Light source apparatus, illumination device, exposure apparatus, and device manufacturing method
A light source apparatus including a light source configured to emit a light flux from an emission region having a predetermined size and a rotationally symmetrical emission intensity distribution; and a condenser configured to condense the light flux to allow the light flux to exit to the outside. The condenser is rotationally symmetrical about an optical axis and is disposed to surround the emission region, and has four or more reflection mirrors each having a reflecting surface for reflecting the light flux emitted from the emission region. The reflection mirrors include elliptical surface reflection mirrors where the reflecting surface is elliptical and spherical surface reflection mirrors where the reflecting surface is spherical, and are alternately arranged in the direction of the optical axis, and a light flux reflected by one spherical surface reflection mirror is further reflected by one elliptical surface reflection mirror oppositely disposed across the emission region.
Domestic heliostat and methods of making same
A heliostat contained within a mechanical enclosure is described that optimizes the heliostat for domestic applications by emphasizing features of durability, protection from outside weather, low cost of manufacture, self-powering, light-weight, and aesthetics.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING FOULING OF SURFACES
A method of anti-fouling of a surface while said surface is at least partially submersed in an liquid environment, comprising: providing an anti-fouling light; distributing at least part of the light through an optical mediumcomprising a silicone material and/or UV grade fused silica; emitting the anti-fouling light from the optical medium and from the surface.
LIGHT IRRADIATING DEVICE
The light irradiating device includes a substrate; a plurality of light emitting diode elements disposed on a surface of the substrate; a cooling unit which is disposed on a rear surface of the substrate; an inner wall which is disposed to enclose a light passage area through which light of the plurality of light emitting diode elements passes; a housing which accommodates the substrate, the plurality of light emitting diode elements, the cooling unit, and the inner wall and generates a space between the inner wall and the housing; an air inlet which introduces air in the light passage area onto the rear surface of the substrate; a flow channel which passes through the rear surface of the substrate and connects the air inlet and the space; and a circulation port which is provided to discharge the air in the space to the light passage area.
DIFFUSING REFLECTOR FOR LINEAR ARRAYS OF FINITE POINT LIGHT SOURCES
The present invention is a reflector with a cylindrical shape which diffuses the finite point light sources in a linear array to present a substantially smooth bar of light to the viewer of the reflector.
Light homogenization device
A ray of light 2 enters vertically to an incident surface 5a of a rod integrator 5, while another ray of light 4 enters obliquely to the incident surface 5a of the rod integrator 5. As a result, the outermost spread angle of the ray of light 4 after entering the rod integrator 5 coincides the outermost spread angle of the ray of light 2 after entering the rod integrator 5.
PROJECTION SYSTEM FOR GENERATING SPATIALLY MODULATED LASER RADIATION AND OPTICAL ARRANGEMENT FOR TRANSFORMING LASER RADIATION
Described is an arrangement for the transformation of laser radiation. A projection system for generating spatially modulated laser radiation includes an optical arrangement for transforming laser radiation, a field lens, a spatial light modulator and a projection arrangement. By means of the optical arrangement, incidental laser radiation in a first direction (E) is reflected on an aspherically curved, reflective surface in a second direction (R), where in a plane perpendicular to the first direction (E) the laser radiation has an inhomogeneous beam profile (G1, G2) with a first beam axis (A) and a second beams axis (B) perpendicular to the latter, and the aspherical curvature is designed, during the reflection on the reflective surface, to transform the inhomogeneous beam profile of the laser radiation for the first beam axis (A) and/or the second beam axis (B) respectively into a homogenous top-hat beam profile (H).
Sample Analysis Methods
The invention generally relates to methods for analyzing a heterogeneous sample. In certain aspects, the invention provides methods that involve illuminating a heterogeneous sample including a target analyte with polychromatic light, receiving luminous data of the heterogeneous sample and the target analyte is received to a detector without splitting the polychromatic light into individual wavelengths and generating spectral data therefrom. The analysis can be conducted without reacting the target analyte with chemical reagents.
