SIGN EDGE BUMPER ASSEMBLY
An apparatus is configured to be used with a post-mountable sign. The apparatus includes identical first and second frame sections. Each of the first and second frame sections includes a first fastening element located at a first end thereof; a second fastening element located at a second end thereof; and a first recess between the first and second ends configured to accommodate the post. The first fastening element of the first frame section is configured to cooperate with the second fastening element of the second frame section. The first fastening element of the second frame section is configured to cooperate with the second fastening element of the first frame section. The identical first and second frame sections are configured to be fastened together to surround the sign. The first recess of each of the first and second frame sections is configured to be positioned adjacent the post.
Apparatus and method for attaching signs to foundation members such as road barriers
A support system for a sign mountable on at least two spaced apart foundation members, the system comprising: i) a base, preferably a length adjustable base, having a first end and a second end; ii) a vertical sign support having a first end and a second end wherein the second end is connected to the base; iii) a first foundation member bracket for connection to a first foundation member, the first foundation member bracket proximate the first end of the base; and iv) a second foundation member bracket for connection to a second foundation member distant the first foundation member, the second foundation member bracket proximate the second end of the base.
Courtesy Flag
A signaling device for defining a space between parked vehicles. The signaling device comprises a vehicle attachment component, an extendable component, and a warning component. The vehicle attachment component is configured to engage a vehicle window. The extendable component comprises rotatable and telescoping arms for defining the space between the vehicles when the rotatable and telescoping arms are extended. The warning component alerts others of the defined space. A method of using the signaling device to define a space between parked vehicles is also disclosed.
REMOTE VEHICLE HAZARD AND COMMUNICATION BEACON
A hazard beacon has an interface to a vehicle wiring harness configured to detect that vehicle emergency indicators have been deployed, a plurality of separately strobe capable light segments forming a hazard symbol, and a microcontroller controlling operation of the plurality of separately strobe capable light segments.
Portable Sign
A sign arrangement including a first planar member with a substantially V-shape and a first member slot and a second planar member with a substantially V-shape and a second member slot. The second member is removably receivable within the first member slot and the first member is removably receivable within the second member slot to form a substantially tripod-like structure. Regardless of the orientation of the sign arrangement relative to the ground, the sign arrangement is capable of displaying the information the sign arrangement is designed to convey.
Road signs and methods of making and use thereof
Embodiments of adaptable road signs and methods of manufacture are provided. In some embodiments, the adaptable road signs have messages that can quickly be changed by, for instance, applying a placard or banner on the road sign. In some embodiments, the adherence of a placard to the face of the road sign is facilitated by arrays of magnetic features embedded in the sign face and the placard.
Foldable outdoor panel assembly
A foldable outdoor panel assembly is provided including an outdoor panel and a rotating mount assembly for maintaining the outdoor panel in a desired first orientation. The rotating mount assembly includes a first mount assembly connected to the panel and including a first mount, a first magnet having a first polarity and a second magnet having a second polarity. The rotating mount assembly further includes a second mount assembly having a second mount ratably connected to the first mount and including a third magnet having the first polarity. The second mount is connected to a post or other structure attached to the ground. The position of the first magnet adjacent to the third magnet maintains the panel in the first orientation or in an un-deflected condition while the position of the second magnet adjacent to the third magnet biases the panel from a second orientation or deflected condition back to the first orientation or un-deflected condition.
Clamp having multiple contact features
A clamping system includes a mast, a bracket clamp engageable with the mast, the bracket clamp including a receiver for receiving a sign, a compression assembly for compressing the mast and the receiver towards each other, and a compression element movable relative to the receiver by the compression assembly, the compression element contacting a side surface of the mast via a plurality of contact features, each contact feature contacting the side surface of the mast at a distinct location on the side surface of the mast.
Traffic sign with sliding panels
A sign incorporating a fixed panel with multiple windows. A moving panel is provided behind each window. Each moving panel includes multiple messages. By moving a particular moving panel with respect to its associated window, a different message can be displayed through the window. A control system is provided for controlling the position of the moving panels. This control system is preferably remotely located, so that a user can operate the inventive sign from a safe position.
