LATERAL FLOW TESTING
A test device includes a base holding at least one test strip in a plane. A buffer storage container is adjacent a first end of the test strip. A top of the buffer storage container is higher than the plane of the base. A frangible seal extends across the top of the buffer storage container. A transfer passage between the top of the buffer storage container and the first end of the test strip.
Systems and methods for test strips with extended dynamic ranges
An extended range test strip includes a simple system where the end user can determine the concentration of the analyte at high concentration with a single drop of whole blood. A single drop of blood spreads across a spreading layer and into multiple reagent stacks. Multiple reagent stacks of the test strip may be configured to test for different ranges by adding a peroxide modulator. Readings from multiple reagent stacks producing a colorimetric response may be tested simultaneously. Working from the lowest range to the highest range of reagent stacks, the first reagent stack to be less than its maximum range is considered to be the reagent stack that is producing a colorimetric response related to the actual amount of analyte in the sample.
ANTI-HYPUSINE ANTIBODIES AND USES THEREOF
The invention provides anti-hypusine antibodies and their use in detecting and isolating polypeptides containing hypusine and/or deoxyhypusine, as well as compositions and kits comprising the anti-hypusine antibodies.
SAMPLE COLLECTION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR URINE AND OTHER FLUIDS
A tubular sample collection device, including a tubular housing having a top wall defining at least one perforation for admitting a sample of a fluid and a bottom wall for receiving a test strip, and a wick affixed to an interior side of the top wall for absorbing fluid admitted through the at least one perforation. A method of collecting a fluid and transferring the fluid to a test strip, by exposing the tubular sample collection device to a fluid to be analyzed, admitting a sample of the fluid through at least one perforation defined in the top wall of a tubular housing of the tubular sample collection device, absorbing at least a portion of the sample of fluid into a wick affixed within the tubular housing, contacting the wick to a test strip within the tubular sample collecting device, and transferring fluid from the wick to the test strip.
SUSCEPTIBILITY AND RESISTANCE OF MICROORGANISMS
Devices, systems, and methods for species and/or strain specific identification and assessment of susceptibility of microorganisms based on the response of sensors in a colorimetric sensor array to metabolic products of the microorganism. An exemplary method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can include culturing a sample that contains microorganisms. The sample can be in a medium which is exposed to a colorimetric sensor array. A test substance can be introduced to the sample. The method can assess a susceptibility of the microorganisms to the test substance based on a change in at least one sensor in the colorimetric sensor array. Sensors in the colorimetric sensor array can change in response to volatile organic compounds produced by the microorganisms after addition of the test substance.
MANUFACTURING DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF TEST STRIP
A manufacturing device and a manufacturing method of a test strip. The manufacturing device includes a fluid push module, a fluid flow module and a fluid output module. The fluid push module includes an actuator and a transmission unit. The transmission unit has at least a fluid delivery member. The fluid flow module includes a reagent storage unit and a reagent delivery unit. The reagent storage unit has at least one reagent storage chamber. The reagent delivery unit has at least one drain chamber, at least one first infusion line, at least a second infusion line and a plurality of check valves. The fluid output module includes a plurality of reagent outlets and a reagent output unit, and one end of each of the reagent outlets is configured with an inner recess. The reagent output unit has a plurality of channels corresponding to the reagent outlets.
