METHODS BASED ON AN ANALYSIS OF DRAWING BEHAVIOR CHANGES FOR COGNITIVE DYSFUNCTION SCREENING
Methods for screening, diagnosing, or predicting presence, progression, or treatment effects of a cognitive dysfunction such as dementia based on an analysis of drawing behavior changes by a pre-trained Naïve Bayes method are provided. The methods include steps of obtaining drawing data of at least one image created by a test subject on a digital device and obtaining personal data of the test subject; reconstructing the at least one image based on the drawing data obtained; converting the drawing data to drawing features comprising a plurality of motion features and a plurality of geometric features; and determining probability that the test subject has a cognitive dysfunction based on the drawing features and the personal data by a pre-trained Naïve Bayes method with a greedy variable selection.
HEAD-MOUNTED SPECTRUM SENSING DEVICE
A head-mounted spectrum sensing device is provided which includes an acoustic system, a magnetic system, an ultrasound system, and a control and processing system. The head-mounted spectrum sensing device can judge a risk of dementia according to a thermal image with blood velocity information, a thermal image with magnetic flux information, and a thermal image with ultrasound information.
Detection Of Disease Conditions And Comorbidities
A new computational approach may provide improved detection of disease conditions and comorbidities, such as PTSD, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, depression, etc. For example, in an embodiment, a computer-implemented method for detecting a disease condition may comprise receiving a plurality of data streams, each data stream representing a measurement of a brain activity comprising physical and chemical phenomena and performing pattern analysis on the plurality of data streams to detect at least one fundamental code unit of a brain code corresponding to a disease condition based on a combination of the plurality of data streams.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR NEURAL STIMULATION VIA VISUAL, AUDITORY AND PERIPHERAL NERVE STIMULATIONS
Systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for treating cognitive dysfunction in a subject in need thereof. The system can include a light source and a speaker. A visual neural stimulation system provides, via the light source, visual stimulation having a first value of a first parameter. An auditory neural stimulation system provides, via the speaker, audio stimulation having a second value of the second parameter. A stimuli orchestration component selects, for a first time interval, one of the visual stimulation or the audio stimulation to vary based on a policy, selects, for the first time interval, the other of the visual stimulation or the audio stimulation to keep constant based on the policy, and provides causes the one of the visual neural stimulation system or the auditory neural stimulation system to vary the one of the visual stimulation or the audio stimulation.
Measuring representational motions in a medical context
A method includes receiving data representing graphomotor motion during a succession of executions of graphomotor diagnostic tasks performed in a medical context by a subject, processing the received data using a computer, including determining a first set of quantitative features from a first execution of a task by the subject, and determining a second set of quantitative features from a second execution of a task by the subject, determining one or more metrics based on a comparison to the successive executions, including using at least the first set of quantitative features and the second set of quantitative features to determine said metrics, and providing a diagnostic report associated with neurocognitive mechanisms underlying the subject's execution of the tasks based on the determined metrics.
Program and system for early detection and prevention of mild dementia
To achieve early detection and prevention of mild dementia by viewing with both left and right eyes in a balanced manner based on the balanced stimulation and activation of the left and right brains to easily mitigate the progression of cognitive function decline and promoting recovery of cerebral vision. The invention consists of: generating a stereoscopic image area A2 for displaying stereoscopic images; displaying a plurality of objects Ob21, Ob22 within a virtual space constructed in the stereoscopic image area A2 with the positions or orientations thereof changing, rotating the plurality of objects Ob21, Ob22 at an arbitrary speed centered on an arbitrary centroid position P2 established within the virtual space, and also changing the color of the objects at an arbitrary timing and duration; and recording as a test result of spatial recognition ability and situational judgment ability the time difference between the timing and duration of the change in color of the objects Ob21, Ob22 and a user operation on user interfaces G22, G23 as well as the accuracy of the user operation.
SYSTEM FOR USE IN IMPROVING COGNITIVE FUNCTION
A system comprising an EEG headcap, personal computer and cloud sewer system is configured to deliver a customised programme of activities to a user, based on an analysis of the EEG output from the user. The system is indicated in the treatment of mild cognitive disorder and early-stage dementia.
PERSONALIZED ASSISTANCE FOR IMPAIRED SUBJECTS
Techniques herein relate to personalized assistance for subjects with impairment(s). In various embodiments, a subject's state may be determined (402) from various signal(s). Based on the subject's state, a first computing device may be selected (404) from one or more computing devices available to the subject. Based on the subject's state and a policy associated with the subject, task(s) may be determined (406) that are performable by the subject with the aid of the first computing device. Task-selection input from the subject may be received (408) via the first computing device to initiate a triggered task. Task-engagement input may be received (412) via the first computing device from the subject that indicate completion of step(s) of the triggered task. The policy may be updated (414), e.g., using reinforcement learning, based on attribute(s) of the task-engagement inputs.
Apparatus, method, and system for testing human olfactory systems
An apparatus, module, methods and systems for automated, standardized assessment and analysis of a human olfactory system's odor detection ability as an indicator or predictor of cognitive impairment or change in cognitive health, and other health conditions such as diabetes. Notably, the present invention is operable for use across all age groups of humans and provides quantitative detection and analysis of a human olfactory system's detection ability compared to a relevant demographic population.
SELECTING SPEECH FEATURES FOR BUILDING MODELS FOR DETECTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS
A mathematical model may be trained to diagnose a medical condition of a person by processing acoustic features and language features of speech of the person. The performance of the mathematical model may be improved by appropriately selecting the features to be used with the mathematical model. Features may be selected by computing a feature selection score for each acoustic feature and each language feature, and then selecting features using the scores, such as by selecting features with the highest scores. In some implementations, stability determinations may be computed for each feature and features may be selected using both the feature selection scores and the stability determinations. A mathematical model may then be trained using the selected features and deployed. In some implementations, prompts may be selected using computed prompt selection scores, and the deployed mathematical model may be used with the selected prompts.
