System and method for determining structural characteristics of an object

The present invention relates generally to a system and method for measuring the structural characteristics of an object. The object is subjected to an energy application processes and provides an objective, quantitative measurement of structural characteristics of an object. The system may include a device, for example, a percussion instrument, capable of being reproducibly placed against the object undergoing such measurement for reproducible positioning. The system does not include an external on/off switch or any remote on/off switching mechanism. The system also includes a disposable feature or assembly for minimizing cross-contamination between tests. The structural characteristics as defined herein may include vibration damping capacities, acoustic damping capacities, structural integrity or structural stability.

When the handheld device is in the extended configuration and the first and second electrodes contact a first hand of a patient such that the first and second electrodes contact different locations on the first hand, the third electrode is in contact with a location on the patient's other hand and the fourth electrode contacts a point on the patient's body that depends on the particular trace being measured.

The A-to-D converter may communicate the control signals to the first MEMS sensor or the second MEMS micro-dispenser; receive the generated IOP measurements from the first MEMS sensor; receive medication dispensing parameters from the second MEMS micro-dispenser or medication dispensing device, and communicate the generated IOP measurements or the medication dispensing parameters. The present invention generally relates to improved medical devices, systems, and methods. In many embodiments, devices, systems, and methods for locating and treating a target nerve with integrated cold therapy and electrical stimulation systems are provided. For example, nerve stimulation and cryoneurolysis may be delivered concurrently or alternately with the cryo-stimulation device. In some embodiments, the device may be operated by a single operator or clinician. Accordingly, embodiments of the present disclosure may improve nerve targeting during cryoneurolysis procedures. Improvements in nerve localization and targeting may increase treatment accuracy, physician confidence in needle placement during treatment, and clinical efficacy and safety. In turn, such improvements may decrease overall treatment times, the number of repeat treatments, and the re-treatment rate. Further, additional improvements in nerve localization and targeting may reduce the number of needle insertions, applied treatment cycles, and may also reduce the number of cartridge changes.

When the camera attachment is received in the first aperture, the image sensor is disposed within the housing of the docking station and is configured to generate second image data that is reproducible as an image of a second target area located within the housing of the docking station.
