ACCESS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR WAREHOUSE RACK LOSS PREVENTION
A merchandise access system for a retail merchandise display is provided. The system includes a product support structure, a door and a brake. The product support structure defines a product storage area. The product storage area is formed between a front end and rear end of the product support structure. The door is transitionable between an open orientation in which selected product of the plurality of product can be removed from the product storage area and a closed orientation in which the plurality of product cannot be removed from the product storage area. The brake transitions between a braking position that prevents unselected product of the plurality of product from being moved towards the front end due to a biasing force and a release position in which the unselected product can move towards the front end due to the biasing force.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONDUCTING AND RECORDING INSURANCE CLAIM TRANSACTIONS USING BLOCKCHAIN
A method and system for conducting and recording insurance claim transactions using blockchain is provided. The method comprises the steps of: receiving a first verification element from a claimant at an authenticated provider device of a provider; verifying an eligibility of said claimant at a financer and an eligibility of said provider at a provider network according to said first verification element and said provider device; receiving a second verification element from said claimant at said provider device, said second verification element being distinct from said first verification element; conducting said insurance claim transaction by triggering a transaction chaincode at said provider device according to said second verification element; recording an entry of said insurance claim transaction on a blockchain ledger of a blockchain system; wherein a hashed value of an irreversible hash of said first verification element and said second verification element is stored in a global ledger of said blockchain system, and said entry of insurance claim transaction is stored in a private ledger of said blockchain system only accessible by said financer and said provider network; wherein a proof of claim of said insurance claim transaction is collected from said provider device at the time said transaction chaincode is triggered.
Near field communication method of detection of a tag presence by a tag reader
A Near Field Communication method performed by a tag reader detects whether a tag is present. The method includes stimulating the tag reader's transmitter to generate an impulse response, evaluating the impulse response generated by the transmitter to obtain an evaluated impulse response, and assessing whether a tag is present based on the evaluated impulse response.
System-Directed Single Line Pick Batching
A system-directed single line pick batching is described. In an example implementation, the system may receive data describing a set of orders including SKU identifiers associated with items in the orders, identify an eligible cart, and assign a location to a task queue of the cart based on the location being associated with a particular SKU identifier. In some instances, the location or SKU identifier may be determined based on an order with a certain quantity of different SKU identifiers. In some instances, the system may navigate the cart to the location and instruct the item to be picked from the location. In response to completion of the pick of the item, the system may navigate the cart to an end point.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING AND VERIFYING THE VALIDITY OF A TRANSACTION
A method and system for validating compliance with the terms of a transaction, includes gathering sensor and human-sourced data and analyzing and grading the data for compliance with each element and with the transaction as a whole.
Prepaid, debit and credit card security code generation system
This invention is a comprehensive “Dynamic Security Code” (“DSC”) System (“DSC System”) that can change the security code of a prepaid, debit, or credit card (“Payment Card”). In an effort to thwart Card-Not-Present (“CNP”) fraud, the DSC System provides dynamic security code values (“DSC Values”) that have a limited use. The DSC Values provided by this DSC System can be calculated by various methodologies and can be used within existing standard payment card infrastructures. The DSC System can also be used with other form factors and in other environments not related to payments such as balance inquiries. The DSC Values can be calculated by a DSC Generator Server or on the card itself.
Computerized apparatus and methods for location-based service provision
Computerized apparatus and methods useful for causing provision of location-based services to users via a user portable wireless computerized device or other device. In one embodiment, the user device establishes a secure communication session with a network server (e.g., proxy process for a service coordinator or provider) to provide user-specific location-based services such as a time-limited rental of a tangible object or space. In one variant, dynamic generation of a response to the user included providing image data relating to provision of the user-specific location-based service, the image data enabling the user to authenticate at least one aspect of the provision of the user-specific location-based service by the third party service provider.
Payment cards and devices with gift card, global integration, and magnetic stripe reader communication functionality
A payment card (e.g., credit and/or debit card) or other device (e.g., mobile telephone) is provided with a magnetic emulator operable to communicate data to a magnetic stripe read-head. Gift cards may be inputted by a user into such a payment card or other device such that a user can combine gift cards. Similarly, a user be provided with a global payment account that can be utilized in multiple countries that have different standards for formatting data. A user may be provided with a default country (e.g., United States) but may have a way to select that the user is in a different country (e.g., Japan). Accordingly, a user may select that a Japanese data structure be transmitted through a magnetic stripe reader when the user is in Japan.
System for Recording an Inventory of Monitoring Objects of a Plant
Systems and methods for recording an inventory of monitoring objects (1) of a plant (4) having a multiplicity of fixed or non-fixed areas (5) where monitoring objects (1) can be located. The plant (4) is suitable for carrying out sequences of operations using the monitoring objects (1) and has a multiplicity of detection devices (6) which are each assigned to an area (5) of the plant (4). The monitoring objects (1) are in each case provided with preferably contactlessly readable identification elements (3), which have a unique identifier. The detection devices (6) have a data connection to an arithmetic unit (7), which manages an inventory database (8).
TRACKING PLAYING CARDS DURING GAME PLAY USING RFID TAGS
A system having a radio-frequency-identification (RFID) tag reader and a camera to map playing cards to RFID tag values. Each card is inserted into a sleeve that has an RFID tag. During or after insertion of a card into a sleeve, the camera captures an image of the card and the RFID reader captures an RFID tag value for the sleeve. The identity of the card is then determined from the captured image and mapped to the RFID tag value. This mapping information is generated for each card-sleeve pair in a card deck and utilized to track the movement of the cards during game play. The RFID tag value of each card-sleeve pair in the card deck is captured before and after a player draws a card from the deck. The missing RFID tag values are compared to the mapping information to identify which cards where drawn by the player.
