PRODUCT VERIFICATION IN A MESSAGING SYSTEM
The subject technology analyzes image data to recognize an object corresponding to an identification indicator of a physical item. The subject technology extracts verification metadata from the identification indicator, the verification metadata including information for verifying whether the physical item is an authentic item. The subject technology receives manufacturer verification information based at least in part on the verification metadata. The subject technology receives provenance information associated with the physical item based at least in part on the manufacturer verification information and the verification metadata. The subject technology causes display of a media overlay including the physical item based at least in part on the provenance information, wherein the media overlay includes an indication of authenticity of the physical item.

An apparatus for marking a component by applying readable identifying information is provided. The identifying information has at least one identifying feature, in particular an identifying symbol. The apparatus includes a detection device which is designed to detect, on the basis of an eddy current measurement, identifying information applied or to be applied to a component by way of the apparatus.
Methods and apparatus for providing out-of-range indications for imaging readers
Methods and apparatus for providing out-of-range indications are disclosed. An example imaging reader includes an image sensor and an optical assembly. The imaging reader may include a distance determining module configured to determine a distance to a target. The imaging reader may include an indication determining module configured to determine an out-of-range indication when the distance satisfies a first condition. An indicator may be included and configured to present the out-of-range indication. The image sensor may be configured to capture a representation of an image of the target when the distance satisfies a second condition. The imaging reader may include an indicia decoder configured to decode an indicia in the representation to determine an indicia payload and/or a communication interface to convey the indicia payload to a host system.
IMAGE PROCESSING FOR SCANNING DEVICES BASED ON LASER AIMER POSITION
Image processing for scanning devices based on laser aimer position, wherein a first frame and a second frame of image data related to an object associated with a barcode are captured using a scanning device. A difference between first pixel data for a first grouping of pixels associated with the first frame and second pixel data for a second grouping of pixels associated with the second frame is computed. Additionally, a location of a laser aimer pattern in the first frame or the second frame is determined based on a comparison between respective differences between the first pixel data for the first grouping of pixels and the second pixel data for the second grouping of pixels, where the laser aimer pattern is created by the scanning device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REMOTE ATM ACCESS
A system includes a location identifier device and a computer system. The location identifier is configured to transmit an identifier to a user device when the user device is within a predetermined range of an area and receive location information from the user device associated with a user. The computer system is configured to receive the location information from the user device within the area via the location identifier device and receive a request for an ATM transaction from the user device. The request includes attribute information associated with the user. The computer system is configured to receive attribute information associated with the user comprising an indication of a license plate within the area and identify, based on a determination that the attribute information at least partially matches the attribute information from the request, the user associated with the request. The computer system is configured to transmit, based on the user device being within the area and the identification of the user, a transaction code to the user device.
Systems and methods for remote ATM access
A system includes a location identifier device configured to receive location information from a user device; a surveillance device configured to capture video surveillance; and a computer system. The computer system is configured to: receive the location information; receive a request for an ATM transaction that includes attribute information associated with the user; obtain, from the received video surveillance, captured attribute information associated with the user; determine that the captured attribute information at least partially matches the received attribute information; transmit a transaction code to the user device based on (i) the location information from the user device being within the area, (ii) the captured attribute information at least partially matching the attribute information, and (iii) the identification of the user associated with the request; and facilitate the ATM transaction based at least partially on the received transaction code.
INDICIA READER ACOUSTIC FOR MULTIPLE MOUNTING POSITIONS
An indicia reader can include an indicia-capturing system, an indicia-decoding module, and an audio indicator system having a sound source. An indicia-reader housing can support these components, and the housing includes two adjacent mounting surfaces and a sound port opening formed within a portion of the common edge of the two adjacent surfaces. The indicia reader can be operatively mounted in at least two different positions by attaching one of the two adjacent surfaces to a support structure. The reader's sound port opening is in acoustic communication with the sound source of the audio indicator for transmitting audible indications emitted via the audio indicator system when the indicia reader is mounted in either of the at least two different mounting positions.
Barcode detection method
The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for detecting barcodes in a digital image represented as a two-dimensional digital image array comprising: applying a filter to the image array, computing a discrete Radon transformation of the filtered image array, wherein the discrete Radon Transformation is computed for a plurality of discrete lines across the filtered image array, wherein for each given discrete line with a given slope the discrete Radon transformation is computed for a number of different displacements of the given discrete line, wherein said number of displacements is less than two times a dimension of the image array, detecting in the output of the discrete Radon transformation of the filtered image array the vertex points of a pattern, and converting the detected vertex points back to discrete lines in the image array for constraining the location of a barcode present in the digital image.

INFORMATION SECURITY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION FOR ATMS USING USER PROFILES
A system for verifying a user operating an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) receives a first image of the user from the ATM, captured by a camera associated with the ATM, when the ATM receives a transaction request. The system compares the first image of the user with a second image of the user stored in a user profile associated with the user. The system compares the first image of the user with the second image of the user. The system determines whether the first image of the user corresponds to the second image of the user. The system approves the transaction request if it is determined that the first image of the user corresponds to the second image of the user.
