A vertical grill comprises a back chimney within the housing having an inlet and an outlet. The inlet is in the form of one or more first openings in the back frame member, and the outlet being a second opening which is higher than the inlet. A first air intake located in at least one of the grill's panels. A removable tray module comprises a slide positioned at an incline between the front and back sides, configured to direct fats and break away solids to the front side of the tray. At least one channel is covered by the slide and configured for air flow. An external receptacle is positioned at the front side of the tray, wherein the slide leads into the receptacle so that fats and break away solids may be channeled into the external receptacle after traveling downwards along the incline of the slide.

A cooking device comprising a trough assembly and a chimney. The trough assembly comprises three or more troughs each extending radially outwards from the central section, each of the three or more troughs being configured to receive and retain combustible material from the central section. The chimney is configured to receive combustible material, the chimney fitting at least partially within the central section.

A method and apparatus can include: a body having an inner surface and a bottom floor; a vertical basket having a spacer and an exposed perforated bottom the perforated bottom exposed from the bottom floor of the body by the spacer, the vertical basket further including a vertical grating and a solid back, the vertical basket for holding an ignited fuel source and radiating heat through the grating; and a skewer parallel to the grating, the skewer including a bracket for securing a food product to the skewer.

The disclosed embodiments provide a temperature controlled charcoal grill and smoker that enables users to better control the cooking and smoking temperature relative to previous solutions. In some embodiments, for example, a user may place a divider in the interior of a fuel basket to coarsely adjust the amount and type of solid fuel used to heat a food-cooking enclosure of the temperature controlled charcoal grill and smoker. In addition, the user can also position a heat deflector tent above one or more heat transfer openings in a grease tray to further adjust the cooking and smoking temperature. Further still, the user can provide even finer control (including closed-loop control) over the cooking and smoking temperature using a controller that controls the speed of a fan that directs combustion air into the fuel basket.

A grill system is disclosed and may include a grate comprising a plurality of grill members. The grate may include a stationary region and a chute aperture. The grill system may further include a chute comprising a chute top portion and a chute bottom portion. The chute may engage the grate by traversing through the chute aperture. The perimeter of the chute aperture may be reinforced by a secondary member.

A pizza oven may include an upper portion, a lower portion, and cooking surface apparatus located between the upper portion and the lower portion. The pizza oven may be configured to provide a consistent and an even cooking environment in an enclosed region defined by the upper portion.

The barbecue further includes at least a reflecting surface facing the radiating element and arranged so as to reflect, towards the grill, the radiating heat coming from the radiating element, and a cover device placed between the grill and the radiating element to shield the radiating element from substances falling from the grill.

A cooker includes a cooking chamber having a first end and a second opposite end. A firepot is located at the bottom of the cooking chamber near the first end. The firepot receives and burns fuel to heat the cooking chamber. An exhaust stack is mounted near the second end of the cooking chamber. A heat management plate divides the cooking chamber into a lower fire pit portion and an upper cooking portion. The heat plate has an array of hot gas convection openings that extend between a first location which is spaced away from the firewall and a second location that is adjacent to the stack wall. The open area presented by the openings increases between the first location and the second location. An optional adjustable gate may also be present in the heat management plate between the firewall and the first location.

A heat extractor for a grill having a cooking chamber includes an outer housing and a cap over the outer housing, together cooperating to bound an outer chamber, wherein the outer chamber is coupled to an environment through a vent. An extraction assembly is disposed within the outer chamber and bounds a plenum. The extraction assembly is for controlling movement of air from the cooking chamber into the plenum and out of the plenum into the outer chamber. The extraction assembly includes a motor, a carousel mounted to the motor for rotation within the plenum, an intake grill for admitting air into the plenum, and a damper assembly for emitting air out of the plenum. The carousel is mounted for rotation to draw air through the intake grill, into the plenum, and out the damper assembly.

Disclosed are a multifunctional control assembly and a charcoal oven. The multifunctional control assembly is applied to the charcoal oven. The charcoal oven has a fuel rack for placing charcoals. The multifunctional control assembly includes a partition member and an extension member. The partition member is provided on the fuel rack and configured to partition the fuel rack into a concentration zone located at an inner side of the partition member and a dispersal zone located at an outer side of the partition member. The extension member is provided on the partition member and in contact with the partition member, and a storage groove for storing water or spices is formed at the extension member.
