Dishwasher
A control method for a dishwasher that includes a spray arm, a sump configured to provide a space where washing water is stored and to collect washing water sprayed from the spray arm, a housing configured to connect the sump and the spray arm, a heater located in the housing, an impeller located in the housing and above the heater, and a motor configured to rotate the impeller, is described. The control method includes the actions of supplying washing water to the sump; rotating the impeller by supplying electricity to the motor; measuring an amount of electric current supplied to the motor during the rotating of the impeller; and heating washing water located in the housing by operating the heater based on the amount of electric current supplied to the motor during the rotating of the impeller being greater than or equal to a preset reference amount.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING WATER SUPPLY OF DISHWASHER
A dishwasher and a method for controlling a dishwasher are provided. The dishwasher may include a washing tub that defines a washing space in which one or more dishes may be placed; an injection unit that injects wash water to the dishes; a sump provided underneath of the washing tub; a drive that supplies and circulates the wash water stored in the sump to the injection unit; and a drainage pump that drains the wash water from the sump. The method for controlling the dishwasher may include supplying wash water to the dishwasher; washing dishes using the wash water; rinsing the washed dishes; and drying the dishes. The method may further include exhausting by operating the drainage pump for a predetermined period of time to exhaust air from the drainage pump after the supplying of the wash water to the dishwasher.
DRAIN PUMP FOR LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
A drain pump for a laundry treating apparatus includes a housing, an impeller, a motor, a circulation outlet, and a drain outlet. The circulation outlet and the drain outlet are defined on an outer circumferential surface of the housing, enable communication of the washing water with the housing, and protrude outward in directions tangential to the outer circumferential surface. The housing includes a rib that protrudes from an inner circumferential surface of the housing, that is located between the circulation outlet and the drain outlet, and that is to configured to guide the washing water to the circulation outlet or to the drain outlet based on a direction of rotation of the impeller.
Food waste collector system with overhead sprayer
A food waste collector system has a tank, a pump that recirculates water by pumping it from the tank through a spout that discharges into the top of the tank, and an overhead sprayer. The overhead sprayer has a nozzle fluidly coupled by a fresh water valve to a fresh water passage of a water line and by a recirculating water valve to a recirculating water passage of the water line. The overhead sprayer also has a valve handle disposed at the nozzle and coupled to the fresh water valve and the recirculating water valve.
ALTERNATING PUMP DIRECTION FOR FLUID DETECTION
A domestic appliance and a method at the domestic appliance for detecting presence of process water in a pump of the domestic appliance are provided. The method of detecting process water in a pump of a domestic appliance may include operating the pump to rotate in a first direction, recording a first response of the pump rotating in the first direction based on a measured pump operation parameter, operating the pump to rotate in a second direction, and recording a second response of the pump rotating in the second direction based on the measured pump operation parameter. The method may further include comparing the first response and the second response, and determining the presence of water in the pump based on the comparison of the first and second response.
Wash system for washing appliance
A washing machine such as a dishwashing machine, preferably of the drawer-style or table-top style, or a laundry washing machine, the washing machine having at least one low-height wash liquid conduit connecting the outlet of a sump region of a washing tub to a wash pump. A cover plate is provided for covering a section of the washing tub base and the at least one low-height conduit is formed between the base of the washing tub and the cover plate by a combination thereof. The surface of a heating unit forms a surface of the low-height conduit and the sump is provided with multiple outlets.
Automatic cleaning filter and dishwasher equipped with the same
The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher equipped with an automatic cleaning filter including a tub 12 provided with a washing space 12a that accommodates cooking vessels, a sump 100 disposed under the washing space 12a and configured to store a washing liquid, an automatic cleaning filter 200 disposed in the sump 100, and a washing pump 150 connected to the sump 100 and configured to re-circulate a washing liquid. The automatic cleaning filter 200 includes a rotating filter 210, an inlet guide 220, a filter housing 230, and a driver 270. The rotating filter 210 includes a plurality of first holes 213 and a lateral surface portion 212 surrounding a predetermined vacant space. The inlet guide 220 includes a first outlet 224 which discharges the washing liquid including foreign substances into the rotating filer 210.
Silverware, flatware or parts washer apparatus and method thereof
An apparatus and a method of washing (or pre-washing) silverware/flatware, or one or more other objects/parts is provided. The apparatus and method utilizes a fluid-push/pull pumping system and method in which generally an entire volume of fluid is pushed or pulled through a cavity of a housing in which the silverware/flatware or other objects/parts are located. The housing is configured to hold a mass of silverware or other item(s) within the cavity. The pumping system is configured to pump generally an entire volume of fluid is out of the cavity, and to direct the pumped fluid back into the cavity to create a generally continuous flow of generally an entire volume of fluid through the cavity, thereby causing the fluid to flow through the mass of silverware or other item(s).
