Patient support structure, pressure relief module and non-powered pressure regulation method
A patient support structure includes a first supporting part, a second supporting part and a third supporting part. The first supporting part includes a first resilient member; the second supporting part includes a second resilient member; and the third supporting part is between the first supporting part and the second supporting part. The first supporting part, the second supporting part and the third supporting part together define a supporting surface extending along a longitudinal axis, and the second resilient member includes a first supporting area and a second supporting area different in supporting strength.
Long synthetic resin foam body
A long synthetic resin foam body composed of a thermoplastic resin expanded beads-molded substrate and a frame having displacement regulating sections provided at both ends in the longitudinal or lateral direction of the substrate and a connecting section that connects the displacement regulating sections to each other. The substrate has at least one joint forming portion that divides the substrate in a direction intersecting the connecting section into two or more substrate parts. The joint forming portion has a joint that connects the adjacent two substrate parts to each other and is deformable to permit a relative displacement between the adjacent two substrate parts when the substrate contracts or expands.
Foam Mattress With Symmetrical Wavy Foam Layers
A symmetrical zoned foam mattress includes an upper foam layer with a wavy lower side and a lower foam layer with a wavy upper side. The lower layer has top, middle and bottom lateral valleys. The wavy lower side of the upper layer is glued to the wavy upper side of the lower layer. The top lateral valley has a minimum located within eighteen inches of the top head end of the lower layer. The bottom lateral valley has a minimum located within eighteen inches of the bottom foot end of the lower layer. A center plane intersects the lower foam layer at a minimum of the middle lateral valley. The minimum of each of the top and bottom lateral valleys is about fifteen inches from the end of the mattress regardless of whether the consumer chooses to use the top or bottom end as the head of the mattress.
MODULAR SLEEP SOLUTION
A modular sleep apparatus that enables customization of a conventional mattress. The modular sleep apparatus includes a customizable mattress pad casing having pockets into which various inserts may be placed. The more the number of pockets, the greater customization the mattress pad allows. The inserts themselves can be of varying thickness, firmness, and material. In some embodiments, the inserts may also be placed directly over a conventional mattress and held in place with a fitted sheet. In other embodiments, the inserts are placed directly into pockets or envelopes in the top layer of a mattress. In other embodiments, the mattress pad casing is pre-assembled with inserts.

Firmness control for a smart response technology body support
Firmness control for a self-adjusting, non-powered smart response technology mattress includes a body support device; one or more layers overlaying the body support device and a side rail assembly circumscribing a perimeter of the body support device; and the firmness control. The body support device includes a plurality of fluid support cells, wherein each fluid support cell includes an envelope and a reforming element disposed within the envelope; and a non-powered manifold system including a manifold conduit fluidly coupled to at least two of the fluid support cells, and intake and exhaust valves fluidly coupled to the manifold conduit configured to dynamically open and close in response to a weight load. The firmness control includes a pressure relief valve fluidly connected to the manifold conduit via a conduit and configured to selectively permit a controlled amount of fluid flow out from the fluid support cells. Also disclosed are processes for adjusting firmness.
Methods and systems for a dynamic support mattress to treat and reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers
Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for preventing and treating pressure ulcers in bedfast patients. The invention includes providing a non-powered mattress having a first zone adapted to conform to a first body part and a second zone adapted to provide support to a second body part, and off-loading interface pressure on the first body part to the second body part by dynamically increasing the support provided to the second body part by the second zone based on a weight of the first body part on the first zone. The off-loading of interface pressure from the first body part to the second body part equalizes blood oxygen saturation in tissue of the first and second body parts. Numerous additional aspects are disclosed.
Mattress Pad With Channels
A tub and mattress pad for redirecting fluid away from breathing regions. An apparatus may comprise a mattress body and channels or channels disposed within the mattress body, wherein the channels are configured to redirect fluid away from one or more breathing regions of the mattress pad. The apparatus may also include a tub comprising a tub body and spires, wherein the mattress pad is seated on the tub.
AIR CONDITIONING AIR-PERMEABLE MATTRESS
An air conditioning air-permeable mattress includes a mattress body and a ventilation module. The mattress body forms a cavity housing a support member. The top face of the mattress body includes air outputting bores and connected with the cavity. All lateral sides of the mattress body excluding the top face include at least one air outlet connected with the cavity. The ventilation module is disposed outside the mattress body and connected with the air outlet through pipeline, whereby the air flow is discharged through the air outputting bores, and the running noise of machine would not affect sleeping quality. The inside of the mattress body is connected with the outside only through the air outlet and the air outputting bores, whereby the air supply of the ventilation module maintains the air flow in the mattress body for lowering the temperature of the mattress body surface.
Pneumatic haptic device having actuation cells for producing a haptic output over a bed mattress
An in-bed haptic device may include an array of actuation cells. Actuation cells of the array of actuation cells may be configured to actuate (e.g., expand, contract, or otherwise change shape) in a predetermined sequence to provide haptic outputs. The in-bed haptic device may be configured to be placed beneath a user during use, for example between a user and a mattress. The haptic outputs may be provided to help a user relax, to move and/or wake a user, to indicate outputs, alerts, or notifications at the in-bed haptic device or another electronic device, or the like.
