System and Method for Targeted Marketing and Consumer Resource Management
Systems and methods are provided for providing targeted marketing to goods and services provides and consumer resource management services to consumers. An example system and method for targeted marketing comprises collecting transaction data from point-of-sale (POS) terminals and using a consumer identifier in the transaction data to access stored information about the consumer. This information may be used to target offers and advertisement to the consumer. In an example system for consumer resource management, a consumer may configure a consumer account on the enterprise infrastructure via a web-site. The consumer may use the consumer account to purchase and configure gift cards that may be used for purchasing goods and services. A universal transaction identifier may be associated with the consumer account and used to purchase goods and services from more than one selected goods and services providers.
LOW-LATENCY APPROXIMATION OF COMBINATORIAL OPTIMIZATION OF RESIDUAL AMOUNTS WHEN ALLOCATING LARGE COLLECTIONS OF STORED VALUE CARDS
Provided is a process including: obtaining a repository of stored value card records; receiving a request for a stored value card from a remote client computing device; inferring based on the request, a transaction balance of a transaction in which the requested stored value card is to be used; inferring based on the request, a merchant to participate in the transaction; identifying a subset of the stored value card records in response; selecting one or more stored value cards from among the identified subset based on a comparison between the inferred transaction balance and the value remaining on the selected one or more stored value cards; and sending balance-access information by which the selected one or more stored value card balance or balances can be spent at a point of sale terminal.
Gift card conversion and digital wallet
A method and a system convert the value of a gift card for use with a mobile device. The value of the gift card is determined from an issuer of the gift card. The value of the gift card is stored in a digital payment account in a storage device. The digital payment account stores values of gift cards from issuers. A financial transaction corresponding to the issuer of the gift card is performed on the digital payment account. The value of a first gift card from a first issuer of a first digital payment account is exchanged with the value of a second gift card from a second issuer of a second digital payment account.
Systems and methods for managing an account
An account is managed using information read from a dual frequency transponder. Information stored on the dual frequency transponder can be read by a NFC-enabled device and by a UHF RFID reader. The information links, corresponds, or otherwise provides access to account information stored at a remote server. For example, a NFC-enabled device can read the information from the dual frequency transponder and use that information to enable instant and on-the-spot recharging of a toll account. In addition, a UHF RFID toll reader can scan information from the dual frequency transponder and use that information to debit toll charges from the correct toll account. The dual frequency transponder can be embedded in a license plate and read using a reader placed in the road. Additionally, the transponder can be configured to function at the correct frequency only when a valid vehicle registration sticker is applied to the license plate.
Computing system implementing reservation monitoring and shared fund transaction processing
A computer system can implement a network transaction service through communications with computing devices of users of the service, a reservation store of registered businesses, and point-of-sale terminals of the registered businesses. The computer system can access the reservation store to detect a reservation made by a respective user of the network transaction service with a selected business. The computer system can then receive a request made by the respective user to utilize the network transaction service at a merchant location of the selected business within a predetermined threshold after a reservation time. The computer system can then receive transaction data from a point-of-sale terminal of the selected business, fund the transaction using a shared funding account of the network transaction service, and transfer funds from a customer account of the respective user to the shared funding account in an amount corresponding to the transaction.
System and methods for enhanced authorization of prepaid cards
A computer-implemented method for enhancing authorization of prepaid payment cards is provided. The method is implemented using an authorization computing device in communication with a memory. The method includes storing a plurality of transaction histories associated with a plurality of prepaid payment cards, receiving an authorization request for a payment transaction between a cardholder and an originating merchant initiated using a prepaid payment card, determining a transaction history associated with the prepaid payment card based on the plurality of transaction histories, calculating a prepaid risk score for the payment transaction based on the authorization request and the determined transaction history, and transmitting the prepaid risk score to the originating merchant.
DETACHABLE RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION SWITCH TAG
A radio frequency identification (RFID) switch tag is disclosed. This RFID switch tag includes a base component having an ultra-high frequency (UHF) booster, and a detachable component having at least one UHF RFID module and a high frequency (HF) RFID module. In some embodiments, the detachable component is positioned in close proximity to the base component in a first configuration of the RFID switch tag such that the at least one UHF RFID module is sufficiently coupled to the UHF booster in the base component to form an UHF RFID system having a desired performance. The detachable component can also be separated from the base component to obtain a second configuration of the RFID switch tag, and the HF RFID module remains functional within the detached detachable component so that the detachable component can be used as a standalone HF RFID tag.
Systems and methods for contest funds management
Systems and methods to provide players with the ability fund a contest purse for an online video game competition, or other type of contest between players. The funds are sourced from financial accounts that are associated with each player. Upon conclusion of the contest and the determination of a winner, the funds that were held in the contest purse are transferred to the financial account of the contest winner.
Retail card application
An application platform configurable for processing a plurality of retail-branded credit cards is provided. Embodiments include a configurable front end comprising a graphical user interface layer that is configurable to a specific one of a plurality of retail-branded credit cards, a backend layer comprising credit card functionality for directly performing credit card transactions associated with a specific one of the plurality of retail-branded credit cards and a location service coupled with said front end and coupled with said backend for determining location information associated with a user of said specific one of said plurality of retail-branded credit cards.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING SPLIT CONTROL OF MULTIPLE EXECUTION ENVIRONMENTS
The present disclosure describes systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media implementing techniques for providing split control of an execution environment. According to aspects of the disclosure, a first entity may be configured to exert control over presentation related aspects (e.g., the look and feel) of services provided by a second entity, while the second entity may exert control over backend processing and execution of the services. To facilitate the different portions of the split control, one or more servers may be configured to provide a first execution layer, a second execution layer, and a second execution layer control panel. The first execution layer may perform operations for executing the provisioning of the service. The second execution layer may perform operations for presenting the computing/execution environment for providing the service, and the second execution environment control panel may provide the first entity to customize/modify presentation related aspects of the computing/execution environment.
