Systems, devices, and methods for sharing personal mobility devices

An embodiment takes the form of a locker includes a mobility device repository, an electrical system, a kiosk having a user interface, and a communication interface communicatively connected to a network. The mobility device repository is configured to secure one or more personal mobility devices at the mobility device repository. The electrical system is configured to receive electrical power and to charge respective batteries of the personal mobility devices secured at the mobility device repository using the electrical power. The locker receives a personal mobility device at the mobility device repository and secures the received personal mobility device at the mobility device repository, and receives a checked-in indication that the personal mobility device is checked in. The checked-in indication is received via the user interface or via the communication interface over the network. The locker charges a respective battery of the received personal mobility device using the electrical system.

ACCESS CONTROL ELECTRONICS FOR WIRELESS LOCKS

Access control electronics for wireless locks comprise one or more battery operated radios that receive access control codes. The wireless accessed locks locate the electronic components, circuits, sensors and antennas and many of the lock components away from the container being secured and closer to the operator/user. The disclosed access control electronics combine a proximity detection circuit comprising sensor pads and a capacitive sensing circuit and one or more short-range radio frequency antennas for reading RFID devices. The proximity sensor pads are in close proximity with the antennas, without the antennas interfering with the proximity sensing process, and the sensor pads to not attenuate the signals between the RFID devices and the antennas after the RFID devices are detected.

PERSONNEL INSPECTION WITH THREAT DETECTION AND DISCRIMINATION

A method includes receiving, from a plurality of magnetic field receivers including magnetic sensors, data characterizing samples obtained by the plurality of magnetic field receivers, the samples of a combination of a first magnetic field and a second magnetic field resulting from interaction of the first magnetic field and an object; determining, using the received data, a polarizability index of the object, the polarizability index characterizing a magnetic polarizability property of the object; classifying, using the determined polarizability index, the object as threat or non-threat; and providing the classification. Related apparatus, systems, techniques, and articles are also described.

SMARTLOCK SYSTEM FOR IMPROVED FIRE SAFETY

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage mediums, for a smartlock device that can be integrated in a door at a property. The smartlock device includes a locking mechanism configured to lock the door and to unlock the door. The device includes a radio device and a sensor that determines a first temperature of the smartlock device and a second temperature of a room that is accessible via the door. The radio device is operable to: i) receive parameter signals from the sensor indicating each of the first and second temperatures; ii) transmit data that includes the first and second temperatures to a monitoring system; and iii) receive a command to cause the locking mechanism to unlock the door based on information from the monitoring system. The information includes a determined routing of occupants at the property and is presented on a display of the device.
