CAPACITIVE COUPLED RETURN PATH PAD WITH SEPARABLE ARRAY ELEMENTS
A return pad of an electrosurgical system is disclosed. The return pad includes a plurality of conductive members and a plurality of sensing devices. The conductive members are configured to receive radio frequency current applied to a patient. The sensing devices are configured to detect at least one of the following: a nerve control signal applied to the patient; and a movement of an anatomical feature of the patient resulting from application of the nerve control signal.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TARGETED THERAPEUTIC NASAL NEUROMODULATION
The invention provides systems and methods providing precision targeting of neural structures for the treatment of a condition while avoiding collateral damage to surrounding structures, such as blood vessels and/or other nerve tissue. The invention further provides systems and methods for treating at least one of rhinitis, congestion, and/or rhinorrhea via thrombus formation. The invention further provides systems and methods for detection, identification, and precision targeting of neural tissue for the treatment of a neurological condition while minimizing or avoiding collateral damage to surrounding or adjacent non-neural tissue, such as blood vessels and bone, as well as non-targeted neural tissue.
IMAGING DURING A MEDICAL PROCEDURE
A system may be configured to facilitate a medical procedure. Some embodiments may: acquire a scan corresponding to a region of interest (ROI); capture an image of a patient in real-time; identify, via a trained machine learning (ML) model using the acquired scan and the captured image, a Kambin's triangle; and overlay, on the captured image, a representation of the identified Kambin's triangle.
TRANSCUTANEOUS TREATMENT SYSTEMS, COOLING DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR COOLING NERVES
Treatment systems, methods, and apparatuses for improving the appearance of skin and other treatments are described. Aspects of the technology are directed to improving the appearance of skin by transcutaneously cooling and affecting nerve tissue so as to inhibit facial muscular contractions and thereby reduce dynamic wrinkling. A non-invasive nerve cooling device can be applied to the subject's head to attenuate nervous system signals to facial muscles.
Selection of hypertensive patients for treatment with renal denervation
Methods, systems, devices, assemblies and apparatuses for treatment of hypertension in a patient using renal denervation. The therapeutic assembly includes an energy delivery element. The energy delivery element is configured to provide renal denervation energy to a nerve within a blood vessel of a patient. The therapeutic assembly includes a controller. The controller is coupled to the energy delivery element. The controller is configured to determine that the hypertension in the patient is orthostatic. The controller is configured to apply renal denervation energy to the patient using the energy delivery element.
Surgical probe incorporating a dilator
A surgical probe and a method for forming and enlarging an access opening through a psoas muscle to provide for minimally invasive lateral approach for surgical access to a lumber intervertebral disc. A distal end portion of the probe is equipped with an electrode useful for confirming proper location of the probe and includes an inflatable dilator body for enlarging an access opening through tissue adjacent to a spinal column. The probe includes a cannula through which a K wire can be extended to anchor the probe to a patient.
Probe response signals
A method and apparatus are disclosed for simultaneously providing a plurality of probe response signals indicative of electrical activity at a respective plurality of locations in a patient. The apparatus comprises a rigid needle shaft element comprising a piercing tip and a substrate supporting a plurality of electrode tracks, secured to the needle shaft element and extending along the shaft element away from the piercing tip. Each electrode track extends from a sensing end region arranged for providing a respective probe response signal responsive to localised electrical activity, along the region of the substrate, to a respective bond pad connection region. Recording surface regions of the plurality of electrode tracks are spaced apart in a plurality of substantially linear spaced apart configurations along the substrate.
Methods and systems for operating an intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring system in conjunction with electrocautery procedures
Methods and systems for conditioning a signal indicative of electrosurgical unit activity are described. A hardware circuit acquires AC current from an electrosurgical unit on patient isolated circuitry and conditions the signal in either of two alternate processing methods. The processed signal is routed as input to an analog to digital converter circuit. A method for determining saturation on referential inputs and recovering inputs to an unsaturated state is also described.
Noise aware edge enhancement in a pulsed fluorescence imaging system
Fluorescence imaging with reduced fixed pattern noise is disclosed. A method includes actuating an emitter to emit a plurality of pulses of electromagnetic radiation and sensing reflected electromagnetic radiation resulting from the plurality of pulses of electromagnetic radiation with a pixel array of an image sensor to generate a plurality of exposure frames. The method includes applying edge enhancement to edges within an exposure frame of the plurality of exposure frames. The method is such that at least a portion of the plurality of pulses of electromagnetic radiation emitted by the emitter comprises one or more of electromagnetic radiation having a wavelength from about 795 nm to about 815 nm.
BODY-INSERTION DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a body-insertion device for a body, which comprises a first moving unit for moving an image acquisition unit; an insertion unit; and a second moving unit for moving the insertion unit. The first moving unit comprises at least one of a 1-1 module for moving the image acquisition unit in a 1-1 direction, a 1-2 module for moving the image acquisition unit in a 1-2 direction, and a 1-3 module for moving the image acquisition unit in a 1-3 direction. The second moving unit comprises at least one of a 2-1 module for moving the insertion unit in a 2-1 direction, a 2-2 module for moving the insertion unit in a 2-2 direction, and a 2-3 module for moving the insertion unit in a 2-3 direction.
