METHOD OF AN ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT, USE OF A PEARL AS A HOLDING ELEMENT FOR AN ORTHODONTIC APPLIANCE AND A PEARL FOR AN ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT
A method of an orthodontic treatment, the method including the steps of a) placing a pearl on a tooth, and b) placing a first splint over the teeth of a jaw, at least a tooth being provided with a pearl according to step a). Also the use of a pearl as a holding element for an orthodontic appliance.
Orthodontic bracket apparatus and method for treating a malocclusion
An orthodontic bracket apparatus and method for treating a malocclusion includes a bracket base having an angulated posterior facing surface and which is matingly and releasably positioned adjacent to an anterior facing surface of a patient's tooth; a multiplicity of bracket bodies releasably and adjustably engageable with the bracket base; and an arch wire simultaneously engageable within an arch wire slot defined in each of the bracket bodies to exert first, second and third order movements to the maloccluded tooth; and wherein the bracket base remains affixed to the patient's tooth throughout the multiple step orthodontic treatment regimen selected by the treating clinician.
ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT APPARATUS
An orthodontic treatment device includes: a receiving element fastenable in the jaw of a patient for receiving at least one wire arch portion (; and a securing element for securing the orthodontic wire arch in the receiving element. The receiving element has, a first or gingival receiving pocket for receiving a first or gingival wire arch portion and a second or occlusal receiving pocket for receiving a second or occlusal wire arch portion which together form a C-shaped receiving opening for the securing element an inserted state, the securing element The wire arch can be held in the gingival receiving pocket and placed on the bent inner surface of the gingival receiving pocket. The securing element has a first or gingival contact surface (adapted to a first or gingival wire arch portion for securing the wire arch in the gingival receiving pocket.
DENTAL ORTHOSIS, ASSOCIATED CHARACTERISATION AND/OR MANUFACTURING METHODS
The invention relates to a dental orthosis, which includes a body having an inner surface and an outer surface, the body being arranged to homothetically cover a portion of a dental crown, an attachment having a gap and engaging with no degree of freedom with the outer surface of the body. The outer surface of the body advantageously includes a regular protrusion, the protrusion being arranged to constitute the attachment by material shrinkage, the body and protrusion being made as a single part.
Orthodontic bracket having fixed ligating tabs
A self-ligating orthodontic bracket having no movable or flexible parts includes a base having front and rear surfaces. The rear surface is adapted for attachment to the crown of a tooth. A body member is attached to the base and includes an upper half and a lower half, with facing archwire slot surfaces formed on the lower and upper sides thereof, respectively. One or more slot separating tabs are formed on the body member halves and extend vertically toward the other body member half at least partially beyond the archwire slot surface of the body member half to which the slot separating tab is attached. One or more ligating tabs are formed on the body member halves. The body member halves, slot separating tabs and ligating tabs are arranged such that they define an entry opening to a pair of archwire slots, the openings being non-linear in a mesial-distal direction.
Dalman orthodontic bracket
An orthodontic bracket assembly treatment system comprising a bracket base and at least two rigid selectable bracket covers slidably engageable with the bracket base wherein the selectable at least two rigid selectable bracket covers are removably slidably couplable to said bracket base by slidably engaging the upper lip with the upper retention element and the lower lip with the lower retention element and wherein the width of the face of a first one of the at least two rigid selectable bracket covers is wider than the width of the face of a second one of the at least two rigid bracket covers and can be selectively releasably attached to the base during a treatment such that the treatment utilizes either the first bracket cover or the second bracket cover depending on a patient's treatment needs at a stage of the treatment.
Orthodontic bracket
An orthodontic bracket is provided, including a backend surface, a frontend surface, a first side surface, a second side surface, and a passageway. The backend surface is adapted for attachment and is opposite the frontend surface. The first and second side surfaces are connected between the backend surface and the frontend surface. The passageway extends from the first side surface to the second side surface. The cross-section of the passageway includes an access opening, an archwire slot, a path portion, and at least one rotation portion. The access opening is configured to allow the archwire to enter the passageway. The archwire slot is configured to receive the archwire. The path portion connects the access opening and the archwire slot. The rotation portion is provided in the path portion to allow the archwire to change its orientation.
Bracket
The invention relates to a bracket for correcting the position of a tooth, comprising a bracket base of a bracket body, which bracket base can be fastened to a tooth, and which bracket body has a slot, extending in the mesiodistal direction, and also a fourth slot portion that narrows by a predetermined amount () in a predetermined region, so as preferably to form a snug fit for an inserted archwire, wherein the fourth slot portion is designed running in the longitudinal direction substantially parallel to the bracket base.
Self ligating orthodontic bracket having a rotatable member
The present disclosure is directed, at least in part, to a self ligating orthodontic bracket having a rotatable member for securing an archwire within a slot of the bracket. Embodiments of the orthodontic bracket disclosed herein include a bracket body containing the archwire slot as well as tie wings for attaching various orthodontic devices (e.g., elastomeric bands) to the bracket. The rotatable member is rotatable in a first direction (e.g., counter clockwise) relative to a body of the bracket for securing or locking the archwire within the slot, and for rotating in an opposite direction (e.g., a clockwise direction) relative to the bracket body for unsecuring or unlocking the archwire so that it is substantially unrestrained from exiting the slot.
