Systems and methods of determining dimensions of structures in medical images
Systems and methods for producing ultrasound images are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, ultrasound image data are acquired in discrete time increments at one or more positions relative to a subject. Control points are added by a user for two or more image frames and a processor interpolates the location of the control points for image frames obtained at in-between times.
Wound therapy tubeset system for wound volume estimation
A tubeset module includes one or more elements of a negative pressure wound therapy (“NPWT”) system, such as a valve, a calibrated leak, a pressure sensor, etc. The tubeset module may communicate with a controller of the NPWT system via a communications interface provided by the tubeset module. The communication between the tubeset module and the controller may be used to fully automate one or more processes involving the operation of the components of the NPWT system included in the tubeset module, allowing the NPWT system to, e.g. estimate a wound site volume, estimate a volume of fluid to be instilled, monitor wound healing progression, etc. without requiring any user interaction or involvement. The tubeset module may be defined by one or more housing elements. The tubeset module may be incorporated into any of the tubing, fluid canister, wound dressing and/or therapy device housing components of the NPWT system.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATIC AND NONINVASIVE LIVESTOCK HEALTH ANALYSIS
The disclosure provides systems and methods for automatically and noninvasively analyzing livestock health, wherein to determine at least one of a body composition indicator or a pose indicator based on the data acquired from the camera; store the body composition indicator or pose indicator in a data record associated with the animal of interest; and provide the body composition indicator or pose indicator to a neural network trained to predict an animal outcome for animals of a similar species to the animal of interest.
Method And Apparatus For Determining Volumetric Data Of A Predetermined Anatomical Feature
A method of determining volumetric data of a predetermined anatomical feature is described. The method comprising determining volumetric data of one or more anatomical features present in a field of view of a depth sensing camera apparatus, identifying a predetermined anatomical feature as being present in the field of view of the depth sensing camera apparatus, associating the volumetric data of one of the one or more anatomical features with the identified predetermined anatomical feature, and outputting the volumetric data of the predetermined anatomical feature. An apparatus is also described.
APPARATUS FOR MEASUREMENT OF A LIMB CIRCUMFERENCE, A DEVICE FOR MEASUREMENT OF A LIMB COMPLIANCE COMPRISING THE SAME AND A DEVICE USED IN THE TREATMENT OF LYMPHEDEMA COMPRISING THE SAME
The present invention provides an apparatus for measurement of a limb circumference, comprising a pull string module, a first measurement module and a second measurement module. The pull string module comprises a surrounding component, wherein the surrounding component comprises an encircling part disposed around a limb of an individual; the first measurement module is disposed at the pull string module and moves alone the longitudinal axis of the limb and meanwhile measures the length of the limb; and the second measurement module measures the length of the encircling part simultaneously when the first measurement module move alone the limb, so as to determine the correlation between the limb length and the limb circumference. The present invention further provides a device including two or more apparatuses of the present invention to measure the limb compliance and to be used in the treatment of lymphedema.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROCESSING ELECTRONIC IMAGES TO DETERMINE FLOW USING FLOW RATIO
Embodiments include a system for determining patient cardiovascular information which includes at least one computer system configured to receive patient-specific data regarding a geometry of an anatomical structure of a patient; create a model representing at least a portion of the anatomical structure of the patient based on the patient-specific data; determine a first blood flow rate at at least one point of interest in the model by using relations of individual-specific anatomic data to functional estimates of blood flow characteristics generated from a plurality of individuals; modify the model; determine a second blood flow rate at a point in the modified model corresponding to the at least one point of interest by using the relations of individual-specific anatomic data to functional estimates of blood flow characteristics; and determine a fractional flow reserve value as a ratio of the second blood flow rate to the first blood flow rate.
WOUND THERAPY SYSTEM WITH INTERNAL ALTERNATING ORIFICE
A wound therapy system includes a dressing sealable over a wound and defining a wound space between the dressing and the wound, tubing fluidly communicable with the wound space, and a canister fluidly communicable with the tubing. The canister, the tubing, and the dressing define a sealed space that includes the wound space. The wound therapy system also includes a therapy unit coupled to the canister. The therapy unit includes a sensor configured to measure a pressure in the sealed space, a valve positioned between the sealed space and a surrounding environment and controllable between an open position and a closed position, and a control circuit. The control circuit is configured to control the valve to alternate between the open position and the closed position to allow airflow through the valve, receive measurements from the sensor, and determine a volume of the wound space based on the measurements.

Calibration of an inertial measurement unit for improving the accuracy of a biomechanical skeleton
A calibration fixture provides a repeatably accurate tool for measuring offset angles between measurement axes for inertial measurement units (IMUs) used in motion capture. The measured offset angles may be used to correct angles measured by the IMUs to create a biomechanical skeleton that accurately represents movements of a motion capture subject. The disclosed embodiments are applied segments of a biomechanical skeleton providing a mathematical model of a human arm and hand.
PROSTATE GLOVE, FINGERTIP OPTICAL ENCODER, CONNECTOR SYSTEM, AND RELATED METHODS
Systems and methods are provided herein that generally involve measuring a prostate or other object. In some embodiments, a finger clip having a roller ring or wheel rotatably mounted thereto is disposed within an inflatable membrane. The roller ring can include a measurement pattern positioned opposite to optical fibers configured to receive light reflected from the measurement pattern. A user can put on the finger clip, position the membrane in proximity to a rectal wall overlying a prostate, and inflate the membrane. As the user slides their finger across the inside of the membrane, which is pressed against the rectal wall, the roller ring can rotate with respect to the fibers such that the fibers move relative to the measurement pattern. A controller can sense light reflected through the fibers from the reference pattern and calculate or estimate various attributes of the prostate based on the reflected light.
