Conductive optical element
A device having an optical element with a conductive coating. The device may include an optical element, a conductive material and at least one connector. The conductive material is disposed on at least a portion of the optical element. The optical element, for example, may be an object lens of an endoscope or an optical coupler. The connectors (acting as terminal(s)) are capable of providing energy (such as electrical energy) to the conductive material. In one aspect, the conductive material is an optically transparent material. Advantageously, the device may allow visualization of an object—such as body tissue or other matter—concurrent with the application of energy to the object via the conductive coating. This allows the user to observe the alteration of tissue and other matter in real time as the energy is delivered.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PHOTOGRAPHING OBJECT USING TOP AND BOTTOM BUTTONS
There are provided an apparatus and method for photographing an object. An apparatus for photographing an object using top and bottom buttons includes: a head part including a camera; a connection part coupled to the head part and extended in a length direction thereof, and having a first button for manipulating the camera on an extension line in the length direction from a formation position of the head part and a second button for manipulating the camera formed on a surface opposite to the first button; and a body part including a power source means coupled to the connection part and supplying power to the camera, and a display means displaying a state of the camera or a power state.
ENDOSCOPIC INSTRUMENT
This disclosure relates to instruments and methods of performing an endoscopy. An endoscope for producing images of a surgery in vivo may include a hub and an imaging rod extending from the hub, the imaging rod being configured to receive light and direct the light to an imaging sensor located adjacent to a distal end of the imaging rod, the hub and the imaging rod being attached to form an assembly having a center of mass established distally of the hub. In other implementations, the hub may be omitted.
OBSERVATION APPARATUS AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
A light source illumination unit has operation modes including at least a normal electric power mode to operate with first electric power consumption, and a low electric power mode to operate with second electric power consumption lower than the first electric power consumption. A controller selects at least one of the operation modes in accordance with a use schedule, and controls the light source illumination unit in accordance with the selected operation mode.
ENDOSCOPE AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM INCLUDING ENDOSCOPE
An endoscope includes: an insertion portion; a first observation portion configured to observe a first area including a front of the insertion portion; a second observation portion configured to observe a second area including a side of the insertion portion and be adjacent to the first area; a first illumination portion configured to irradiate the second area with first illumination light; and a second illumination portion configured to irradiate the second area with second illumination light, and the second illumination portion performs irradiation with the second illumination light of a light quantity equal to a light quantity for which the first illumination light in a range observed in the second observation portion and illumination light from an illumination portion configured to irradiate the first area with the illumination light are put together.
In vivo information acquiring apparatus
A capsule endoscope includes: an in vivo information acquiring section that acquires information on an inside of a body of a subject; a battery that supplies power; a power source switch that turns on/off power supply from the battery to the in vivo information acquiring section; a detection section that includes at least two electrodes disposed on an outer face of a casing, and, upon detection of introduction to the inside of the body of the subject based on a change in electric resistance between the electrodes, outputs a detection signal; and a control section that controls the power source switch according to the detection signal.
Laryngoscope
A laryngoscope that includes a low-profile, straight laryngoscope blade that is thin and tapered in width and height, and designed to be intuitive in use and function. A distal tip of the blade may be configured to be placed in the anterior oropharynx with the angled camera (e.g., 10 degrees-40 degrees), thereby providing views of the airway and facilitating blade advancement. Real-time image data collected during a laryngoscopy may be communicated to a medical professional for immediate and ongoing feedback during a laryngoscopy or communicated to an electronic medical record. The laryngoscope provides first responders and airway managers of varying abilities a unique, portable, wireless laryngoscope to optimally manage airways and provide the greatest likelihood of safe, atraumatic airway access. The laryngoscope with the transformational laryngoscope blade design having an angled camera and wireless video forms a singular, effective instrument for airway managers and medical professionals.
METHOD FOR OPERATING THE HEATING SYSTEM OF AN ENDOSCOPE, HEATING SYSTEM OF AN ENDOSCOPE, AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
A method for operating a heating system of an endoscope. The endoscope including a heating element and a temperature sensor in a distal region of the endoscope and a supply unit outside of the endoscope, the supply unit being connected to the heating element and the temperature sensor, wherein the supply unit activates and deactivates a power supply for the heating element on a basis of a temperature measurement value ascertained by means of the temperature sensor using two-state control, and a monitoring unit including a monitoring circuit which is powered by the power supply for the heating element. The method including: monitoring, with the monitoring circuit, the temperature sensor for a malfunction; and interrupting the power supply to the heating element if the malfunction of the temperature sensor is determined.
ENDOSCOPE INCLUDING A CLEANING ASSEMBLY
An endoscope includes a cleaning assembly that enables cleaning of a lens of the endoscope during a surgical procedure to maintain a clear image without having to remove the endoscope from the patient's body. The cleaning assembly includes an ultrasonic transducer operatively coupled to the lens to provide vibration thereto to remove fluids and debris from the lens, and an ultrasonic generator providing driving signals to the ultrasonic transducer.
CONTROL METHOD AND SYSTEM OF VIBRATION CAPSULE
The present invention provides a control method and system of a vibration capsule. The control method comprising: receiving a detection command of an acceleration sensor and controlling the acceleration sensor to work; obtaining a working acceleration data and transmitting the working acceleration data to an external device; and analyzing the working acceleration data and determining the position of the vibration capsule by the external device.
