Tamper evident label
A tamper evident label is provided. The tamper evident label broadly includes a base ply of pressure-sensitive material and a top ply of pressure-sensitive material. The base ply and the top ply are laminated together to form the tamper evident label The base ply includes a first portion and a second portion. The second portion of the base ply includes internal cuts and deadened adhesive. The top ply includes a tab portion defined by tab cuts. The tab portion of the top ply and the region between the internal cuts of the base ply are configured to be removed from the tamper evident label to create visual evidence of tampering. Further, a method of constructing a tamper evident label and a method of using a tamper evident label are provided.
Wristband label form with uneven lamination panels
A combination wristband and label form. A combination wristband and label includes a front side formed of paper and a back side. The back side has a polyester section having a first section and a second section. The first section is removable from the form and the second section is permanently adhered to the form. The first section comprises a removable wristband and a removable extender. The wristband has a first panel and a second panel, a first strap extending outboard from said first panel and a second strap extending outboard from said second panel. The first panel has the printable area defined therein and a surrounding area surrounds the printable area. A size of the printable area is disparate from a size of said first panel.
Packaging label
A carton closure label is provided. The carton closure includes a first layer having a first adhesion value and a perforated portion extending at least substantially across a dimension of the first layer. The carton closure also includes a second layer removably coupled with the first layer, the second layer having a second adhesion value that is less than the first adhesion value.
COMBINATION WRISTBAND AND LABEL FORM
A combination wristband and label form has a front sheet with a top portion having labels; and a bottom portion having a wristband die cut therein. A portion of the wristband is configured to receive indicia. The form additionally includes a backing sheet comprising a release liner. The wristband has a central portion with a centerline therethrough, separating the central portion into an upper section and a lower section. A first arm portion extends from the upper section in a first direction and a second arm portion extends from the lower section in a second direction. The first and second arm portions have first and second lateral ends, respectively, and the lateral ends each have a respective adhesive area. Removal of the wristband from the form exposes an area of the release liner which is devoid of any voids. The wristband is formed of a single-ply of water-resistant material.
Method and dye mixtures for marking shape memory polymers, and shape memory polymer articles with switchable readability
A method for marking an item including a shape memory polymer (SMP) having a visual readable and/or machine readable graphic element on the surface of the item. The method includes pretreating the surface of the item; coloring the surface of the item with a dye solution containing an organic dye and an organic solvent; cleaning and drying the surface of the item; and engraving by at least partially ablating the surface of the item. The dyeing process is suitable for coloring the surface of a shape memory polymer (SMP), wherein the information is engraved in a form of a code or other label on the colored surface. The coloring causes an increased contrast and thus facilitates machine readability of marking and coding without affecting the other properties of the SMP.
COMBINATION WRISTBAND AND LABEL FORM
A combination wristband and label form has a first sheet and a backing. The first sheet has a top portion with a plurality of die cut labels, and each of the labels is removable from the form. The first sheet also has a bottom portion comprising a release liner having a release material. The backing has a top portion with a release liner having a release material and a bottom portion having wristband configured to receive an indicia. The wristband is separable from the form and is formed of a single ply of water-resistant and tamper-resistant material. The wristband has a first lateral end and a second lateral end extending outwardly from a central portion, and a fraction of the central portion is a label die cut into the first sheet top portion. The first lateral end has an adhesive area and the second lateral end has perforations without adhesive.
ANTI-FORGERY LABEL USING RANDOM PROTRUDING ELEMENTS AND METHOD FOR MANUFATURING THE SAME
An anti-forgery label using random protruding elements and a method for manufacturing the same. A substrate with a printed layer thereon is provided. An adhesive layer is coated on the printed layer, and a plurality of protruding elements are randomly distributed and adhered on the printed layer the adhesive layer. The surfaces of the printed layer and the protruding elements are covered with a light-permeable overcoat layer. A corresponding engaging region is formed in each of the protruding elements where it touches the overcoat layer, and a gap region is formed between the overcoat layer and the adhesive layer in proximity to each of the protruding elements. As such, randomly distributed tactile and visual identification features and irregular deformed identification regions are formed.
Customizable cryptocurrency card
A physical card (in some cases without any on-board source of power or computing capabilities) is configured to maintain access information for digital bearer assets. A unique identifier visible on the card may be transmitted to a server-system to utilize functionalities corresponding to the card (e.g., based on information associated with the unique identifier) on a decentralized computing platform, like a blockchain-based decentralized computing platform. Private access information, like a secret, private key that corresponds to a public key (e.g., a public-private key-pair) or a representation of the private key (like a ciphertext thereof) and corresponding encryption key, may be physically concealed with tamper-evident components such that a user can readily determine whether the private access information was divulged. In some examples, a user is required to activate one or more tamper-evident features, thereby altering a visible state of the card, to utilize functionalities corresponding to the card.
Tamper-Evident Label and Item Authentication System
A tamper-evident item authentication label may include a substrate layer that includes a first substrate side and a second substrate side, a first adhesive layer, a second adhesive layer, a first unique indicium, a second unique indicium, and a plurality of cuts across the first unique indicium and the second unique indicium extending through at least a portion of a thickness of the substrate layer. The adhesive layers may be deposited on the substrate sides and arranged to fuse the tamper-evident item authentication label with a first and second surface. The first unique indicium may be deposited on the substrate layer and encoding a first unique identifier that links the tamper-evident item authentication label to one or more records in a remote database system. The second unique indicium may be deposited on the substrate layer. The second unique indicium may include a stochastically created visual pattern.
Multi-component article with cross-component deterministic values and underlying value protection
A physical multi-component article with cross-component deterministic values and underlying value protection (in some cases without any on-board source of power or computing capabilities) is configured to maintain access information for a digital wallet on a decentralized computing platform, like a blockchain-based decentralized computing platform. Private access information, like private key ciphertext and key or passphrase by which the private key ciphertext may be converted to plaintext, are physically concealed with tamper-evident components such that a user can readily determine by visual inspection of the apparatus whether, and what, private access information was divulged. In some examples, a user is required to activate one or more tamper-evident features, thereby altering a visible state of the apparatus, to access certain functions of a digital wallet corresponding to the apparatus.
