Notably, the present invention is operable for use across all age groups of humans and provides quantitative detection and analysis of a human olfactory system's detection ability compared to a relevant demographic population.
DIGITAL QUALIMETRIC BIOMARKERS FOR COGNITION AND MOVEMENT DISEASES OR DISORDERS
Disclosed is a method for assessing a cognition and movement disease or disorder in a subject. In the method, a qualimetric activity parameter for cognition and/or fine motoric activity measurements is determined from a dataset of measurements obtained from the subject using a mobile device. The qualimetric activity parameter is compared to a reference and the disease or disorder is thereby assessed. A method identifying whether a subject will benefit from a therapy for a cognition and movement disease or disorder is also disclosed. The method can be carried out with a mobile device having a processor, a sensor and a database as well as software that carries out the method. Also disclosed is a system having a mobile device with a sensor and a remote device having a processor and a database and software that carries out the method for assessing a cognition and movement disease or disorder.
WEARABLE COGNITIVE FUNCTION EVALUATION ASSISTING DEVICE
A wearable cognitive function evaluation assisting device includes a wearable garment, a near infrared (NIR) light source, an image capturing unit, a storage unit, a projection unit, a sound-recording unit, a processing unit, a transceiver, a control unit, and a power supply unit. The image capturing unit can be selectively extracted from the wearable garment for capturing a continuous image of an oxygenated heme (HbO.sub.2) where the NIR light source is irradiated. The projection unit can be selectively extracted from the wearable garment for projecting one of the cognitive environment images stored in the storage unit. The processing unit converts the question and answer recorded by sound-recording unit into a question and answer audio signal. The transceiver receives the continuous image of HbO.sub.2 and the question and answer audio signal and then transmits them out.
MULTI-PURPOSE INTERACTIVE COGNITIVE PLATFORM
An interactive multi-purpose interactive cognitive platform is provided that uses image-based interactivities and may use enriched visual stimuli for diagnoses, treatment, and to evaluate and assess the progress and/or treatment of cognitive diseases and/or conditions with cognitive impacts. The platform may be used for performance enhancement training. The platform may include a graphical user interface. The platform is designed to cooperatively engage multiple cognitive domains using interactivities-embedded assessments. The images and image sets may involve the application of Gestalt principles for assessments and may be personalized address individual user preferences. The multi-purpose interactive cognitive platform may be used to produce diagnostics and/or treatment plans for specific cognitive conditions and diseases with a cognitive component. The multi-purpose interactive cognitive platform may be used for gaming, stress reduction, mindfulness, skills development, training, and/or performance enhancement for those without cognitive problems and/or for those interested in maintaining their cognitive health.
CLASSIFYING A DISEASE OR DISABILITY OF A SUBJECT
Presented are concepts for m classifying a disease or disability of a subject. One such concept comprises obtaining interaction data associated with a subject, the interaction data being representative of the subject's interaction with a movement-based input device. The interaction data is processed with a first machine learning process to determine a set of 5 characteristics for describing the subject. The set of characteristics is then processed with a second machine-learning process to generate a classification result for the subject. An instruction is provided to the subject for directing the subject to interact with the movement-based input device, wherein the instruction defines a challenge comprising a time-varying parameter.
Systems for Monitoring Compliance with a Patch Dosage Regimen and Methods of Using the Same
Aspects of the invention include systems for monitoring compliance of a patient with a patch dosage regimen and, where necessary, providing rapid, economical intervention when non-compliance is detected. In some instances, the systems include: a patch comprising an active agent and a patch tag; a reader configured to detect the patch tag; one or more processing devices; and a compliance determination module comprising a computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by the one or more processing devices, determine compliance information from data received from the reader. The compliance information includes data that may be employed to determine whether the patient is complying with the patch dosage regimen. Also provided methods of using the systems, e.g., to monitor patient compliance, as well as components of the systems, e.g., patches, readers, etc.
Brain disorder evaluation apparatus
A brain disorder evaluation apparatus adjusts a prompt cycle of body movement tasks according to individual differences, and includes: a body movement prompt unit, which prompts body movement tasks to a subject; a body movement detection unit, which detects body movement data of a subject; an operation input unit, which receives the input information; an output unit; a storage unit; and a data processing unit which includes, a body movement task selection part, which selects the body movement tasks, a data obtainment part, an indicative data generation part, which generates an indication cycle by means of information input from the operation input unit and the body movement accuracy obtained by the calculations of a body movement accuracy computation part, and generates indication data according to the above-mentioned indication cycle, the body movement accuracy computation part, and a cognitive impairment degree evaluation part.
Methods and magnetic imaging devices to inventory human brain cortical function
Techniques are described for determining cognitive impairment, an example of which includes accessing a set of epochs of magnetoencephalography (MEG) data of responses of a brain of a test patient to a plurality of auditory stimulus events; processing the set of epochs to identify parameter values one or more of which is based on information from the individual epochs without averaging or otherwise collapsing the epoch data. The parameter values are input into a model that is trained based on the parameters to determine whether the test patient is cognitively impaired.
Integrative prediction of a cognitive evolution of a subject
A system and method automatically predicts an evolution of a cognitive score for a subject by classifying a cognitive data set for the subject into a first or second class by determining the cognitive set of data for each subject of a group, acquiring for each subject a neuropsychological score used for classifying each subject in the first or second class, and training a two-class machine learning classification algorithm on the cognitive data sets of all subjects. For each subject, the cognitive data set is used as input of the algorithm and the obtained classification of the subject as output target of the algorithm. The algorithm classifies each cognitive data set in the first or second class. The evolution of the cognitive score of a subject is predicted by the trained algorithm for automatically classifying a new cognitive dataset for the subject into the first or second class.
Behavior modification bracelet system for wandering prevention
