A blood pressure measurement method includes wrapping a cuff around a site. During inflation, the pressure of the second bladder is made larger than the first bladder by supplying more fluid such that the stroke amount by which the second fluid bladder swells is larger in the thickness direction. Then, the two bladders are inflated at equal rates. In the process of inflating, or in the process of deflating at rates equal to each other after inflating, blood pressure is measured.
