METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR NEAR INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY
A system for performing near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) monitors tissue oxygenation and/or hemodynamics. The system comprises a sensor coupled to a controller and/or processing device. The sensor comprises a light source which is operable to emit light of various distinct wavelengths and a detector which is operable to collect corresponding backscattered light.
Modular wearable sensor
A modular wearable health monitor having a substantially flexible attachment means connected to a housing comprising a power source and at least one processor through a relatively rigid and narrow spine disposed substantially centrally thereon having a variety of clinical and non-clinical uses that provides more comfortable and durable attachment of biometric sensors to a user by allowing the attachment means to contour to the user's body without the housing also being forced to do so along its entire width.
Integrated detection scheme for fast blood flow measurement
Disclosed are various embodiments for integrated diffuse correlation spectroscopy. A first control signal can be sent to a switch to cause an integrator to integrate a current from a photodiode. An integrated current can be received from the integrator, and a data signal can be sent to a computing device based at least in part on the integrated current. A second control signal can be sent to a switch to cause the integrator to cease integrating the current from the photodiode.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VASCULAR AND STRUCTURAL IMAGING
Disclosed herein are methods of vascular and structural imaging using imaging systems and methods described, the methods comprising producing an image of the vasculature or structure by imaging fluorescence using an imaging system, the system comprising: i) one or more detectors configured to form a fluorescence image of the sample and form a visible image of the sample; ii) a light source configured to emit an excitation light to induce fluorescence from the sample; and iii) a plurality of optics arranged to: direct the excitation light toward the sample; and direct a fluorescent light and a visible light from the sample to the detector; wherein the excitation light and the fluorescence light are directed substantially coaxially.
BLOOD PRESSURE MEASUREMENT METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a biometric sensor for detecting biometric data, a situation sensing module, memory, and a processor operatively coupled to the biometric sensor, the situation sensing module, and the memory. The processor can check whether a user is in an inactive state using the situation sensing module, check reference biometric data corresponding to the inactive state if the user is in the inactive state, extract biometric data of the user using the biometric sensor, and measure the blood pressure of the user on the basis of the extracted biometric data and the reference biometric data.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING LIGHT SIGNAL
Provided is an apparatus configured to detect a light signal, the apparatus including a light source configured to radiate light toward an object, a light receiver configured to receive an ambient light and a transmitted light corresponding to the light radiated toward the object from the light source, at least one processor configured to control the light source to be turned off such that a first output signal is generated by the light receiver and control the light source to be turned on such that a second output signal is generated by the light receiver, and an operator configured to generate a transmitted light signal from which noise is removed by differentially operating the second output signal from the first output signal.
METHOD FOR PREDICTING AROUSAL LEVEL AND AROUSAL LEVEL PREDICTION APPARATUS
An arousal level prediction apparatus and method are disclosed. The arousal level prediction apparatus obtains first biological information indicating current biological information of the user, obtains first environment information indicating a current environment around the user, and obtains living information of the user indicating an activity history of the user. The arousal level predication apparatus includes a process that calculates a first arousal level indicating a current arousal level of the user based on the first biological information, predicts a second arousal level, which is an arousal level of the user at a certain period of time later, based on the first arousal level, the first environment information and the living information, and outputs the second arousal level.
OPTICAL SPECKLE RECEIVER
An optical speckle receiver for receiving a speckle signal from a sample, the optical speckle receiver comprising an optical detector and an aperture and/or lens array. The aperture and array respectively comprise a plurality of apertures or lenses and is located between the sample and the optical detector such that the received speckle pattern is obtained from multiple discrete sample locations.
MEDICAL PHOTOMETER
An input interface is configured to receive a signal corresponding to a quantity of light that has passed through a living tissue of a subject. A pressurization controller is configured to control a pressurizing operation performed with a pressurization device attached to a body of the subject, thereby changing at least one of a thickness of the living tissue, an amount of blood contained in the living tissue, an amount of cellular interstitial fluid contained in the living tissue, an amount of blood flowing into the living tissue, and an amount of blood flowing out from the living tissue. A processor is configured to acquire, from a temporal change of the signal due to the pressurizing operation, a feature quantity that is used for estimating at least one of a physiological state of the living tissue and a disease state of the subject.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR DETECTING FLUID FLOW
A medical device may comprise a plurality of prongs, each of the prongs having a sensor configured to detect a flow of fluid; and a sleeve disposed radially outward of the plurality of prongs. The sleeve may be configured to move proximally and distally relative to the plurality of prongs to transition the plurality of prongs from a contracted configuration to an expanded configuration.
