SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SLEEP STAGING
The present disclosure describes a sleep staging system. The system comprises: one or more sensors configured to generate output signals conveying information related to breathing parameters of subject during a respiratory therapy session; and one or more physical computer processors configured by computer readable instructions to: determine, based on the output signals, one or more breathing features of individual breaths of the subject; determine a distribution of the one or more breathing features over a plurality of time windows, at least one of the time windows having a length of at least 60 seconds; determine sleep states of the subject by mapping the distribution of the breathing features to one or more sleep states using a sleep stage classifier model, the sleep stage classifier model configured to determine the sleep states; and provide feedback indicating the sleep states during the respiratory sleep session.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING/DETECTING AND RESPONDING TO INFANT BREATHING
This disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for detecting, monitoring, and responding to abnormalities in an infant's heartbeat. One or more sensing devices may collect infant heartbeat related data, which may be filtered and converted to a frequency signal. The frequency signal may be monitored for irregularity or stoppage, and a processing module may determine whether the irregularity or stoppage is caused by an actual stoppage or irregularity in infant heartbeat. If infant heartbeat is determined to have stopped, a corrective action may be performed.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING RESPIRATION RATE
Monitoring apparatus for measuring the respiratory rate of a subject comprises an upper arm unit attached to a subject's upper arm in use and containing at least one movement sensor and a photoplethysmograph configured to monitor blood volume within the subject's upper arm while the upper arm unit is worn on the subject's upper arm. The output from the photoplethysmograph and movement sensor(s) are processed to calculate and output an estimate of the rate of respiration of the subject. Respiratory cycle induced variations in the photoplethysmograph signal and movement sensor signals can be independently determined and there is a greater confidence in the calculated respiratory rate when these independent calculations give consistent readings. If there is insufficient confidence, no rate of respiration is displayed.

SENSOR DEVICE FOR ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE TOMOGRAPHY IMAGING, ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE TOMOGRAPHY IMAGING INSTRUMENT AND ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE TOMOGRAPHY METHOD
A sensor device for EIT imaging comprises an electrode array for measuring an impedance distribution, with at least one sensor for determining spatial orientation of the electrode array coupled to the electrode array. EIT imaging instrument is connectable to a sensor for determining spatial orientation of a test person, and optionally in addition connectable to a sensor for gathering information on electrical and/or acoustic activity and/or a sensor for gathering information on dilation. A computing device is connected or integrated for adjusting impedance data based on spatial data, which spatial data describe the spatial orientation of a test subject. An EIT imaging method for measuring an impedance distribution and adjusting said measured impedance distribution comprises measuring impedance distribution by using an impedance distribution measuring device comprising an electrode array, and transforming the measured impedance distribution into EIT images.
SCANNING AND TRACKING MONITORING APPARATUS AND METHOD
Disclosed is a scanning monitoring apparatus for medical imaging, the scanning monitoring apparatus comprising a controller unit and a display, wherein the controller unit during a scanning session is configured to obtain tracking data of a subject in a medical scanner, obtain scanner data indicative of operating parameters of the medical scanner; determine an output of a verification function based on the tracking data and the scanner data; and control the scanning monitoring apparatus according to the output of the verification function. A notification signal may be provided if the output is indicative of an erroneous scanning.
APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR ENDOBRONCHIAL NAVIGATION TO AND CONFIRMATION OF THE LOCATION OF A TARGET TISSUE AND PERCUTANEOUS INTERCEPTION OF THE TARGET TISSUE
A method of confirming the location of a target tissue within a patient using a navigation system is provided. The navigation system displays images from a pre-acquired image dataset and provides location information of a medical device within a patient in relation to a patient tracking device affixed to the patient. The method includes determining an initial location of the target tissue, navigating a steerable catheter through the airway of the patient to a position proximate the initial location, tracking the location of the steerable catheter in the airway using the navigation system, generating information regarding the presence of the target tissue using a tissue sensing device inserted into the steerable catheter, and determining a confirmed location of the target tissue in relation to the patient tracking device using the generated information regarding the presence of the target tissue and the tracked location of the steerable catheter.
