Apparatus, Systems and Methods for Intraoperative Imaging
The disclosed apparatus, systems and methods relate to devices, systems and methods for intraoperative imaging.
DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF TISSUE
A method of evaluating an image indicating a potential presence of a cancer lesion at a location within a prostate of a patient by transmitting light from an optical probe toward a location, receiving fluorescence spectra by the optical probe from the location, and generating a visual display of a diagnosis classification so as to confirm or contradict the existence of the cancer lesion at the location.
Synthesis and composition of non-amino acid linking groups conjugated to compounds used for the targeted imaging of tumors
The present disclosure relates to compounds that are useful as near-infrared fluorescence probes, wherein the compounds include i) a pteroyl ligand that binds to a target receptor protein, ii) a dye molecule, and iii) a linker molecule that comprises an amino acid or derivative thereof. The disclosure further describes methods and compositions for incorporating the compounds as used for the targeted imaging of tumors. Conjugation of the amino acid linking groups increase specificity and detection of the compound. Methods and compositions for use thereof in diagnostic imaging are contemplated.
RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY REPORTERS AND METHODS FOR MOLECULAR IMAGING OF TISSUE IN VIVO
The present invention provides a targeted nanoplex platform for in vivo imaging and theranostic imaging of cancer to simultaneously provide non-invasive assessment of tumor burden and cancer-selective treatments.
PROBABILITY MAP-BASED ULTRASOUND SCANNING
A system may include a probe configured to transmit ultrasound signals to a target of interest, and receive echo information associated with the transmitted ultrasound signals. The system may also include at least one processing device configured to process the received echo information using a machine learning algorithm to generate probability information associated with the target of interest. The at least one processing device may further classify the probability information and output image information corresponding to the target of interest based on the classified probability information.
Toilet with flush jet fill tube flow meter
The present invention is directed to a toilet that includes a liquid level sensor on the surface of a flush jet fill tube. The liquid level sensor is a noncontact electrical impedance sensor that is an electrical capacitor. The capacitor may be used alone or with other volume sensors to detect volume of materials added to a toilet bowl. Some embodiments include a processor which records data and provides reports that may be clinically useful to assess the user's health status. The temporal nature of the liquid level sensor measurements is particularly useful because urination or defecation may be measured over time. Not only are total volumes detected but rates at which waste is deposited into the toilet during the entire excretion event are detected. These measurements are particularly useful in assessing certain health conditions.
PREDICTING BIOCHEMICAL RECURRENCE IN PRE-TREATMENT PROSTATE MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI) WITH FIELD EFFECT INDUCED ORGAN DISTENSION (FORGE)
Embodiments predict prostate cancer (PCa) biochemical recurrence (BCR) employing an image acquisition circuit that accesses a pre-treatment image of a region of tissue demonstrating PCa; a segmentation circuit that segments a prostate capsule represented in the image; a registration circuit that registers the segmented prostate with a BCR median template, and generates a registered surface of interest (SOI) mask by registering an SOI mask with the registered prostate; a mask circuit that generates a patient-specific SOI mask from the registered prostate and the registered SOI mask, and generates a patient-specific SOI mesh from the patient-specific SOI mask; a field effect induced organ distension (FOrge) circuit extracts a set of FOrge features from the patient-specific SOI mesh, and computes a probability that the region of tissue will experience BCR; and a classification circuit classifies the region of tissue as likely to experience BCR based on the probability.
PREDICTING PROSTATE CANCER RECURRENCE IN PRE-TREATMENT PROSTATE MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI) WITH COMBINED TUMOR INDUCED ORGAN DISTENSION AND TUMOR RADIOMICS
Embodiments predict prostate cancer (PCa) biochemical recurrence (BCR) employing an image acquisition circuit that accesses a first pre-treatment image and a second pre-treatment image of a region of tissue demonstrating PCa, a distension feature circuit that extracts a set of distension features from the first pre-treatment image, and computes a first probability of PCa BCR based on the set of distension features, a radiomics circuit that extracts a set of radiomics features from the second pre-treatment image, and computes a second probability of PCa recurrence based on the set of radiomics feature, a combined tumor induced organ distension with tumor radiomics (COnTRa) circuit that computes a joint probability that the region of tissue will experience PCa BCR based on the first probability and the second probability, and a display circuit that displays the joint probability.
System and method for evaluating tissue
A sensor system for measuring an elastic modulus and a shear modulus and a method for evaluating a tissue. The invention pertains to a method for determining the presence of and/or characterizing abnormal growths, using a piezoelectric finger sensor (PEFS) system. The PEFS system may be particularly useful for screening for tumors and various forms of cancer. Additionally, the PEFS system may be useful for various dermatological applications.
