The ablation apparatus also includes a stylet that is capable of being inserted into the stylet lumen where the stylet is made of a shape-memory material.
Method for detecting presence of tubing in pump assembly
Methods for detecting tubing in a pump assembly of a pump system are provided. For example, a method comprises connecting a power supply to each of a plurality of pump motors of the pump system. Each pump motor of the plurality of pump motors has a power supply cable configured to connect to the power supply and drives a pump head of a plurality of pump heads of the pump system. The method also comprises sensing a motor current from each of the power supply cables, determining whether tubing is loaded in each pump head, and, if tubing is not loaded in a pump head, then disconnecting from the power supply the power supply cable of the pump motor associated with the pump head in which tubing is not loaded. Systems for detecting the presence of tubing within a pump head of a plurality of pump heads also are provided.
Systems and methods for applying energy to ovarian tissue
Described herein are methods and systems for performing a procedure for ovarian rebalancing. The methods and systems may be used in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The systems and methods may also be useful in the treatment of infertility associated with PCOS.
DATA ADJUSTMENT METHOD IN RADIO FREQUENCY OPERATION, AND RADIO FREQUENCY HOST
Disclosed are a data adjustment method in a radio frequency operation and a radio frequency host. The data adjustment method includes acquiring set power data corresponding to the radio frequency operation, setting an output power of a radio frequency signal according to the set power data, and outputting the radio frequency signal to an object of the radio frequency operation; detecting physical characteristic data of the object in real time, and determining whether the physical characteristic data exceeds a preset range; adjusting the radio frequency output power when the physical characteristic data exceeds the preset range; and adjusting the preset range according to the physical characteristic data detected in real time in a preset period of time before a present moment when the physical characteristic data does not exceed the preset range. As a result, the safety and success rate of the radio frequency operation is improved.
ABLATION OPERATION PROMPTING METHOD, ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND COMPUTER READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
Disclosed are an ablation operation prompting method, an electronic device, and a computer-readable storage medium. The method includes: acquiring an image of an ablation site and displaying the image on a screen when an ablation task is triggered; acquiring position data of a currently-being-ablated target ablation point, marking the target ablation point in the image according to the position data; acquiring the elapsed ablation time and the temperature of the target ablation point in real time, and determining the ablation status of the target ablation point according to the elapsed ablation time and the temperature; and generating a schematic real-time dynamic change diagram of the target ablation point according to the ablation status, and displaying the schematic diagram on the screen, to indicate the real-time ablation status change of the target ablation point.
Focused ultrasound cardiac stimulation system, portable device and cardiac stimulation, and associated methods
An ultrasound cardiac stimulation system includes: a system for measuring the heart electrical activity; a system for generating a beam of focussed ultrasound signals focussed on a targeted zone, the signals being calibrated to generate electrical stimulation in a zone of the heart, the beam generation being synchronised with a first selected time of the electrocardiogram, the generation of the beam corresponding to a pulse with a duration of less than 80 ms; a system for locating the targeted zone coupled with a system for positioning the system for generating the focussed beam to control the beam of focussed ultrasound signals in the targeted zone, the location system being synchronised with the system for generating the beam of focussed signals; a single monitoring system following in real time a temperature and tissue deformation in the targeted zone, the monitoring system taking measurements in synchronisation with the rhythm of the electrocardiogram.
ELECTROSURGICAL INSTRUMENT
A temperature sensing system for an electrosurgical instrument able to detect temperatures internal and/or external to the electrosurgical instrument. Temperatures detected by a temperature sensor are processed by a monitoring module which prompts action to reduce temperatures where appropriate. The temperature sensing system is particularly useful for electrosurgical instruments which combine rotary shaver arrangements and RF electrode arrangements, where suction is used to remove RF heated saline from the surgical site. Without monitoring the temperature of the electrosurgical instrument and/or the surgical site, there is a risk of burning the patient if the RF heated saline becomes too hot as the electrosurgical instrument may not be adequately insulated.
Radio frequency ablation systems
The present invention relates to systems for use for radio frequency ablation. The systems can include one or more of an ablation tool, power source for use with the ablation tool and a backstop for use in conjunction with the ablation tool during surgical procedures. Preferred ablation tools comprise a series of three or more blade-shaped electrodes disposed in a linear, curved, curvilinear or circular array. The backstops are useful for reducing direct physical and thermal heat transfer injuries to the patient or surgeon during procedures using radiofrequency (RF) ablation devices.
HEMOSTASIS METHODS AND APPARATUSES
A probe is configured with a flushing port and an evacuation port to establish a flow path to remove blood from a resected tissue. The probe comprises a balloon configured to expand and contact the resected tissue to compress filaments and improve access to the underlying blood vessels for coagulation with an energy source. An endoscope can be used to view the tissue, and the balloon may comprise a transparent material or a viewing port to allow imaging of the bleeding tissue through the balloon. The probe may have a light source to illuminate the tissue with a beam oriented at an oblique angle to the tissue surface, which can decrease interference from blood and may allow more localized coagulation of the blood vessel.
