Far-infrared emitter
A far-infrared (FIR) emitter includes at least one far-infrared source for generating a far-infrared beam, a filter unit for filtering a wavelength range of the far-infrared beam, and a beam-expanding unit for expanding the far-infrared beam. The FIR emitter can generate a FIR light of a specific wavelength range to cover an expanded projection area.
CMOS COLOR IMAGE SENSORS WITH METAMATERIAL COLOR SPLITTING
Methods to build multi-functional scattering structures while respecting tight requirements imposed by manufacturing processes are described. The described methods and devices are based on etching away wire networks embedded in 3D structures to form voids in order to perform a target function. Optimization algorithms for designing binarized devices that meet manufacturing requirements are also disclosed.

Beam modulation apparatus and projection system
Provided include a beam modulation apparatus for modulating an input light field and a projection system containing the apparatus. The input light field has a first light field and a second light field, having a difference of 90 in their polarization states. The apparatus includes a PBS prism, a first LCOS panel and a second LCOS panel. The first and the second LCOS panel are respectively over a side surface of the PBS prism opposing to an optical incident surface and an optical exit surface. Each LCOS panel comprises a plurality of pixels over a reflective surface thereof, with each pixel controllably switched on or off such that a polarity state of a light beam reflected by a portion of the reflective surface corresponding thereto is changed or remains unchanged. This beam modulation apparatus can be applied in a projection system, such as a laser TV projection system.

The Fourier-beam shaper includes: a waveguide; an input coupler configured to direct a plurality of light beams toward the waveguide in a time-sequential manner; and a spatial converter configured to output the plurality of light beams traveling in the waveguide through spatially different regions of the spatial converter.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE GENERATION OF A DOUBLE OR MULTIPLE SPOT IN LASER MATERIAL PROCESSING
The invention relates to a device and a method for generating a multiple spot during laser material processing. According to the present invention, the power distribution is selected by pushing at least a first mirror into the laser beam. The light beam always falls on only one side of the mirror, so that the mirror can be produced easily and economically.
LASER PROJECTOR
A laser projector includes a laser assembly, a beam combination mirror group and a phase delaying component. The laser assembly includes a red laser light emitting region, a blue laser light emitting region and a green laser light emitting region. Red laser light is polarized in a first direction, green laser light is polarized in a second direction, and blue laser light is polarized in a third direction. The beam combination mirror group combines the red laser light, the blue laser light and the green laser light. The phase delaying component is on a light emitting path of at least one of the red laser light, the blue laser light the green laser light, and changes a polarization direction of the at least one of the red laser light, the blue laser light or the green laser light before being output by the beam combination mirror group.
Generating a lattice of optical spin-orbit beams
In a general aspect, optical beams are manipulated. In some cases, an optical device includes an inlet to receive a first beam, and one or more prism pairs. Each prism pair includes one or more birefringent gradients configured to transform the first beam into a second beam. The second beam is associated with a lattice of cells, where each cell includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is associated with a first orbital angular momentum (OAM) mode and a first polarization, and the second portion is associated with a second OAM mode and a second polarization.
