Play Therapy Interaction and Visualization Apparatus
20240188893 · 2024-06-13 ·

A microcontroller coupled to sensors integrated into a physical toy for monitoring free play activity of a human subject wherein patterns in play activity sensed by the microcontroller are graphically visualized for identification of behavioral milestones, developmental progress and/or behavioral disorders. Specifically, accelerometers detect movement of toys which determine: (1) if the toy is being played with; and (2) the intensity in which the toy is moved. Pressure sensors detect the level and location in which a child may hold a toy. Synchronized with an audiovisual record of the play therapy session and a computer-generated avatar representation of the physical object, this data is integrated to find peak levels of behavior giving clinicians more efficient analytical tools.

Method and system for detecting virtual reality sickness causing content in virtual reality motion simulators
10275918 · 2019-04-30 · ·

The present disclosure relates to methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and devices, for detecting virtual reality sickness causing content in virtual reality motion simulators. A visual perception measurement of a virtual reality content being displayed on a head-mounted virtual reality device of a virtual reality motion simulator is determined. A vestibular perception measurement of the virtual reality content is then determined. The visual perception measurement and the vestibular perception measurement of the virtual reality content are compared. An indication of a user experience in the virtual reality motion simulator is determined based on the comparison and the indication of the user experience is output.

HEARTRATE MONITOR FOR AR WEARABLES
20190101984 · 2019-04-04 ·

A heartrate monitor distributed adjusted reality system for producing rendered environments includes an eyewear device and a neckband formed from a first arm, second arm, and computation compartment. Optical, electrical and visual sensors are distributed across the neckband and eyewear device at points of contact with a user's tissue. Machine learning modules combine optical, electrical and visual measurements produced by the optical, electrical and visual sensors to determine a user's heartrate and/or other vitals. The neckband and eyewear device may be capable of adapting an adjusted reality environment in response to a determine user heartrate or other vitals.
