Screening and Assessment of Carcinomas
The present disclosure is related to systems and methods to be used as aids in the diagnosis of risk for carcinoma, lesions, or dysplasia by identifying cellular phenotype characteristics of cell samples, including percentage of mature squamous cells, presence or absence of nuclear actin in mature squamous cells, percentage of non-mature squamous cells, percentage of small round cells, percentage of white blood cells, and percentage of lone nuclei.
Method and means for detecting an autoantibody
A method can be used for detecting, in a sample, an autoantibody binding to a polypeptide having the sequence SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 11 or SEQ ID NO: 24. A carrier containing said polypeptide and an autoantibody binding to said polypeptide are useful. The autoantibody may be used for the diagnosis of a disease, and a method can be used for isolating an autoantibody binding to said polypeptide. The polypeptide and a kit containing said polypeptide are useful, and can be used for the manufacture of a kit or medical device. A method involves contacting a medical or diagnostic device containing said polypeptide with a buffered solution containing an antibody binding specifically to said polypeptide. A sample containing said autoantibody as a positive control and a diluted sample containing said autoantibody are useful.
Prediction of response to immune-modulatory therapies
The present disclosure provides a method of treating cancer by immune checkpoint blockade, or selecting patients for treatment with immune checkpoint blockers, by detecting tumors with high levels of T-lymphocytes with low levels of activation and proliferation. In various embodiments the tissue sample may be from a conventional biopsy. In various embodiments the cancer may be non-small cell lung cancer.
Method for diagnosing mood disorder by using circadian rhythm
The present disclosure relates to a method for diagnosing mood disorder such as mania, depression and mania mixed using a circadian rhythm. According to the diagnostic method of the present disclosure, the condition of mood disorder can be diagnosed objectively and clearly based on the advance or delay of the circadian rhythm. That is to say, hypomania, mania, depression, mixed mania, etc. may be determined quickly and adequately so that appropriate therapeutic intervention can be made. In addition, according to the diagnostic method of the present disclosure, schizophrenia which is frequently confused with severe depression or bipolar disorder can be distinguished clearly. In addition, the selection of a therapeutic drug can be benefited greatly through this.
MICROVESICLE HISTONE H2AX AS A BIOMARKER FOR GENOTOXIC STRESS
The invention described herein relates to methods of monitoring genotoxic stress in a test subject, specifically by detecting the expression level of microvesicle-associated H2AX from a biological sample.
TRIAGING METHOD USING CELL FREE NUCLEOSOME LEVELS
The invention relates to using cell free nucleosome levels to identify patients at risk of developing a NETosis associated adverse reaction to the infection. The methods are used to monitor the progress of a disease and assigning a risk of an adverse outcome in a patient suffering from an infection.
METHOD FOR PREDICTING SENSITIVITY OF CANCER CELL TO GPX4 INHIBITOR
Provided are a cancer therapeutic drug comprising a compound which inhibits GPX4 as an active ingredient, the cancer therapeutic drug treating cancer containing a cancer cell having a suppressed function of a SWI/SNF complex factor detected; and a method for predicting sensitivity of a cancer cell to a GPX4 inhibitor, the method comprising the step of predicting a cancer cell having a suppressed function of a SWI/SNF complex factor detected in the cancer cell, as having sensitivity to the GPX4 inhibitor.
METHOD TO PREDICT THE PATTERN OF LOCOMOTION IN HORSES
The present invention provides methods for predicting the pattern of locomotion in a horse including the ability of a horse to use different gaits and the ability to trot at a fast speed. The methods comprise determining in a sample of DNA obtained from a horse the presence or absence of at least one genetic marker, wherein said at least one genetic marker is located on horse chromosome 23, said marker being associated with the ability to use different gaits. The invention further provides primers that amplify markers being associated with the ability to use different gaits and hybridization probes to detect markers being associated with the ability to use different gaits and the ability to trot at a fast speed.
PHOTOREACTIVE AND CLEAVABLE PROBES FOR TAGGING BIOMOLECULES
Compositions including photoreactive and cleavable probes and methods of using the probes. The probes may include a tag conjugatable to a label, a cleavable linker linkable to a bait molecule, and a light activated warhead. The compositions and methods may be useful for analyzing biomolecules.
METHOD FOR THE DETECTION OF HORMONE SENSITIVE DISEASE PROGRESSION
The invention relates to the use of cell free nucleosome bound nuclear hormone receptor variant adducts for detecting the progression of hormone dependent disease to hormone therapy resistant disease or the effectiveness of a drug treatment in a patient. The invention also relates to methods for detecting said cell free nucleosome bound nuclear hormone receptor variant adducts.
