In some embodiments, the methods disclosed can be implemented using a device worn by a user, and operatively coupled to a sample analysis system configured to collect a sample of bodily fluid, and measure and analyze the bodily fluid to determine a property of the bodily fluid and/or a physiological/wellness parameter (e.g., degree of hydration, electrolyte losses, perspiration rate, etc.) of the user.
METHOD OF USING AN ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE
A method of using an electrochemical device includes at least first and second electrodes; a chamber for receiving a fluid sample and defining a volume partially bounded by a first portion of the first electrode and a second portion of the second electrode, the first portion having a first characteristic for influencing an electrochemical reaction at the first portion, the second portion having a second characteristic for influencing an electrochemical reaction at the second portion, the first and second characteristics having a predetermined relationship. The method also includes receiving a fluid sample in the chamber; measuring first and second electrical outputs at least one of the first and second electrodes; and determining whether the first and second electrical outputs are related according to the predetermined relationship.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING HEALTH DATA USING MEASUREMENTS OF WEARABLE DEVICE
A computer-implemented method or system for generating health data is provided. The method includes receiving a sensor data set measured by one or more sensors of a wearable device over an interval of time, the sensor data set indicating a time series profile of a body parameter of a user of the wearable device over the interval of time. The method also includes determining an activity type of the user matching the time series profile; and calculating a value associated with a health metric, wherein the value is calculated based on the activity type.
Bias of Physical Controllers in a System
An embodiment of the invention provides a method to control a mechanical system based on the cognitive state of a user, where a first action is performed at an input device that is associated with the user. The cognitive state of the user is detected at the input device; and, a change to the first action is determined based on the cognitive state of the user. A controlled action is performed based on the recommended change. A system can include an input device associated with user, where a first action is performed at the input device. A processor connected to the input device detects the cognitive state of the user at the input device and determines a change to the first action based on the cognitive state of the user. A controller connected to the processor performs a controlled action based on the recommended change.
