ENDOSCOPE WITH WIDE ANGLE LENS AND ADJUSTABLE VIEW
The present invention provides a system for altering the field of view of an endoscope image, comprising: at least one endoscope having a wide-angle lens in said endoscope's distal end; at least one camera located in said endoscope's proximal end, adapted to image a field of view of said endoscope image by means of said wide-angle lens; and a computer program which, when executed by data processing apparatus, is configured to select at least a portion of said field of view; wherein said portion of said field of view is selectable without physically maneuvering said endoscope or said wide-angle lens such that a virtual maneuvering of said field of view is provided.
Medical instrument system
Exemplary aspects of a medical instrument system are disclosed. The system may have a support frame movably coupled to a patient table, the support frame having a computer display support, and an endoscope holder, wherein the computer display support and the endoscope holder are coupled to move together as a single unit. In some aspects, the system includes a computer display device, and an endoscope, wherein the computer display device and the endoscope are coupled to the support frame to move together as a single unit, and the patient table, computer display device, and the endoscope are arranged along a common longitudinal axis.
Recording a state of a medical device
A system and method of recording a state of a medical device having a disposable component includes operating the medical device to provide a medical procedure using a disposable component. The disposable component is installed on an external surface of the medical device housing by a human operator and removable therefrom for disposal. The system and method include detecting an error condition on the medical device and, in response, acquiring an image from a camera coupled to the medical device. The image, representing the disposable component and the external housing, is stored in a memory of the medical device and is accessible for later retrieval.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DISPLAYING AN ENDOSCOPE VIDEO ON A DISPLAY HAVING A LOWER RESOLUTION THAN THE ENDOSCOPE VIDEO
Embodiments described herein provide various examples of displaying an endoscope video of an endoscope resolution on a display having a screen resolution lower than the endoscope resolution. In one aspect, a process of displaying the endoscope video on the display can begin by displaying a portion of the endoscope video having the same resolution as the screen resolution on the display. While displaying the portion of the endoscope video, the process detects a surgical tool present in an off-screen portion of the endoscope video not visible on the display, and therefore not visible to the user. The process further analyzes the off-screen portion of the endoscope video including the detected surgical tool. The process subsequently generates an alert when a risk of the detected surgical tool is identified.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
An information processing device includes: a processor including hardware. The processor is configured to analyze, based on gaze data obtained by detecting a gaze of a user and input externally, an attention degree of the gaze of the user with respect to an observation image, allocate importance corresponding to the attention degree to speech data representing speech of the user, the speech data being input externally and being associated with a same time axis as a time axis of the gaze data, record the speech data and the importance in a storage, and set a region of interest in the observation image according to the attention degree and the importance.
ENDOSCOPE DEVICE
An endoscope device includes: a balloon; a balloon controller; a remote controller capable of inputting a plurality of types of balloon operations including an inflation operation and a deflation operation of the balloon; a controller operation switch (multifunctional switch) for operating the balloon controller, the controller operation switch being provided in an endoscope and capable of inputting a plurality of types of the balloon operations that are common to the remote controller; and a processor (display control unit), in which the processor is configured to, in a case in which the balloon operation is input to the controller operation switch, reflect a type of the balloon operation input to the controller operation switch on a remote controller image displayed on a monitor.
CONTROL OF LIGHT SOURCES ON AN INTRAORAL MIRROR WITH AN INTEGRATED CAMERA
Disclosed embodiments integrate a camera into an intraoral mirror. Integrating a camera into an intraoral mirror provides an efficient way to record and display what is visible to the healthcare provider in the mirror.
Head mounted display device for use in a medical facility
A head-mounted display device interfaces with a medical device configured to perform an invasive procedure on a patient. The display device includes a frame for mounting on a person's head, a display, a wireless transceiver configured to communicate with a network, and a processing circuit. The processing circuit is coupled to the frame, the display and the wireless transceiver and receives input data relating to the medical device. The processing circuit retrieves from a memory an instruction relating to the medical device based on the input data and displays the instruction relating to the medical device on the display.
Medical instrument with integral navigation control features
Variations of integral navigation controls may be used in conjunction with a medical instrument to provide navigation functions for an image guided surgery (IGS) system that is in communication with the integral navigation controls. In some variations, a medical instrument with integrated navigation wheels allows movement of a cursor of the IGS system along the x and y axis by scrolling the wheel, or allows selection, zooming, or other controls by combined clicking and/or scrolling of wheels, and may be sterilized or discarded along with the device. In some other variations, a control overlay may be temporarily attached to the medical instrument to provide additional controls, such as buttons or a pointing stick, and then removed and sterilized or discarded after a procedure. In each variation, inputs may be communicated via wire or wirelessly to an IGS system to provide navigation of images during a surgical procedure.
IMAGE RECORDING AND REPRODUCTION APPARATUS, IMAGE RECORDING METHOD, AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
An image recording and reproduction apparatus includes: a record data generation circuit configured to generate record data based on an inputted video signal; an operation input device configured to receive a signal generated based on an operation of one or more persons, for one or more operation instructors that accept an operation for adding chapter information to the video signal; an operation system determination circuit configured to determine at least one of the operation instructor generating the signal received by the operation input device, and a person performing the operation, and output a determination result; and a first processor configured to cause the record data generation circuit to generate the record data that associates the chapter information with the video signal, by generating chapter information of a chapter type based on the determination result of the operation system determination circuit, and supplying the information to the record data generation circuit.
