HEADREST LIFTING MECHANISM
A headrest lifting mechanism is revealed. The headrest lifting mechanism is disposed on a seat back and including a lifting base, a bottom-side vertical support and an elastic positioning rod. A headrest is connected to an upper end of the bottom-side vertical support. A positioning end of the elastic positioning rod fixed on the bottom-side vertical support is moved downward into one of the slots of the lifting base owing to material elasticity when the bottom-side vertical support is assembled with the lifting base. Thus the bottom-side vertical support and the positioning end are slid and positioned together in the slots of the lifting base. The number of the parts is reduced and the assembly is simplified. This enables cost reduction and mass production.
Therapeutic core building and massage chair
A chair strengthens core muscle groups and promotes circulation along the gluteal and piriformis muscle groups. Locking castors enable the chair to be moved in busy environments, yet fix the position of the chair when needed. A user of the chair may activate a number of massaging elements by rocking side to side, and may perform back stretches while in the seated position. Additional active massaging elements may alert the user and further promote proper use. Adjustable elements allow users to tailor the chair to their specific needs. Embedded energy harvesters supply power to record and transmit data to users to enhance their awareness of their seating position. Thus a versatile seat is provided that is better suited to active environments while broadening the range of elements of core strengthening, massaging, circulation, and seated exercise.
THORACIC REGION COMFORT SEATING SYSTEM
A thoracic support for a seatback of a seat is provided. The thoracic support has a center portion extending in an upright direction and adapted to be positioned adjacent the seatback to align adjacent a thoracic region a user's spine and having a first hardness. A pair of side portions are each disposed on opposing lateral sides of the center portion. The side portions have a second hardness less than the first hardness of the center portion. The pair of side portions and the center portion to define a smooth forward support surface.
Systems and Methods for Providing Ergonomic Chairs
A chair for providing support to a user's spine to improve posture and for providing ways for the user to perform exercises. The chair may include a flexible connection that enables a back support to move side to side through a sidebending range of motion of the user. The back support, which may include a flexible chair spine, may be configured to adapt to the curvature of the user's spine when the user is seated in the chair. A seat of the chair may include channels and vents to improve air circulation within the seat.
Furniture fitting, arrangement comprising two furniture fittings, and use of a furniture fitting
The present disclosure relates to a furniture fitting comprising a support bracket, a first push element, a second push element, which is pivotable with respect to the first push element, and a third push element, which is longitudinally displaceable with respect to the second push element and pivotable with respect to the first push element, wherein a longitudinal displacement of the first push element effects a pivoting movement of the second push element with respect to the first push element and an extending movement of the third push element resulting therefrom. The present disclosure further relates to an arrangement comprising two furniture fittings and to beneficial uses of furniture fittings.
Armrest assembly and stool for dental practitioner
An adjustable armrest assembly for a stool or chair comprises an armrest base, an armrest support member and an adjustment assembly. The armrest base is connectible to the stool or chair and has a first opening. The armrest support member has a first end with a second opening. The first end is positionable with the second opening aligned with the first opening. The armrest support member has a second end opposite the first end and extending distally to support an armrest. An adjustment assembly is positionable to extend through the second opening and the first opening to define a pivot axis and an adjustable pivot connection between the support member and the base. The assembly is movable within at least one of the first opening and the second opening to laterally reposition the pivot axis. A variable friction member applies a selected degree of resistance to the adjustable pivot connection.
CHAIR ADJUSTMENT MEANS
An apparatus allowing a user to adjust a chair, the apparatus including: two or more chair parameter adjustment mechanisms, each chair parameter adjustment mechanism configured to allow adjustment of a separate chair parameter, two or more cams, each cam configured to actuate one of the two or more chair parameter adjustment mechanisms, and a mechanical coupling between the two or more cams. The apparatus is configured such that each of the two or more chair parameter adjustment mechanisms is independently actuatable by the two or more cams.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AIRCRAFT PASSENGER SEATING
A system and method for aircraft passenger seating allows traditional passenger seats, which have fixed configurations, to meet new specifications. A bottom frame and backrest frame from a traditional passenger seat is used to form a new passenger seat. Features, such as improved cushioning, telescopic or fixed headrests, rotatable or fixed footrests and improve armrest assemblies may be added as part of the new passenger seat.
CUSHION WITH SUPPORTING FRAME FOR UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE
A cushion (1) whose configuration can be varied is constituted by a cushion element (10) inside which there is a fixed frame (20), which covers a lower section (13) of said cushion element (10), and two movable frames (25A), (25B), symmetrical, hinged above said fixed frame (20) and adapted to be comprised within an upper section (14) of the cushion element (10) itself. The movable frames (25 A), (25B) can swing up to 180 independently of one another, for aligning a respective portion (14A), (14B) of said upper section (14) from an external horizontal position (HE) to an internal horizontal position (HI), passing through a vertical neutral position (N) in which the same portion (14A), (14B) is substantially aligned with said lower section (13). In a sofa (D) or an armchair (P) in which the backrest (100) and the armrests (110) are defined by respective cushions (1), many possible configurations of the same are possible, in order to offer maximum seating comfort.
