Computerized information collection and processing apparatus
Computerized information acquisition and processing apparatus. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a video apparatus with image capture and digitization capability, and multiple wireless interfaces for accomplishing various purposes, including e.g., streaming the digitized video data to another device for viewing and/or storage thereon. In one variant, one of the wireless interfaces is a short range passive RFID-based interface which generates replies to interrogation signals, the replies including user-specific information.
Centralized control apparatus
A centralized control apparatus is a centralized control apparatus configured to operate in a centralized manner, one or more operated devices used in a medical action, and includes a specification section configured to specify at least one of an operator and a procedure, an end operation section configured to receive an end operation to end the centralized operation of the operated device when the medical action ends, a recording section configured to record information on an operated device for which an end operation is necessary in association with at least one of the operator and the procedure, and a control section configured to, when the end operation section receives the end operation, acquire and execute setting items of an end process on the operated device linked by the recording section based on the specification result of the specification section.
ENDOSCOPE APPARATUS, FUNCTION LIMITATION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM HAVING PROGRAM RECORDED THEREIN
An endoscope apparatus that includes a storage memory storing first authentication information, a transmitter/receiver that performs communication with an endoscope, and an operational device. The operational device performs a process including acquiring the first authentication information stored in the storage memory and acquiring second authentication information stored in the endoscope connected to the endoscope apparatus from the endoscope. The operational device further performs determining whether the acquired first and second authentication information match each other, and limiting execution of at least some functions among a plurality of functions to be executed in cooperation with the endoscope in response to determining that the first and second authentication information do not match each other.
MEDICAL SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING MEDICAL SYSTEM
A medical system includes: an endoscope including an insertion portion inserted into a subject, an image pickup device configured to output an image signal of the subject being arranged in the insertion portion; a video processor configured to process the image signal to generate image data; an insertion length acquisition apparatus configured to acquire information on an insertion length when the insertion portion of the endoscope is inserted into the subject; and an image recording apparatus including a storage device configured to record the image data as a moving image. The image recording apparatus includes an image generation apparatus configured to edit the moving image and generate a moving image for saving, based on the information on the insertion length supplied from the insertion length acquisition apparatus.
Endoscope system and control method
An endoscope system includes: a processor configured to perform image processing on endoscopic image data, the processor being connectable with multiple peripherals, the processor being configured to receive an input of a first audio command; a terminal device configured to wirelessly communicate with the processor and receive an input of a second audio command; a setting circuit configured to, in a case where the processor and the terminal device can communicate with each other, make a setting such that the first audio command that is receivable by the processor and the second audio command that is receivable by the terminal device differ from each other at least partly; and a first communication controller configured to, when the first audio command or the second audio command serves as an instruction to record the endoscopic image data, transmit the endoscopic image data to the terminal device.
Surgical tool having integrated microphones
Communication apparatus and devices for surgical robotic systems are described. The communication apparatus can include a user console in communication with a communication device having a surgical tool. The communication device can include a microphone to convert a sound input into an acoustic input signal. The communication device can transmit the acoustic input signal to the user console for reproduction as a sound output for a remote operator. The surgical tool can include an endoscope having several microphones mounted on a housing. The surgical tool can be a sterile barrier having a microphone and a drape. The microphone(s) of the surgical tools can face a surrounding environment such that a tableside staff is a source of the sound input that causes the sound output, and a surgeon and the table side staff can communicate in a noisy environment. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method, and non-transitory computer readable recording medium
An information-processing apparatus includes a display displaying an image; a memory recording voice data having a voice pronounced at each of plural observation points of the image; a gaze detector generating gaze data by detecting a gaze of a user; a voice input device generating voice data associated with a time axis identical to that of the gaze data by receiving a voice of the user; and a processor to analyze a attention period where a attention degree of the gaze to each of the plural observation points is a predetermined value or greater, based on the gaze data, set a period where the voice is pronounced with respect to the voice data as an important voice period, based on the voice data, and generate calibration data based on a time lag between the attention period and the important voice period.
LARYNGOSCOPE WITH PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETER INDICATOR
A laryngoscope system includes a monitor having communication circuitry and that communicates physiological parameter information to communication circuitry of a paired laryngoscope. The paired laryngoscope includes a camera and a display configured to display image data from the camera. A processor of the laryngoscope is programmed to generate instructions to provide a physiological parameter indicator via the laryngoscope based on the received physiological parameter information from the monitor.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING FLUID DEFICIT
A fluid management and medical device system may include a fluid management system and a medical device having one or more sensors proximate the distal end of the elongate shaft of the medical device. The controller of the fluid management system may be configured to calculate a fluid deficit when the distal end of the elongate shaft is disposed within a patient and configured to automatically pause fluid deficit calculation when the distal end of the elongate shaft is removed from the patient. In some instances the controller is configured to calculate the fluid deficit using rotational speed of the inflow pump in combination with a difference between a change in weight of a fluid supply source supplying fluid to the fluid management system and a change in weight of a collection container collecting fluid from the fluid management system.
Smart glasses system
A physician performing a physical examination can miss subtle abnormalities, such as alterations of respiratory rate or dangerous skin lesion. A surgeon performing surgery can miss small areas of bleeding or tumor implants. This invention comprises head display unit comprising sensors that gathers data and in real time analyzes the data for potential hazards and alerts the user of a potential hazardous scenario.
