METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING RESPIRATORY DISTRESS BASED ON AUTONOMIC IMBALANCE
An example of a system for monitoring and treating respiratory distress in a patient may include signal inputs, a signal processing circuit, and a respiratory distress analyzer. The signal inputs may be configured to receive patient condition signals indicative of autonomic balance of the patient. The signal processing circuit may be configured to process the patient condition signals and to generate patient condition parameters indicative of the autonomic balance using the processed patient condition signals. The respiratory distress analyzer may be configured to determine a state of the respiratory distress using the patient condition parameters, and may include a parameter analysis circuit configured to analyze the autonomic balance of the patient and to determine the state of the respiratory distress using an outcome of the analysis.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
An information processing apparatus includes a calculation unit, a designing unit, and a presentation unit. The calculation unit calculates autonomic activity of a participant, using biometric information measured by a measuring device that measures biometric information of the participant belonging to a group place. The designing unit designs a progress plan of communication at the group place in a design aspect corresponding to the calculated activity. The presentation unit presents the designed progress plan.
Device and method for sequential posture identification and autonomic function information acquisition
A wearable device attached to a subject includes an accelerometer that measures acceleration information, and a biological sensor that measures biological signal information of the subject. From the measured acceleration information and biological signal information, first feature data corresponding to a first predetermined period and second feature data corresponding to a second predetermined period are extracted. By machine learning based on the first feature data, a dynamic/static activity identification model, a dynamic-activity identification model, and a static-activity identification model, for the subject, are generated. By combination of results of determination based on each of the identification models, a posture and an activity of the subject are identified and correspondence information, which associates the identified posture and activity with the biological signal information of the subject, is generated.
Remote control module for instruments
A monitoring system may include a processor and display system for displaying results from the monitoring. A user may be in a sterile field away from the processor and display system and selected input devices. A controller may be physically connected to the monitoring system from the sterile field to allow the user to control the monitoring system.
Intravascular energy delivery
A method to apply a nerve inhibiting cloud surrounding a blood vessel includes creating a treatment plan, wherein the treatment plan prescribes application of the nerve inhibiting cloud towards at least a majority portion of a circumference of a blood vessel wall, and applying the nerve inhibiting cloud towards the majority portion of the circumference of the blood vessel wall for a time sufficient to inhibit a function of a nerve that surrounds the blood vessel wall.
Electronic device and method for measuring biometric information
An electronic device for measuring biometric information is provided. The electronic device includes a sensor unit configured to detect an attitude of the electronic device, a biometric information measurement unit configured to detect biometric information on an examinee through a plurality of electrodes formed on at least one surface of the electronic device, a switch unit including a plurality of switches electrically connected to the plurality of electrodes and a controller configured to recognize an array of the plurality of electrodes based on the detected attitude of the electronic device and control the switch unit such that the recognized electrode array corresponds to a preset electrode array.
Evaluation of pain in humans
A method for evaluating pain experienced by a human is disclosed. The method includes applying a first noxious stimulus to a normative site on the human, wherein the first noxious stimulus is applied below a pain threshold of the human and logging a first information associated with the first noxious stimulus. The method further includes applying a second noxious stimulus to a source of the pain in the human, wherein the second noxious stimulus is applied until pain threshold is reached and logging a second information associated with the second noxious stimulus. The method further includes increasing the second noxious stimulus until pain tolerance is reached and logging a third information associated with the second noxious stimulus. The method further includes continuing to apply the second noxious stimulus until the human can no longer tolerate the second noxious stimulus and logging a fourth information associated with the second noxious stimulus.
Body structure imaging
A method of medical image processing for images of body structures, comprising: receiving anatomical data to reconstruct an anatomical image of a region of a body of a patient, said region comprises a portion of at least one internal body part which borders or is spaced apart from a target tissue; receiving functional data from a functional imaging modality which images at least said portion of the region of the body of the patient; processing said anatomical image to generate at least one image mask corresponding to the zone outside of the wall of said at least one internal body part; correlating the at least one generated image mask with the functional data for guiding a reconstruction of a functional image depicting said target tissue; and providing the reconstructed functional image.
NEURO-RESPONSE STIMULUS AND STIMULUS ATTRIBUTE RESONANCE ESTIMATOR
Example methods, systems, and machine readable media are disclosed herein for determining a subject resonance measurement. An example method includes accessing first neuro-response data obtained from a subject prior to exposure to an advertisement or entertainment and second neuro-response data obtained from the subject after exposure to the advertisement or the entertainment, respectively. The example method includes calculating, using a processor, a first event related potential measurement and a second event related potential measurement based on the first neuro-response data and the second neuro-response data. The example method includes calculating, using the processor, a differential event related potential measurement based on the first event related potential measurement and the second event related potential measurement. In addition, the example method includes determining a subject resonance measurement to the advertisement or the entertainment based on the differential event related potential measurement.
Air-conditioning control system
This system correctly obtains a thermal sensation of a person in a room to provide a comfortable environment. A first parameter deriver derives, as a first parameter, a ratio of a low frequency component to a high frequency component in a variation of R-R intervals of a person, based on his/her body movement. A second parameter deriver derives, as a second parameter, any one of a coefficient of variation of R-R intervals, a respiration rate, or a heart rate of the person, based on the body movement of the person. An estimator estimates a thermal sensation of the person, based on the first parameter and the second parameter. A CPU for air-conditioning control controls an air-conditioning capacity of the air conditioner, based on a result of the estimation by the estimator.
