Determination of stimulation parameters for muscle activation
Computer-implemented systems and methods for determining epidural spinal stimulation parameters that promote muscle activation use spectral analysis and machine learning techniques to characterize electromyography data.
Synchronized placement of surgical implant hardware
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for robotic insertion of a screw, a rod, or another component of a surgical implant into a patient are disclosed. Synchronous insertion of screws is performed by multiple surgical robots or a single surgical robot having multiple arms and end effectors. The movements of each robotic arm are coordinated into position in preparation of the insertion of multiple surgical implant components at the same time or in the same surgical step. The insertion of the surgical implant components is performed while monitoring the insertion progress. The insertion is completed autonomously or in coordination with a surgeon.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HUMAN OPERATOR AND MACHINE INTEGRATION
Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to devices, systems, and methods for optimized integration of a human operator with a machine for safe and efficient operation. Accordingly, aspects of the present disclosure are directed to systems, methods, and devices which evaluate and determine a cognitive state of an operator, and allocate tasks to either the machine and/or operator based on the cognitive state of the operator, among other factors.
NON-INVASIVE STIMULATION SYSTEM FOR SYNCHRONOUS STIMULATION OF STERNOCLEIDOMASTOID MUSCLES AND CUTANEOUS CERVICAL NERVE BRANCHES WITH AUTONOMIC CONNECTIONS
A stimulation device includes a body containing at least one stimulation means adapted to be transcutaneously attached to the neck of a subject. The stimulation means is adapted to generate a stimulating signal during a stimulating state. The stimulation means is positioned to be in stimulating contact with the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the trunks of the lesser occipital nerve, greater auricular nerve, transverse cervical nerve or supraclavicular nerve with their autonomic fibers synchronously. The stimulation can be provided in the form an electrical, optical, vibrational, thermal, mechanical and/or magnetic stimulation. The stimulation device can be used bilaterally on the right and left sides of the subject's neck, working as a system in a synchronous or alternating manner.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR THE NON-INVASIVE RECORDING OF MARINE MAMMAL SLEEP IN THE WILD
A water resistant biometric data logging system for an animal including a housing containing an electrophysiological data logging device and an underwater connector configured to route and waterproof at least 10 electrode cables to the electrophysiological data logging device. Further disclosed is an apparatus (e.g., headcap) for mounting electrodes onto the animal. The apparatus includes a first layer comprising a first plurality of openings or holes, the first layer comprising a foam or a sacrificial material; a second layer comprising a second plurality of openings or holes, the second layer comprising or consisting essentially of synthetic rubber; and a potted piece containing a plurality of electrode cables, wherein the electrode cables are routed from the potted piece through the first plurality of openings and the second plurality of openings or holes.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM FOR MANAGING BIOMETRIC INFORMATION
A method for managing biometric information is provided. The method includes the steps of: determining whether a cardiac disorder event has occurred to a user on the basis of biometric information measured from the user's body and situation information associated with the biometric information; providing alarm information associated with the cardiac disorder event to the user in response to determining that the cardiac disorder event has occurred; and associating a time point of occurrence of the cardiac disorder event with feedback information acquired from the user in response to the provided alarm information.
System and methods for nerve monitoring
A system and related methods for performing nerve detection during surgical access using ultrasound testing during surgery.
System and methods for nerve monitoring
A system and related methods for performing nerve detection during surgical access using ultrasound testing during surgery.
Augmented reality systems and methods for user health analysis
Augmented reality systems and methods for user health analysis. Methods for user health analysis may include collecting data for an initial prediction model and continuing to collect additional data based on one or more data criteria. The methods may further include updating the initial prediction model based on the additional data to produce a revised prediction model or causing an intervention to occur based on the additional data. The data may be collected by a display system including one or more sensors configured to collect user-specific data and a display device configured to present virtual content to a user. The display device may be configured to output light with variable wavefront divergence.
