The device may include a plurality of types of sensors including a spectrometer and one or more of an accelerometer, a heart rate sensor, a blood pressure sensor, a blood sugar sensor, a perspiration sensor, a skin conductivity sensor, or an imaging sensor. The device may process the sensor data, from the plurality of types of sensors, relating to the user to determine a health condition of the user. The device may provide, via a user interface, information identifying the health condition of the user based on processing the sensor data, from the plurality of types of sensors, relating to the user.
DYNAMIC TARGET RATE FOR GUIDED BREATHING
Aspects of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, and systems for dynamically adjusting a breathing entrainment based on whether a user is stressing or relaxing. According to an aspect, a first target breathing period is selected, and a guiding stimulus configured to alter a current breathing period of the user towards the first target breathing period over an interval of time is output. One or more relaxation biometrics are measured and analyzed to determine whether the user is stressing or relaxing. Based on whether the user is relaxing or stressing, at least one of the guided stimulus and the first target breathing period are adjusted, where the first target breathing period is adjusted to a second target breathing period different from the first target breathing period. By making adjustments based on whether a user is relaxing or stressing, the breathing entrainment is more effective and comfortable for users.
Sensors
A sensor is disclosed comprising, in at least one embodiment an electrode, a track and an electrical connector, wherein, the track is comprising an electrically conductive flexible and elastic material that comprises an electrically conductive material that is non-contiguous that when stretched is able to transmit an electrical signal from an electrode to an electrical connector and from an electrical connector to an electrode.
Media content selection based on physiological attributes
A media-playback device includes: a media-output device that plays media content items; a physiological measurement device programmed to measure at least one physiological measurement of a user of the media-output device; and a physiological control engine configured to: identify a current physiological measurement for the user; and cause the media-output device to modify playback of the media content items based upon the current physiological measurement.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MEASURING PERSPIRATION
A perspiration sensing system includes a sensor patch and a smart device. The sensor patch includes one or more perspiration sensing portions. The one or more perspiration sensing portions include an inlet having a predefined size to receive perspiration from a predefined number of sweat glands and an outlet for reducing back pressure. At least one perspiration sensing portion includes a channel having a colorimetric sensing material that changes color when exposed to perspiration. At least one perspiration sensing portion includes a colorimetric assay in a substrate that changes color when exposed to biochemical components of perspiration. The system further includes a smart device having a camera that can take a picture of the sensor patch and determine the volume, rate of perspiration, and/or biochemical components of the perspiration from the one or more perspiration sensing portions.
Devices with reduced microfluidic volume between sensors and sweat glands
A sweat sampling and sensing device for sensing sweat on skin includes an analyte-specific sensor for sensing a first analyte in sweat; a sweat collector placed on or adjacent to skin with a plurality of pores or pathways for entry of sweat from skin into said sweat collector, said sweat collector at least partly defining a sweat volume between said analyte-specific sensor and the skin; and a pressure element capable of holding said sweat collector against the skin with a pressure and reducing the sweat volume between said sweat collector and the skin.
BIOLOGICAL SIGNAL MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
A biological signal measurement system includes: a biological signal measurer that measures a biological signal including external noise of biological noise and of environmental noise; biological noise measurer that measures a signal including the biological noise; a biological noise estimator that estimates the biological noise from the signal measured by the biological noise measurer; an environmental noise measurer that measures a signal including the environmental noise; an environmental noise estimator that estimates the environmental noise from the signal measured by the environmental noise measurer; and a calculator that calculates the biological signal in consideration of an effect of the external noise using the signal measured by the biological signal measurer, the biological noise estimated by the biological noise estimator and the environmental noise estimated by the environmental noise estimator.
Methods and devices for treating conditions associated with autonomic dysfunction
Methods and devices treating an autonomic nervous system associated disease condition in a subject are provided. Aspects of the invention include inducing one or more physiological response selected from the group consisting of sweating, gastric emptying, enhanced heart rate variability and enhanced quantitative sensory test responsiveness in a manner sufficient to modify the autonomic nervous system so as to treat the subject for the disease condition. The methods and devices find use in a variety of applications, e.g. in the treatment of subjects suffering from conditions arising from disorders of the autonomic nervous system.
Real-time route determination based on localized information
A real-time route determination system includes one or more communication devices in signal communication with a route server system. Each communication device is configured to receive one or both of vehicle data and user data to determine a stress-level based on one or both of the vehicle data and the user data. The route server system is configured to determine at least one navigation route in real-time based in part on the stress-level, and to output a route signal indicative of the at least one navigation route. The communication device displays a graphical map including a graphical route displaying the at least one navigation route.
