Bodily Fluid Indicator Devices and Methods
20180333143 · 2018-11-22 ·

Bodily fluid indicator devices and methods are provided. Such devices and methods can effectively indicate whether the amount of bodily fluid being produced is within a measurable range. In an exemplary embodiment, a bodily fluid indicator device includes a substrate having a surface. Some portions of the surface are covered with a region of absorbent material and other portions of the surface are devoid of the absorbent material. A graduated scale or a reactive feature is printed on the absorbent material. The device is configured to indicate an amount and/or a composition a bodily fluid present on an area of a patient or subject.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING FLOW RATES OF EXCRETED OR SECRETED BODY FLUIDS
20180303403 · 2018-10-25 · ·

The invention relates to an apparatus and method to determine and monitor the flow rates and volume of fluids excreted or secreted by the body. The apparatus includes: a measuring unit comprising a conduit made of a material having a low thermal conductivity and supporting at least two thermistors that includes an upstream thermistor serving as a compensation thermistor and a downstream thermistor located as far downstream as possible from the upstream thermistor and pre-heated to and kept at pre-defined temperature which is warmer than the fluid temperature to be metered. The apparatus further includes a power supply for applying small electric voltages to the thermistors to enable generation of an electric signal; and a control and display unit being operatively connected to the measuring unit.

A device and system for monitoring breast milk volume comprising a sensing module attached to a bra. The sensing module can include a processing unit configured to receive, store, and process readings measured by the sensing components of the module. The processing unit can be connected to a wireless transmitter that can be configured to transmit recorded and stored readings from the sensing module to a mobile device. The mobile device can display the transmitted data and further process the data to enable visualization of trends in the collected data.

NON-INTRUSIVE BREAST MILK MONITORING

Certain embodiments are directed to methods, apparatuses, and systems for providing accurate, non-intrusive measurement of breastfeeding. The embodiments described herein are used during the normal breastfeeding routine and measure the volume of breast milk transferred in real time. The device is lightweight, disposable, and does not interfere with the milking mechanisms used by infants. The device provides a more accurate monitoring of infant nutrition and peace of mind for mothers.

Technologies for monitoring breastfeeding

Technologies for monitoring breastfeeding include a smart breast support garment computing system of a breast support garment. The smart breast support garment computing system includes a use sensor and a latch sensor. Further, the smart breast support garment computing system is to determine whether the breast support garment is in use based on the sensor data generated by the use sensor and a state of a breast latch of the breast support garment based on sensor data generated by the latch sensor. The smart breast support garment computing system further records one or more breastfeeding events in response to a determination that the breast support garment is in use and the breast latch is open.

Methods and device for determining efficiency of lactation

The invention generally concerns methods and devices for determining inadequate lactation in female subject.

Nursing Garment
