20210076930 · 2021-03-18 ·

Systems and methods for assessing vision and correcting vision problems are provided. A head-mountable virtual reality display controlled via a computing device can be worn by a user to display virtual reality images to the user. The images can be displayed as part of an interactive and engaging activity that can be used to determine a value of a certain parameter of the user's eyes. The activity can also be intended as a treatment procedure during which user's eyes are trained to perceive objects having certain properties that unassisted eyes of the user are normally not able to perceive. User input is acquired to determine user's perception of the displayed virtual reality images. The computing device can be a smartphone configured to perform the vision tests or treatment under control of a remote computing device operated by a trained clinician.

Machine arrangement for sequential processing of sheet-type substrates

A machine arrangement, for sequentially processing sheet-type substrates, includes a plurality of different processing stations, one of which includes a non-impact printing device that prints the substrates. The processing station, including the non-impact printing device, also includes a printing cylinder, on the circumference of which, the non-impact printing device that prints the substrates is arranged. On the circumferential surface of the printing cylinder, four substrates are or can be placed behind each other in the circumferential direction. Each of the substrates that are to be conveyed are retained in one of a force-locking and a form-fitting manner on the circumferential surface of the printing cylinder by at least one retaining element.

Visual field testing method, system, and testing apparatus based on head-mounted testing equipment

The present disclosure relates to a visual field testing method, system, and testing apparatus based on head-mounted testing equipment. The method includes: transmitting, by the testing apparatus in electronic equipment, a start notification for starting monitoring of a movement trajectory of a pupil of a current eye to be tested to an eye movement tracking system after receiving a start test instruction transmitted from a controller; receiving, by the testing apparatus, movement state information of the pupil that is transmitted from the eye movement tracking system; and determining, by the testing apparatus, the movement trajectory of the pupil according to the movement state information, wherein the controller is a component that is associated with the head-mounted testing equipment and communicatively connected to the testing apparatus of the electronic equipment.

ADAPTIVE OPTICS SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VITREORETINAL SURGERY
20210038067 · 2021-02-11 ·

The present disclosure provides an adaptive optics system including at least one active pixel sensor array that detects light and sends a signal to a processor. The adaptive optics system also includes a wavefront correction system including at least one wavefront control structure and the processor, and that executes instructions on the processor to produce a digital image in which at least one wavefront distortion in the light detected by the active pixel sensor array is partially or fully corrected. The disclosure also provides methods of using the adaptive optics system.

OPHTHALMIC APPARATUS, AND RECORDING MEDIUM STORING OPHTHALMIC APPARATUS CONTROLLING PROGRAM

Provided is an ophthalmic apparatus for examining an examinee's eye, including: an examination device configured to examine the examinee's eye; an approacher in the examination device, configured to approach the examinee; a detector configured to detect approach of the approacher to the examinee; and a controller configured to switch an operation mode between a first mode where an avoidance operation for avoiding the approach is performed and a second mode where the avoidance operation is not performed, upon the detector detecting the approach.

METHODS AND KITS FOR DETECTION OF BLAST BRAIN INJURY, ITS SEVERITY, DISTANCE FROM BLAST EPICENTER, AND CLASSIFICATION RELATIVE TO THE LARGER SPECTRUM OF CONCUSSION
20210030349 · 2021-02-04 ·

The present disclosure is directed to the first methods and systems for diagnosing a patient being affected by a brain injury from a blast with greater accuracy that previous methods. The methods and system include an automated, non-invasive method for assessing the variance of a patient's ocular motility relative to a matched cohort of unaffected subjects, and using the variance in one or more ocular motility metrics to calculate a score that indicates a likelihood that the patient suffers from a blast brain injury. The score, referred to as a BIS, discriminates between affected an unaffected subjects with a sensitivity of greater than about 85%, a specificity of greater than 75%. The ROCAUC of the BIS is greater than 0.85.

METHOD FOR AUTOMATING COLLECTION, ASSOCIATION, AND COORDINATION OF MULTIPLE MEDICAL DATA SOURCES
20240000314 · 2024-01-04 ·

A method of automating the collection, association, and coordination of multiple medical data sources using a coordinating service application, computer, database, and/or server system to manage devices, examinations, and people involved in the medical examination and treatment process. In an embodiment, the method comprises authenticating a user for a premises, a device, or a device group, validating particular use of the device based on user credentials or type of device or device group, associating a medical examination with a patient or a medical examination schedule, associating medical examination data from a device or device group with a related medical examination session, routing medical examination data to a computer, database, or server, and pairing medical examination session data with a medical interpretation, clinical testing results, diagnoses, and/or other recorded information.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DIAGNOSING AND TREATING PRESBYOPIA

Configurations are disclosed for a health system to be used in various healthcare applications, e.g., for patient diagnostics, monitoring, and/or therapy. The health system may comprise a light generation module to transmit light or an image to a user, one or more sensors to detect a physiological parameter of the user's body, including their eyes, and processing circuitry to analyze an input received in response to the presented images to determine one or more health conditions or defects.
