A dissolvable produce washing label includes a dissolvable substrate impregnated with a produce cleanser; an adhesive layer; and a coating to seal and protect from water and humidity. When rubbed and washed with water by the end user the top coating wears and breaks to expose the dissolvable substrate, thereby dissolving the substrate and releasing the produce wash.

A combined primary label and secondary label comprises a first piece of paper, a first release coating disposed on a portion of the first piece of paper, a second piece of paper, a second release coating different from the first release coating and disposed on a portion of the second piece of paper. A method of applying a linerless label to an article wherein a web of joined labels is die cut from a web of label material in which the adhesive is protected by a water-soluble coating which provides a cushion between an anvil and die cutting means. The water-soluble coating is at least partially removed by exposure to water in a press following die-cutting, in a label applicator, or in an off-line unit. The web of joined labels may be wound and unwound between each of the above options. The web of joined labels may be separated in a label applicator by breaking a weakened boundary between adjoining labels or by cutting at a boundary between the label and the adjoining label. The linerless label may contain anti-counterfeit means that may be subsequently identified overtly and/or covertly.

A security sticker in which a plurality of layers including a printed layer are stacked includes an anti-slip elastomer layer provided above or below the printed layer. The elastomer layer is formed on an entire surface of the printed layer and has a sheet shape having a predetermined thickness and a lateral surface length. Even when an external force pushes or pulls an upper surface of the security sticker in any direction, a bottom surface of the security sticker is provided to be deformed or elongated in a direction in which the external force is applied while the security sticker is attached to an original attachment position and to return to an original shape due to a restoring force when the external force is removed. The elastomer layer is formed of a material having an elongation of 150% or more compared to the lateral surface length or the thickness.

A label is provided with a warning layer coating integrated or applied to a front side of the label. The warning layer coating is not activated by application of heat; rather, the warning layer coating activates upon a directional force (vertical or horizontal pulling) applied to the label after the label was initially adhered to a container, bag, box, and/or object. Upon activation, visible color or a printed warning indicia is visible on a front surface of the label, providing evidence that the label was removed after initial application or providing evidence that the label was attempted to be removed after initial application.

The invention relates to an activatable adhesive label comprising a flexible web-shaped viewing material. At least one adhesive layer made of a moisture-activatable adhesive that is not adhesive in the dry state is applied onto one side of the flexible viewing material, wherein at least one central layer is provided which is designed to be adhesive and which is arranged between the viewing material and the adhesive layer.
