A surgical guide system comprises a guide body having a receiver and a reference plate joined by a connecting arm, a portion of the receiver and a portion of the reference plate intersecting a guide axis, the guide body operable for at least one bone to be interposed between the receiver and reference plate. The guide body further comprising a shuttle cable configured on the reference plate for engagement with a surgical tool A method includes positioning the surgical guide system on at least one bone, the bone the having a first side and a second side, guiding a surgical tool through a hole in the at least one bony structure, engaging a portion of the shuttle cable, and retrieving a first end of the shuttle cable through the hole.

Distal radius stabilization system

Devices, systems, and methods for bone stabilization, especially ulna head stabilization. The stabilization system may include a bone plate having an elongated portion extending along a longitudinal axis between a proximal end and a distal end. The bone plate defines a plurality of through holes extending through the elongated portion. A plurality of fasteners are configured to extend through one or more of the plurality of through holes in the bone plate and configured to secure the bone plate to the bone. The proximal end of the elongate portion has an arcuate configuration.

An intramedullary nail implant for positioning in a bone having a head and a shaft defining an intramedullary canal. The implant includes a distal portion having a shaft extending along a central axis and configured for positioning within the intramedullary canal. A proximal portion extends proximally from the distal portion. The proximal portion defines a contact surface which extends at least in part medially of the central axis such that it is configured to extend within a medial portion of the bone head. A method of implanting the nail is also provided.

5TH METATARSAL COMPRESSION FIXATION SYSTEM

Systems and devices for compressing a 5.sup.th metatarsal fracture of the foot are provided. A bone fixation device is provided that includes an opening for receiving a bone screw. The device also includes at least one hook sized and configured to be placed at the base of the 5.sup.th metatarsal bone of the foot. Drill guides and bone tap guides are also provided that include at least one hook sized and configured to placed at the base of the 5.sup.th metatarsal bone of the foot.

PROCESS, KIT, AND IMPLANT FOR CORRECTION OF A BONE INJURY

There is a process for correcting a bone injury, an implant for correcting the bone injury and a kit for applying the implant for correcting the bone injury. The process can be made substantially uniform with the application of a standardized kit. In at least one application the process is for correcting a bunion on a patient. The process can include applying a first drill guide to a bone, and then a second drill guide. Once the drill guides have been applied and wires have been inserted into a bone, an implant can then be applied to correct a bone injury and to allow the bone injury to heal.

FASTENER GUIDE
20230255649 · 2023-08-17 ·

A disclosed fastener guide includes first and second longitudinal body portions that include, respectively, first and second distal segments. These body portions are connected together to form a fastener through-bore therebetween into which a fastener can be received for guiding the fastener into a hole in a bone plate. This connection can be flexible to allow the fastener guide to move between open and closed positions. In the closed position, a spacing of the first and second distal segments relative to one another is such that a combination of the two can be received in the hole in the bone plate for attaching the fastener guide to the plate; however, in the open position, this combination can no longer be received in the hole due to the segments being spaced relatively further apart from one another in comparison to the spacing in the closed position of the fastener guide.

Periprosthetic shoulder fracture repair

A periprosthetic fracture repair solution that provides a variety of fracture fixation options should a fracture occur after total hip, knee, or especially a total shoulder arthroplasty, and provides associated methods and apparatus for application of provided fixation. The ability to pre-engineer fracture fixation contingent solutions into humeral components provides for a distinct clinical advantage in the planning and execution for periprosthetic fracture fixation. Said methods and apparatus include targeting devices which allow for intimate association of fixed angle locking screws in pre-drilled holes in an existing prosthetic or other components including additional fixation components. Such apparatus and methods further include the use of alignment devices and other components to allow for ease of repair of periprosthetic fractures utilizing the pre-engineered solutions. Such targeting devices are required in specific circumstances as the prosthetics may prevent x-ray imaging and consequently free hand alignment.

Bone plates with dynamic elements

Bone fixation systems include various combinations of stabilizing members, dynamic elements, fasteners, and locking mechanisms. Bone plates receive dynamic bone staples and bone screws. Other dynamic elements include elbow pegs, straight pegs, and wire pegs.

IMPLANT POSITIONING DEVICES AND METHODS

A device for positioning an orthopaedic fixation device includes: a compression attachment mechanism; a fastener guide coupled to the compression attachment mechanism; and a spring member disposed in the fastener guide.
