Methods of and systems for searching by incorporating user-entered information
A system for and a method of using user-entered information to return more meaningful information in response to Internet search queries are disclosed. A method in accordance with the disclosed subject matter comprises managing a database in response to multiple user inputs and displaying search results from the database in response to a search query. The search results include a results list and supplemental data related to the search query. Managing the database includes, among other things, re-ranking elements in the results list, storing information related to relevancies of elements in the results list, blocking a link in the results list, storing links to documents related to the search query, or any combination of these. The supplemental data include descriptions of or indices to one or more concepts related to the search query.

System and methods for searching and communication
Described are computer-based methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, comprising the steps of, or structure for, storing a plurality of expert profiles in a database, each of the plurality of expert profiles comprising information associated with a person having knowledge in a particular category, subject or topic; receiving search criteria over a network from a query source; selecting at least one of the plurality of expert profiles comprising information that satisfy the search criteria; and transmitting expert profile data for each of the selected expert profiles to the remote search engine, the expert profile data comprising data that defines a displayable representation of a corresponding expert profile, the expert profile data further comprising data that facilitates a client-initiated, real-time communication session over the network with a person associated with the corresponding expert profile.

Mobile device and method
A computer device comprises a display and a processor. The processor is configured to: intercept information sent from an application, to be displayed on the display; identify an information entity in the intercepted information, comprised in a predefined set of information entity types; reformat appearance of the identified information entity to be displayed on the display; forward the intercepted information including the reformatted appearance of the identified information entity to be displayed on the display. The display is configured to: present the identified information entity with the reformatted appearance to the user of the computer device. Also a corresponding method is disclosed.

PROVIDING SMART WEB LINKS
Systems and methods presented herein provide smart web links that display the most relevant portion of a shared web page based on the context in which the web page is shared. An agent on a user device can detect a uniform resource locator (“URL”) shared on a communication channel. The agent can send the URL and content from the communication channel to a server. The server can retrieve a web page of the URL and identify sections of it. The server can compare the sections to the communication content to determine which section is the most semantically similar. The server can modify the web page to generate a custom preview, highlight the semantically similar content, and cause the web page to automatically scroll to the highest scoring section. The agent can change the shared URL to a new URL that directs to the modified web page.
Selective query loading across query interfaces
A method includes receiving, in a first query interface, a query composed by the user by typing commands into a query box of the first query interface and based on the receiving of the query, causing events corresponding to query results of the query to be displayed in the first query interface with fields corresponding to the events. Based on the selection by the user of an option, a second query interface is displayed with a table that includes events that correspond to query results of a loaded query. The table includes columns corresponding to event attributes, rows corresponding to events. Cells are populated with the data items of event attributes, where one of the columns corresponds to a field of the fields displayed in the first query interface. The table also includes interactive regions selectable by the user to add one or more commands to the loaded query.

Systems and methods for medical information data warehouse management
Systems and methods for data warehouse management for medical information is provided. The system receives a set of medical record documents. These documents include evidence for one or more findings which are identified using natural language processing of evidence. The data set is probabilistically transformed into a structured data set (often as a table). This structured data set includes embedded links that reference the source document where the evidence is located. If the finding is supported by multiple articles of evidence, the link will direct the user to the source document with the highest confidence ranking. Evidence in the source document is highlighted and may include associated annotations. Evidence, findings and annotations may be updated by the user.
