Real-time, noninvasive health and environmental monitors include a plurality of compact sensors integrated within small, low-profile devices, such as earpiece modules. Physiological and environmental data is collected and wirelessly transmitted into a wireless network, where the data is stored and/or processed.

Systems and methods for providing an automated titration for oral appliance therapy

Systems and methods for setting one or more parameters for a multi-test-period titration for oral appliance therapy are described herein. A method can include performing a titration for oral appliance therapy during a first test period, identifying a variable associated with the titration performed during the first test period, and setting a parameter for a titration for oral appliance therapy to be performed during a second test period. The parameter can be dependent on the variable associated with the titration performed during the first test period. The method can also include performing the titration for oral appliance therapy during the second test period, and establishing an outcome of oral appliance therapy based on the titrations performed during the first and second test periods.

Methods and apparatuses for monitoring either or both the performance of an orthodontic appliance for repositioning a patient's teeth and/or the user compliance in wearing the appliance using a biosensor. The apparatuses described herein may include one or more sensors, including biosensors, electrical sensors, or both, configured to generate sensor data related to user compliance and/or repositioning of the patient's teeth by an orthodontic appliance.

DEVICE FOR ANALYZING OCCLUSION PRESSURE, PROGRAM FOR ANALYZING OCCLUSION PRESSURE, AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING OCCLUSION PRESSURE
20200205953 · 2020-07-02 · ·

An object is to provide a device for analyzing occlusion pressure with which it is possible to measure occlusion pressure with a high positional accuracy by using data obtained by versatile methods, including an operation device, wherein the operation device calculates a formula of a first dental arch based on an occlusion pressure data, calculates a formula of a second dental arch based on an occlusal contact positional data, calculates a transformation matrix that approximates the formula of the first dental arch to the formula of the second dental arch, carries out an operation to transform positional information included in the occlusion pressure data to a new positional information with the transformation matrix, and outputs an occlusion pressure data including the new positional information.

Augmented reality enhancements for intraoral scanning

A system comprises a scanner, an augmented reality (AR) display and a computing device. The scanner generates intraoral images of a dental arch and the AR display generates additional image data representative of a view from a wearer of the AR display. The computing device receives the intraoral images from the intraoral scanner, generates a virtual three-dimensional model of at least a portion of the dental arch from the intraoral images, receives the additional image data from the AR display, determines, from the additional image data, a region of the view that is outside of the dental arch, generates a visual overlay comprising the virtual three-dimensional model, and sends the visual overlay to the AR display. The AR display displays the visual overlay such that the virtual three-dimensional model is shown in the region of the view that is outside of the dental arch.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING MANDIBULAR ADVANCEMENT AND SLEEP POSITIONAL THERAPY
20200197655 · 2020-06-25 ·

The present disclosure pertains to a system and method for providing mandibular advancement and sleep positional therapy to a user for a sleep session. The system is formed by a mandibular advancement device for treating obstructive sleep disordered breathing (e.g., obstructive sleep apnea and snoring) that includes an electronics module configured to aid in sleep positional training. The present system and method facilitate advancing a lower jaw of the user into a protruding position relative to an upper jaw of the user to increase a size of an airway of the user, determining whether a posture of the user has breached a posture threshold, and, responsive to a breach, prompting the user to change posture such that the posture of the user no longer breaches the posture threshold.

System and Method for Oral Health Monitoring Using Electrical Impedance Tomography
20200187850 · 2020-06-18 · ·

A system, instrumentality, and method for performing an oral care evaluation of a user via electrical impedance tomography (EIT). For example, a system may include an oral care device having a first member housing a first electrode. The first electrode may be configured to transmit a first signal through a gingiva of a user to cause an altered first signal. The oral care device may have a second member housing a second electrode. The second electrode may be configured to receive the altered first signal. The system may be configured to generate an electrical impedance tomography (EIT) profile of the gingiva of the user, for example, based on data indicative of the first signal and the altered first signal. An oral health characteristic of the user may be determined based on the EIT profile of the gingiva of the user.

DENTAL IMAGER AND METHOD FOR RECORDING PHOTOGRAPHIC IMPRESSIONS
