Apparatus and method for improved assisted ventilation
Devices and methods for allowing for improved assisted ventilation of a patient. The methods and devices provide a number of benefits over conventional approaches for assisted ventilation. For example, the methods and devices described herein permit blind insertion of a device that can allow ventilation regardless of whether the device is positioned within a trachea or an esophagus. In addition, the methods and device allow for timed delivery of ventilations based on a condition of a thoracic cavity to increase the amount and efficiency of blood flow during a resuscitation procedure.

The system for measuring bio information may include an external device configured to transmit wireless power from an outside of a body to an inside of the body, an implant device inserted into the body and configured to drive a sensing circuit by using the wireless power transmitted by the external device, measure bio data within the body by using the driven sensing circuit, calculate bio information based on the measured bio data, and transmit the calculated bio information to a smart device or the external device outside the body, and the smart device configured to transmit the bio information to a cloud server or display the bio information or output a warning alarm based on the bio information, when receiving the bio information from the implant device.
Nerve activity monitoring
There is provided a nerve activity monitoring method that includes receiving an input signal indicative of activity in a nerve of a subject; receiving physiological data indicative of physiological activity in the subject; establishing a relationship between the physiological data and the input signal; identifying a plurality of periodic portions in the input signal based on the relationship between the physiological data and the input signal; and outputting the periodic portions identified.
Optical surgical system having light sensor on its jaw and method for determining vessel size with angular distortion compensation
A system and method for compensation of angular distortions in a system utilizing light emitters and light sensors disposed on non-parallel jaws may include determining a first point at a first side of a region of interest and a second point at a second side of the region of interest, determining a linear curve including the first and second points, and utilizing the linear curve to remove the angular distortion from the region of interest between the first and second points, A system and method for compensation of angular distortions may alternatively include modeling a non-pulsatile illumination pattern according to the intensities of individual emitters, comparing the pattern according to the model against a non-pulsatile illumination pattern detected using the light sensors, and varying the intensities of the individual emitters based on the comparison until angular distortion has been removed.
Intra-uterine monitoring system
An intra-uterine monitoring system is described. The system comprises an implantable sensor device, shaped and dimensioned for implantation in a uterus for measuring conditions within the uterus to generate sensor data, and a wearable receiver device, for wirelessly receiving the sensor data generated by the implantable sensor device. In this way, real-time, in-vivo monitoring of the intra-uterine environment can be performed. The implantable sensor device can be kept small and simple, requiring only the mechanical and electronic structures necessary to take sensor measurements and transmit those to the receiver device. By making the receiver device wearable, it can be kept in relatively close proximity to the implantable sensor device on a long-term basis, making regular monitoring viable.
Magnetic measurement device for measuring temperature or other property
The invention relates to a measurement device 1 comprising a rotatable magnetic object 4 which can oscillate with a resonant frequency if excited by an external magnetic torque. The measurement device 1 is adapted such that the resonant frequency depends on the temperature or on another physical or chemical quantity like pressure, in order to allow for a wireless temperature measurement or measurement of the other physical or chemical quantity via an external magnetic field providing the external magnetic torque. This measurement device can be relatively small, can be read-out over a relatively larger distance and allows for a very accurate measurement.
