Glass container inspection system

A glass container inspection system including a diffuse illuminator configured to provide diffused light arranged to illuminate a portion of a glass container symmetrically about a central axis of the container. The inspection system further includes an image capture system that generates at least one image that includes a plurality of views of the glass container illuminated by the diffused light. The at least one image may include a view of the portion of the container reflected by a mirror. The glass container inspection system yet further includes a computing system in communication with the image capture system. The computing system can be configured to output an indication as to whether the container is defective based upon the data from the image capture system. The computing system can be further configured to output the indication responsive to detecting a check in the sidewall of the glass container.

Provided is a virtual image display apparatus including a laser light source, a scanner configured to scan light from the laser light source and render an intermediate image, a diffusion element arranged at a position of the intermediate image formed by the scanner, and an exit pupil forming unit configured to cause light that has passed through the diffusion element to be incident on a position of an exit pupil. The diffusion element separates the light from the scanner into first emission light used as a reference, and second emission light having a separation angle greater than a capturing angle corresponding to an inclination of light toward a predetermined pupil radius relative to the first emission light at an emission position of the light from the diffusion element, and then emits the first emission light and the second emission light.

The first lens sector may have a first radii, and the second lens sector may have a second radii, wherein the first radii and the second radii are substantially parallel to each other. The first aperture device may be comprised of a first aperture comprised of a color filter and/or a pattern. The plurality of light sources may be comprised of a first light source and a second light source and each may be comprised of a white solid state light source, which may be a light emitting diode. The white solid state light source may be a laser diode.

A light pipe for a vehicle lamp assembly includes a first pipe portion and a second pipe portion. The first pipe portion has a first section that extends between a first end and a second end. A portion of the first section at least partially defines an intersection area. The first pipe portion defines a first optical path extending in a lengthwise direction of the first pipe portion. The second pipe portion has a second section that extends through the intersection area. The second pipe portion defines a second optical path. The second optical path intersects with and extends through the first optical path of the first pipe portion such that the first section and the second section define an angle greater than zero degrees and less than 180 degrees therebetween. The first pipe portion and the second pipe portion a unitarily formed as a single monolithic element.

The projection reflective layer (12) selectively reflects the projected light. The transmission light-absorbing layer (13) comprises light-absorbing material particles, and the distribution of the light-absorbing material particles in the transmission light-absorbing layer (13) is set according to the distribution of the Fresnel loss of the projected light on the surface of the screen, such that the light transmittance of the transmission light-absorbing layer (13) is higher in the region where the Fresnel loss is larger. Further disclosed is a projection system comprising the screen. The screen and the projection system have high contrast and high brightness uniformity.

There is provided a display apparatus including a holding member disposed between a peripheral part of an optical sheet and a peripheral part of a diffusion plate. The holding member has a first end portion contacting the peripheral part of a rear surface of the optical sheet and a second end portion contacting the peripheral part of the first surface of the diffusion plate. The holding member has a first holding projection for holding the diffusion plate. The first holding projection protrudes from the second end portion along the first surface of the diffusion plate.
