SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF ANALYZING AND INTERFACING WITH COMBINED IMAGING AND SPECTROSCOPY DATA FOR THE BRAIN
In part, the disclosure relates to an analysis system in communication with one or more sources of brain region or brain tissue-specific spectroscopy data; and computer-executable logic, encoded in memory of the analysis system, for interpreting brain region or brain tissue-specific spectroscopy data, where the computer-executable logic is configured for execution of: processing the brain region or brain tissue-specific spectroscopy data to obtain one or more spectroscopic graphical representations of the brain region or brain tissue-specific spectroscopy data; co-registering such representations with regions of interest in imaging data obtained relative thereto, where the imaging data is obtained simultaneously with the spectroscopy data; and displaying a first visual representation of co-registered brain region or brain tissue-specific spectroscopy data and imaging data. The visual representation may include one or more views of brain tissue and a spatially correlated map of changes in brain region or tissue-specific spectroscopy data.
Padded, flexible encasing for body monitoring systems in fabrics
A wearable monitoring device comprising a printed circuit board having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, wherein the printed circuit board is configured to couple to at least one sensor configured to monitor a physiological condition; at least a first padding layer coupled to the printed circuit board proximate the first side; at least a second padding layer coupled to the printed circuit board proximate the second side; a first protective layer coupled to the first padding layer opposite the printed circuit board; a second protective layer coupled to the second padding layer opposite the printed circuit board; at least one additional layer between the first protective layer opposite the printed circuit board; the first protective layer and the second protective layer seal together and enclose the first and second padding and the printed circuit board; and a power source coupled to the printed circuit board.
Multilingual system for early detection of neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders
The present disclosure provides a system for predicting a disease state based on speech occurrences. A feature extraction module extracts a plurality of lingual features from a speech record of the speech occurrence. The lingual features are chosen based on a correlation between the lingual features and the disease state in at least a first language and a second language. The lingual features are consistent for transcripts in at least the first language and the second language. A prediction module including a trained classification model generates a prediction of the disease state for speech occurrences in at least the first language and the second language using the lingual features extracted from the speech records.
Computer-implemented systems and methods for generating tailored medical recipes for mental health disorders
Computer-implemented systems and methods for generating tailored medical recipes for mental health disorders. The systems include a processor, a memory, and a server. The memory is configured to register a user over a communication application through a registration module; receive demographic data through a demography module; receive voice data of the user through a voice module; receive bio-sample data of the user through a bio-sample module; receive face image data of the user through a camera module; receive mental health questionnaire data from the user through a questionnaire module; and transmit a final dataset through a data transmission module. The server is configured to process the final dataset received from the data transmission module by applying a machine learning module; generate the tailored medical recipes; and transmit the tailored medical recipes to one or more computing devices of the user over the network.
TIME DOMAIN-BASED OPTICAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS CONFIGURED TO MEASURE ABSOLUTE PROPERTIES OF TISSUE
A wearable module for use in an optical measurement system includes a light guide configured to receive a light pulse from a light source and guide signal photons included in the light pulse toward a target within a body of a user, and a light diverter configured to divert reference photons included in the light pulse toward at least one detector configured to detect the reference photons.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING HEMISPHERIC EMOTIONAL VALENCE
An apparatus and method for determining the hemispheric emotional valance of a person is disclosed. The apparatus assists in the selection of appropriate treatment modalities for various neurological disorders. A computer outputs a series of preselected stimuli and a screen is adapted to display the preselected stimuli to the person. The stimuli may comprise a focal point presented on the screen for the person to fixate on and a picture. The focal point is positioned on the screen so that the images will be seen in the person's lateral visual field. The focal point and the picture are displayed to the person for a preselected period of time to induce stress or comfort as the mental state associated with one of the cerebral hemispheres by stimulating the contralateral hemisphere. The level of reaction to the stimuli is recorded in the computer or manually.
TECHNOLOGIES FOR AUDIO-VISUAL ENTRAINMENT WITH BREATHING CUES FOR MANAGING HEART RATE VARIABILITY
This discloses enables various technologies for audio-visual entrainment with breathing cues for managing heart rate variability.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ASSESSING COGNITIVE FUNCTION OF AN INDIVIDUAL
A method and system for assessment of cognitive function of an individual. The method includes having an individual execute a standardized cognitive task, followed by a brain perturbation which either excites or suppresses cognitive ability. The individual executes at least one further standardized cognitive task after the brain perturbation. Neuroimaging can be used concurrently while the individual is executing each of the tasks to obtain additional data to supplement the task scores. The post perturbation scores are compared against the pre-perturbation score to provide a standardized metric which can then be compared against individuals of the same gender and approximate age. These results can help predict and diagnose various brain diseases. A fitted helmet with integrated neuroimaging sensors, and with preset cutouts for receiving a TMS coil, facilitates positioning and orientation of the coil proximate the motor cortex and the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex for the above methods.
Systems and methods for detecting blink inhibition as a marker of engagement and perceived stimulus salience
The present systems and methods provide a mechanism to assess viewer behavior, features of stimuli, and the interaction between viewer behavior and stimuli. The systems and methods described herein for quantifying blink response and blink inhibition provide moment-by-moments measurements of viewer engagement by measuring what is or is not engaging enough to warrant viewers' inhibition of blinking. The present disclosure describes measures of visual scanning, eye movements, blink data, and blink timing data to derive a measure of how engaged a person is with what he or she is looking at. Blink-related data as a measure of viewer engagement provides a mechanism for determining the most engaging spatial and temporal aspects of a stimulus.
Medical Imaging
Methods of assessing or obtaining an indication of the presence of a cognitive disorder by analysing microstructural changes in regions of the brain are provided. The invention particularly relates to methods of assessing or obtaining an indication of the presence of types of dementia, for example Alzheimer's disease, by analysing changes in minicolumns in regions or layers of the cortex of the brain or of the whole brain.
