SMART LABEL SYSTEM
The invention relates to the label production industry, more specifically to the production of labels with increased performance for improving and amplifying the function of a label. Even more specifically, the invention relates to a system that allows the handling of said label. Said smart label system is characterised in that it is formed by a smart label comprising a) a transparent or translucent film with a print on one of the faces thereof; a film of varnish on said print or on the opposite face, depending on whether the print is on the inside or on the outside, and on said varnish, there is another, different print in a special ink that becomes visible in the event of an attempt to remove the label from the item to which it is stuck, and on this print there is a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive; b) a chip with an antenna between the varnish and the adhesive; c) an electronic mobile device for communicating with the chip; and ch) an algorithm on the chip and on the electronic mobile device for unique encoded reading (padlock) encryption.
Method of manufacturing anti-theft labels
A system and method for manufacturing a strip or label used to place a substantially invisible identifying mark is disclosed. A strip is treated by removing at least one area of a liner element, a film layer and an adhesive layer. Each one of the removed areas is substantially congruent with the other removed areas. A laser or other ablating device is used to remove the areas through vaporization. The strip element is peeled away from the liner element, exposing the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is thereafter pressed against a substantially flat metal surface. The laminate top coat and the film layer are removed from the object, leaving the adhesive layer in place. The adhesive material is impregnated with a UV sensitive material, but is otherwise invisible.
PLANAR SEALING ELEMENT
The present invention relates to a planar sealing element (1) for application to a substrate (2), comprising a carrier layer (3) and several functional layers (4), the functional layers (4) comprising at least one colour display layer (5) and an adhesion-controlling layer (6), the sealing element (1) furthermore comprising an adhesive layer (8) for attachment to the substrate (2), the functional layers (4) being arranged between the carrier layer (3) and the adhesive layer (8), wherein the carrier layer (3) is at least partially detachable from the functional layers (4) in order to bring the sealing element (1) from a first state (9) to a second state (10), with the second state (10) not being convertible into the first state (9), the sealing element (1) in the second state (10) comprising a peeled-off layer (11), comprising at least the at least partially detached carrier layer (3), and a residue (12), comprising at least the adhesive layer (8) and at least parts of the at least one colour display layer (5), the carrier layer (3) being made of paper, wherein it is envisaged, according to the invention, that the carrier layer (3) is translucent so that the peeled-off layer (11), in at least one area when the peeled-off layer (11) is arranged congruently on the residue (12), has a different colour impression than the same area of the carrier layer (3) in the first state (9) in a viewing direction toward the carrier layer (3).
LASER-ENGRAVED SEAL
A laser-engraved seal is provided with improved tamper-resistance, in which the laser-engraved seal includes a surface layer and an adhesive layer, wherein laser engraving on the seal is performed such that the applicable part of the surface layer is removed to form a background pattern, and an identification mark is formed inside the background pattern. The laser-engraved seal includes a surface layer having a first color serving as a release layer, and a base material layer having a second color including a base material or an adhesive layer serving as a base material, and the laser-engraved seal further includes a background pattern formed by removing part of the surface layer by laser engraving performed on the surface layer, and an identification mark formed as a recess inside the background pattern by removing part of the base material layer by laser engraving.
Security Sticker and Method for Banking Cards
The security sticker and method for banking cards includes security stickers that provide protection of information displayed on cards, by allowing users to apply an adhesive backed, tamper evident, camouflaged sticker over any information the user wishes to protect. Different embodiments of the security stickers are provided for users having different kinds of banking cards. An adhesive sticker kit for banking cards includes at least two adhesive stickers to cover the front and back of the bank account numbers displayed on the cards, at least one sticker of different size covering the security code of the cards, another sticker advising to Check Photo ID of user, and at least one sticker displays account information protection advisory statements. The security sticker substrate has a top layer that will crack if someone attempts to remove the sticker from the card, thereby alerting the cardholder that someone has tampered with the banking card.
Display and labeled article
A display includes a first optical effect layer including a first interface part, the first interface part being provided with recesses or protrusions arranged two-dimensionally at the minimum center-to-center distance in a range of 200 nm to 500 nm, each of the recesses or protrusions having a forward-tapered shape; a reflective material layer covering at least a part of the first interface part; and a second optical effect layer including, at a position of a first portion of the first interface part that is covered with the reflective material layer, a portion that faces the reflective material layer with the first optical effect layer interposed therebetween or faces the first optical effect layer with the reflective material layer interposed therebetween, the second optical effect layer containing at least one of a cholesteric liquid crystal, a pearl pigment and a multilayer interference film.

POSTAGE STAMPS
The present invention relates to the field of cold transfer postage stamps for mail pieces (0), methods for manufacturing said postage stamps and uses thereof. In particular, it relates to cold transfer postage stamps comprising a first release coated substrate (1), one or more printed layers (2) comprising one or more security features (6), a white opaque printed layer (3), a pressure sensitive adhesive layer (4), and a second release coated substrate (5).
METHOD FOR AUTHENTICATING ACTIVE PHARMACEUTICAL INGREDIENTS
Provided is a method of authenticating an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API). The method includes providing an API or an API component and adding a nucleic acid marker having a nucleic acid marker sequence to produce a marked API or a marked API component. The presence of the nucleic acid marker is detected in the sample and the authenticity of the API is thereby determined according to whether the pharmaceutical product includes marked API or the marked API component.
LABEL FOR FORGERY-PROOF IDENTIFICATION OF AN OBJECT, AND METHOD
A label to identify an object has an inscribable layer composite for receiving a first, visible inscription to identify an object, an adhesive film for adhering the label to an object, and an active substance, which, when contacting the object surface, penetrates into and/or acts on the object surface. The active substance is disposed on the label rear side in a structured active surface layer, on, in, or underneath the adhesive film. The structured active substance layer includes a partial surface region or multiple partial surface regions of the label base surface. When the label is adhesively affixed to the object surface, the active substance on the label rear side selectively contacts the object surface in the structured active substance surface region. Within the base label surface, the structured active substance layer has the shape and/or contour of a further, initially-invisible inscription, identification or item of information.
