Method and apparatus for presenting graphic codes
The present application provides a method and apparatus for presenting a graphic code. The method includes: after detecting that a graphic code page is invoked, starting a front-facing image capture module of a current device to perform image capturing; performing image recognition on a captured image, and if the captured image includes a pre-configured feature of a code scanning module, calculating an offset distance between the code scanning module and a current presentation location of a graphic code; and calculating a target presentation location based on the offset distance, and presenting the graphic code at the target presentation location. Based on the method provided in the present application, a location of a graphic code can be adapted automatically, and a user does not need to perform alignment, thereby improving user experience.
Display with Integrated Cameras
A display includes two-integrated cameras. A first camera is situated in a top right corner of a front display surface of the display and a second camera is situated in a top left corner of the front display surface. The display is connected to a transaction terminal with the first camera focused on a bagging area associated with the transaction terminal and with the second camera focused on a staging area associated with the transaction terminal. Each camera captures images of items and the item images are streamed over a high-speed display port directly to the transaction terminal. The transaction terminal performs item recognition, item tracking, and auditing on the items based the item images during transaction processing at the transaction terminal.
Sensor mount
The present invention pertains to the art of sensing articles typically moving on a conveyor. An apparatus is disclosed, for the purpose of securely attaching a sensing device to a sub-structure such as a sidepan metal sheet that contains a hole through which the sensing/detection device passes its sensing beam. A primary novelty of the apparatus is that it enables secure mounting of various through-hole devices without the need for attaching any additional bracketry and without creating obstructions to package movement. It is unique in that it utilizes the through-hole which is necessary to allow passage of the sensing beam through the side guards of the conveyor, with the below-surface attachment being made possible by means of a tapered, or sloping surface that is created when the hole is made.
ARCHITECTURE FOR FASTER DECODING IN A BARCODE READING SYSTEM THAT INCLUDES A SLOW INTERFACE BETWEEN THE CAMERA AND DECODER
Disclosed herein is a barcode reading system that includes an image decoding system, a communication interface, and an image sensor system package. The image decoding system may include a processor, memory, and a decoder stored in the memory. The image sensor system package may be coupled to the image decoding system via the communication interface. The image sensor system package may include a photo sensor array and pre-processing circuitry. The photo sensor array may be configured to capture image frames at a first speed. The pre-processing circuitry may be configured to perform one or more operations on the image frames captured by the photo sensor array. The pre-processing circuitry may be additionally configured to effect transfer of at least some of the image frames to the image decoding system via the communication interface at a second speed. The first speed may be greater than the second speed.
Scan crutch
A scanning system is providing including a scanner and a scan crutch. The scanner includes a housing, a window in an upper end of the housing, and a light emitter/receiver in the housing under the window. The scan crutch is attached to the scanner and includes a base and a protrusion extending from the base in a direction away from the scanner. The protrusion of the scan crutch ensures accurate and repeatable scanning of target objects by allowing a user to quickly position the scanner at an optimum distance from a target object by contacting the target object with the protrusion of the scan crutch.
Barcode reader
A barcode reader may include an image sensor array, an optic system, an image buffer, and a plurality of pre-processing circuits implemented in hardware. The optic system may be configured to focus an image of a barcode onto the image sensor array. The plurality of pre-processing circuits may collectively implement a plurality of different image processing functions. Each pre-processing circuit may be configured to receive as input an image frame from the image sensor array or an image data record from the image buffer. The image data record may be derived from the image frame. Each pre-processing circuit may also be configured to perform an image processing function with respect to the image frame or the image data record, thereby generating a new image data record. A decoder may use at least one image data record to decode the barcode.
POINT OF SALE OPTICAL-BASED DEVICE ASSOCIATION AND CONFIGURATION
Techniques for configuring a point of sale (POS) system may include using an optical sensing module to read an identifier associated with a POS component and associating the POS component with a zone that is monitored by the optical sensing module, where the zone includes the POS system. In response to optically sensing the identifier, the system may automatically configure the component to function within the POS system.
Barcode reader
A barcode reader may perform image processing functions to generate distinct image data records from the frame of image data of a barcode, select an image data record from the distinct image data records and decode the selected image data record. Each image data record may be generated by applying a distinct image processing function to the frame of image data. The barcode reader may capture multiple frames of image data in sequence based on image capture parameters. At least one of the multiple frames of image data may be captured with a distinct parameter value. The image capture parameters may include an exposure setting, a gain setting, a resolution setting, and/or an illumination setting.
Light projected feedback for guiding hand movements
A hand-held barcode reader has a decoding module that analyzes barcodes on a surface. The decoding module determines a displacement based on a current position of the hand-held barcode reader and a desired new position of the hand-held barcode reader with respect to a barcode on the surface. An LED of the hand-held barcode reader produces a first-colored light-spot at a position on the surface to direct a desired movement of the hand-held barcode reader to move from the current position to the desired new position.
