Strip package for antiseptic cap
A syringe assembly includes (1) a syringe barrel defining a chamber; (2) a plunger mounted in the chamber and moveable with respect to the barrel; and (3) a cap assembly containing a cap and an absorbent material is removably attached to the plunger. A strip package includes at least two cap assemblies. Each of the cap assemblies includes a cap holder and an antiseptic cap positioned in the cap holder. The antiseptic cap includes a sidewall defining a chamber and an antiseptic substance within the chamber. A strip extends over at least two cap assemblies. The strip includes a first seal engaged to the cap holder and a second seal engaged to the antiseptic cap.
Sterile Sleeve for Use in the Production of Surgical Slush
A sleeve kit comprising a container sleeve and a sleeve cap which may be engaged with the container sleeve to form a sleeve assembly that envelopes a slush container, the sleeve kit including an attachment system to allow the sleeve cap to be engaged with the container sleeve to form the sleeve assembly and then become disengaged so that the slush container may be removed from the container sleeve. The attachment system may be a single-use attachment system to allow the sleeve cap to be engaged with the container sleeve to form the sleeve assembly. The container sleeve may have a set of at least one vent which allows air to move from an open top end of the container sleeve to a space between a bottom of an inserted slush container and a bottom of the container sleeve to facilitate removal of the slush container from the container sleeve.
PACKAGING, PREFERABLY MEDICAL, AND CORRESPONDING ASSEMBLY OF PACKAGINGS
A packaging element (2, 3) has two shells (21, 22, 31, 32), each shell having a margin (210, 220) defining an access opening giving access to the inside of the shell, said packaging element (2, 3) having at least a closed configuration in which the shells form a chamber that is substantially closed and that is suitable for receiving an article, such as a medical implant. The packaging element (2, 3) further has a sealing strip (4) that extends, outside the shells (21, 22, 31, 32), over the entire length of the margins (210, 220) of the shells of the packaging element, and from one margin (210, 220) of the shell to the other margin (220, 210) of the shell in such a manner as to seal the chamber defined by the two shells. An assembly has two packaging elements received one inside the other, with a corresponding sealing method.
Waste Receiver For Receiving A Pharmaceutical Waste Material
A waste disposal system with a waste receiver for receiving pharmaceutical waste material. A locking assembly is secured to a fixed surface and actuated from a locked configuration to an unlocked configuration. A lock cylinder of the locking assembly may extend forward of a front wall of a receiver body of the waste receiver to engage a locking feature of the cover in the locked configuration. A cover retention feature may prevent axial decoupling of the cover from the receiver body. The receiver body may be formed from two shells. A reaction agent is positioned within the container volume and spaced apart from a bottom wall of the receiver body. The reaction agent may be positioned within the container volume between the lock passageway and/or a solid receiver volume, and opposing sidewalls of the receiver body. A support may maintain the position of the reaction agent within the container volume.
DISPOSABLE CAP FOR AN EYE IMAGING APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS
Disclosed herein is a disposable cap for an eye imaging apparatus with an optical window and related methods. The disposable cap can comprise an optically transparent window cover, a ridge, a side wall and a locking element. The window cover can comprise a convex back surface to match a concave shape of the optical window. The ridge of the disposable cap can extend distally and radially outward from the window cover and the side wall can extend proximally and radially outwardly from the ridge. The locking element can comprise one or more radially inward projections and one or more radially outward releasing tabs. A disposable packaging shell of the disposable cap also disclosed. Disclosed herein is also a plug-in disposable system comprising the disposable cap and the disposable packaging shell, configured to enable the disposable cap to be attached to and detached from the eye imaging apparatus.
Sterilisation container
A container for sterilizing a medical object and storing a sterilized medical object, the container including: a container body including a first opening in a first end of the container for passage of the medical object into the internal cavity, the internal cavity including a removably insertable platform having a receiving surface to receive and support the medical object, the platform keyed to be retained in a fixed position between the first end of the container body and a second end of the container body; a first seal for closing the first opening; and a vapor permeable sterility barrier for maintaining sterility of the internal cavity and allowing the passage of vapor.
Pharmaceutical waste disposal assembly
An assembly for receiving fluid pharmaceutical waste into a fluid waste receiver includes a fluid receiver body coupled to a fluid receiver cap, and receiving solid pharmaceutical waste into a solid waste receiver includes a solid receiver body coupled to a solid receiver cap. The assembly comprises a receiver housing and a receiver lid coupled to the receiver housing. The receiver housing comprises a retainer base, sidewalls extending from the retainer base, and dividers extending from the sidewalls to divide an interior of the receiver housing into a receiver compartment configured to receive the fluid receiver body and the solid receiver body, and a cap compartment. A first of the dividers divides the receiver compartment from a first of the cap compartments configured to receive the fluid receiver cap, and a second one of the dividers divides the receiver compartment from a second of the cap compartments configured to receive the solid receiver cap.
PACKAGE FOR AN OBJECT AND AN ASSEMBLY INCLUDING SUCH A PACKAGE
A package for an object includes a support element with means for coupling the object to the support element. A first hollow protective element is provided as a stopper coupled to the support element of the object. The support element presents a grip portion which projects from the stopper, the support element, alone or in co-operation with the stopper, defining a first chamber containing the object. A second hollow protective element is provided as a cover. The cover is coupled to the stopper so as to cooperate with the stopper to define a second chamber inside which the grip portion of the support element extends. The cover is coupled to the stopper, with the grip portion of the stopper projecting from the cover.
Package for an object and an assembly including such a package
A package for an object such as a preferably-sterile medical component, includes: a support element provided with elements for coupling the object; a stopper that can be coupled to the support element in such a manner as to define a first chamber for containing the object, and such that a grip portion of the support element projects from the stopper; and a cover that can be coupled to the stopper in such a manner as to define a second chamber inside which the grip portion of the support element extends, and such that a portion of the stopper coupled to the support element projects from the cover.
