITE FOR MEASURING HYDROGEN PEROXIDE IN CANCER CELLS
A Prussian blue/zinc oxide-carbon nanotube composite is provided, the nanotube composite being selective and sensitive for detection of hydrogen peroxide, which is important for screening for early cancer detection, monitoring cardiovascular disease, detecting onset of food spoilage, and enzymatic reactions that produce hydrogen peroxide as a byproduct. Also provided are methods using said zinc oxide-carbon nanotube composite in which standard addition is used in combination with chronoamperometry detection to quantify the level of hydrogen peroxide in a biological sample.

The inner chamber is configured for receiving one or more samples undergoing a chemical and/or electrochemical reaction therein. The port is sealable to hermetically seal the inner chamber.

The present disclosure relates to a cell potential detection device, a method of manufacturing the cell potential detection device, and an information processing system that enable prevention of culture solution for a cell from leaking. The cell potential detection device includes: a cell potential detection chip including an electrode unit that detects potential of a cell; a substrate on which the cell potential detection chip is implemented; a first member sealing a connection electrically connecting the cell potential detection chip and the substrate; and a second member layered on the first member, the second member forming a liquid-storage portion that stores culture solution for the cell, together with the first member. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a semiconductor module in which packaged is a chip that detects the potential at an action-potential source point due to a chemical change of a cell.
Chlorine species sensing using pseudo-graphite
Methods, electrodes, and sensors for chlorine species sensing using pseudo-graphite are disclosed. In one illustrative embodiment, a method may include coating a pseudo-graphite material onto a surface of an electrode substrate to produce a pseudo-graphite surface. The method may also include exposing the pseudo-graphite surface to a sample to detect chlorine species in the sample.

A pH measurement system includes a measurement apparatus that is capable of connection to a mobile device and a server and that includes a measuring instrument and a monitoring device. The measuring instrument includes a tube, and a sensor rod that is disposed is the tube and that is for sensing a pH value of a measurement target. The monitoring device includes a microcontroller communicatively connected to the sensor rod, an operation module for operation by a user, a communication module for communication with the mobile device and the server, and a display module for displaying information. The microcontroller provides the pH value to the mobile device or the server through the communication module.
Amadoriase having enhanced dehydrogenase activity
Provided are an amadoriase that is less likely to be influenced by oxygen concentration and a method and a reagent kit for measurement of HbA1c using such amadoriase. Provided are an amadoriase that is obtained via substitution of one or more amino acid residues at a position or positions corresponding to the position(s) selected from the group consisting of positions 280, 267, 269, 54, and 241 of the amadoriase derived from the genus Coniochaeta, a method for measurement of HbA1c, a reagent kit for measurement, and a sensor using such amadoriase. The modified amadoriase according to the invention has a lowered oxidase activity and an enhanced dehydrogenase activity, and this enables the use of an electron mediator, and this reduces the influence of oxygen concentration. Thus, HbA1c can be measured with high sensitivity.
