MACHINE ARRANGEMENT FOR SEQUENTIAL PROCESSING OF SHEET-TYPE SUBSTRATES

A machine arrangement, for sequentially processing sheet-type substrates, includes a plurality of different processing stations, one of which includes a non-impact printing device that prints the substrates. The processing station, including the non-impact printing device, also includes a printing cylinder, on the circumference of which, the non-impact printing device that prints the substrates is arranged. On the circumferential surface of the printing cylinder, four substrates are or can be placed behind each other in the circumferential direction. Each of the substrates that are to be conveyed are retained in one of a force-locking and a form-fitting manner on the circumferential surface of the printing cylinder by at least one retaining element.

Augmented reality pulse oximetry

One embodiment is directed to a system comprising a head-mounted member removably coupleable to the user's head; one or more electromagnetic radiation emitters coupled to the head-mounted member and configured to emit light with at least two different wavelengths toward at least one of the eyes of the user; one or more electromagnetic radiation detectors coupled to the head-mounted member and configured to receive light reflected after encountering at least one blood vessel of the eye; and a controller operatively coupled to the one or more electromagnetic radiation emitters and detectors and configured to cause the one or more electromagnetic radiation emitters to emit pulses of light while also causing the one or more electromagnetic radiation detectors to detect levels of light absorption related to the emitted pulses of light, and to produce an output that is proportional to an oxygen saturation level in the blood vessel.

Methods and systems for diagnosing contrast sensitivity

Configurations are disclosed for a health system to be used in various healthcare applications, e.g., for patient diagnostics, monitoring, and/or therapy. The health system may comprise a light generation module to transmit light or an image to a user, one or more sensors to detect a physiological parameter of the user's body, including their eyes, and processing circuitry to analyze an input received in response to the presented images to determine one or more health conditions or defects.

An ophthalmic surgical system includes a first imaging system configured to generate a first image of an eye, a second imaging system configured to generate a second image of the eye, and an image registration system to receive the first image generated by the first imaging system, receive the second image generated by a second imaging system, track a location of a distal tip of a surgical instrument in the first image, define a priority registration region in the first image, register the priority registration region in the first image with a corresponding region in the second image, and update the registration of the priority registration region in the first image with the corresponding region in the second image in real time, without registering portions of the first or second images that are outside the registration regions.

VISUAL FIELD TEST DEVICE

A visual field device includes a light source and an eyepiece. The light source includes a backlight arranged to generate, in use, light directed towards a first liquid crystal display (LCD) screen and a second LCD screen, the first LCD screen and the second LCD screen overlapping one another and the backlight such that the light source outputs light transmitted through both the first and second LCD screens. The eyepiece is arranged between the light source and a subject position, the eyepiece being configured to receive light output by the light source and focus the received light towards the subject position. Each of the first and second LCD screens include a respective array of pixels, each pixel being controllable so as to vary its transmittance to light generated by the back-light.

Systems and methods for visual field testing in head-mounted displays

A method is disclosed for improving accuracy of visual field testing in head-mounted displays. The method includes retrieving a visual field testing pattern for a head-mounted display, the visual field testing pattern including icons displayed at respective locations in a visual field of the head-mounted display. The visual field testing pattern is generated on the head-mounted display. Data is retrieved from a tilt sensor, located at the head-mounted display, for detecting degrees of head tilt of a user wearing the head-mounted display and the degree of head tilt is determined. A comparison is made between the degree of head tilt of the user to a first threshold degree. In response to the degree of head tilt of the user meeting or exceeding the first threshold degree, a recommendation to the user is generated for display on the head-mounted display.
