Low-Profile Retentive Abutment
A low-profile retentive abutment is used for securing dentures to a user's jaw. The low-profile abutment has an abutment fastener is used to mount an overdenture onto the user's jaw and has a body, a dimpled recession, and a retentive clasp. The dimple recession traverses into the body and forms a mounting point to attach the clasp to the body. The clasp is a connector that enables the overdenture to be detachably mounted onto the body. The clasp has a stop plate, a C-shaped frame, and a dimple protrusion. The stop plate ensures that the clasp is maintained in a desired orientation while attached to the body. The frame is connected in between the stop plate and the dimple protrusion so that the dimple protrusion engages into the dimple recession. Accordingly, the frame facilitates maintaining the clasp in an orientation that facilitates securely attaching the overdenture to the user's jaw.
MID-GINGIVAL IMPLANT SYSTEM
The present invention provides a mid-gingival dental implant system that includes a dental implant having a threaded body portion and a superstructure extending from a coronal surface of the threaded body portion. The superstructure includes two O-ring housings for housing deformable O-rings. The mid-gingival system can also include two screws. One for screw retained final components and one for cement retained final components.
DENTAL TECHNOLOGY KIT
A dental technology kit for coupling a dental prosthesis to a bone tissue includes at least one shell that defines a compartment that can be associated with a protruding head of a pin that can be anchored, directly or indirectly, to the bone tissue. The kit further includes at least one containment unit, which can be stably inserted into a complementarily-shaped recess that can be provided in the prosthesis, and an intermediate container defining internally a receptacle of shape at least partially complementary to the shell. The container is accommodatable in an at least partially complementarily-shaped chamber provided in the containment unit until a mating configuration is defined, in which at least one curved surface hump of the container, accommodated in the chamber, is arranged in contact with at least one complementarily-shaped curved surface region of the unit.
TEMPORARY ABUTMENT WITH COMBINATION OF SCANNING FEATURES AND PROVISIONALIZATION FEATURES
A lower region of a temporary abutment includes an anti-rotational feature for non-rotationally mating with a dental implant. An upper region of the temporary abutment includes a first anti-rotational structure and at least one retention groove. A top surface of the temporary abutment includes one or more informational markers that provide information concerning the dental implant. A temporary abutment cap is configured to be coupled to the upper region of the temporary abutment. The temporary abutment cap has at least one projection configured to mate with the at least one retention groove of the temporary abutment. The temporary abutment cap has a second anti-rotational structure that is configured to slidably engage the first anti-rotational structure of the temporary abutment. The temporary abutment cap is configured to be coupled with a temporary prosthesis such that the temporary prosthesis and the temporary abutment cap are removable from the temporary abutment.
Configurations for the connection of dental restorations with abutments
Dental prostheses are disclosed including a dental prosthesis that can comprise an abutment and a component stabilized with vitamin E. The abutment can be adapted to be secured in a patient's jaw. The component can be adapted to couple the abutment to a dental appliance.
Dental anchoring system for fastening prostheses
A dental anchoring system for fastening prostheses having a male component, a female component which is coupled to the male component, and a connection element which is coupled to the female component and makes up the retaining element of the prosthesis configured to be joined to the connection element. The dental anchoring system is configured to achieve a self-adjustable fastening of the prosthesis which enables the mobility of prosthesis to be controlled when it is subjected to a load during the use thereof by a patient; and wherein the mobility is limited by a ring-shaped stop of the female component, when at least one portion of a ring-shaped plane of the connection element comes into contact with ring-shaped stop of the female component.
Dual fixation system for prosthesis on dental implants that allows the prosthesis to be screwed or clip retained as appropriate
The invention relates to a dual fixation system for dental implant prosthesis consisting of: an intermediate abutment assembly for fixation on the implant, clip fixation device, fixation screw and cylinder that allows the prosthesis to be screwed or retained by clip as appropriate, individually or independently for each implant. This system facilitates both the immediate loading technique and the execution of the definitive prosthesis made on an intermediate abutment, since retention by clip is very advantageous in the case of implants with unfavorable emergencies, joining them to the structure as abutments and without compromising the esthetics of the case.
DENTAL PROSTHETIC SYSTEM WITH DRY-FIT CAPABILITY
A dental restorative system (10) includes a dental prosthesis (21), a support surface (13a or 30) and a cement gap (22) between those opposing surfaces. A number of dry-fit features (11) can be placed upon the support surface (13a or 30) or the prosthesis (21) such that the features (11) extend into cement gap (22). Dry-fit features (11) serve to position the prosthesis (21) during a dry-fit procedure and during subsequent cementing of the prosthesis (21) to its support surface (13a or 30).
CAP FOR FASTENING ON AN ANCHORING ELEMENT
A cap for fastening a denture on an anchoring element has a projecting part pointing radially inwards which co-operates with a circumferential groove on the anchoring element, thus forming a retention element such that the cap can be releasably fastened on the anchoring element. The cap has a conical end portion located below the retention element, the end portion at least partially surrounding, in the fastened state, a corresponding outer surface of the anchoring element.
REMOVABLE AND ADJUSTABLE ABUTMENT DEVICES AND METHODS OF OPERATION THEREOF
Apparatus and methods for adjustably retaining an oral appliance to an abutment assembly are disclosed. In one variation, a securement apparatus can comprise a sleeve having a sleeve frame and a number of locking flaps. The sleeve can define a lumen therethrough for positioning upon an abutment assembly. The locking flaps can have varying length dimensions and can project radially inward or outward relative to the sleeve frame. The outward flaps can lock against surface features defined along an inner surface of a coping coupled to the oral appliance and the inward flaps can lock against surface features defined along a portion of the abutment assembly. The sleeve can release the oral appliance from the abutment assembly when the locking flaps of the sleeve are actuated by an actuation unit.
