Athletic performance and technique monitoring
Methods and apparatuses for athletic performance and technique monitoring are disclosed. In one example, a sensor output is received associated with a movement of a user torso during a running motion. The sensor output is analyzed to identify an undesirable torso motion.
Distance measurement device and control method therefor
A distance measuring apparatus includes: a display unit; a memory configured to store map information of golf courses; a location acquiring sensor configured to acquire a current location; a distance measuring sensor configured to measure a distance to a target; a slope sensor configured to measure a tilt angle; and a control unit configured to read out map information of a golf course corresponding to the current location from the memory, to calculate a horizontal distance to the target by using the distance to the target and the tilt angle, and to display a course map image on which an object corresponding to the current location and a first lead line connecting points that are spaced from the current location depending on the horizontal distance are displayed, on the display unit.

Bezel antenna system
A wrist-worn electronic device comprises a housing, a bezel, a location determining element, a communication element, and four antennas. The housing includes a bottom wall contacting a wearer's wrist and a side wall coupled to the bottom wall. The bezel is formed at least partially from electrically conductive material and positioned along an upper edge of the side wall. Two antennas receive a first global navigation satellite system (GNSS) location signals at a first frequency and a second frequency that are used by the location determining element, each antenna including a radiating element formed by a portion of the circumference of the bezel. Two antennas transmit or receive communication protocol wireless signals at a third frequency and a fourth frequency output by or communicated to the communication element, each antenna including a radiating element formed by a portion of the circumference of the bezel.

Method and Apparatus for Distant Location of an Object
The present method and apparatus capture the position of a golf ball on a golf course consistently and accurately using consumer-grade, affordable technology. The output provides the latitude and longitude of the ball along with, optionally, additional insights including surface type, club, stroke, penalties, etc. Accuracy can differ slightly depending on location but is typically within a matter of feet. For example, the rough may be less accurate whereas the greens should be very accurate. This method and apparatus utilize 3-5 trackers, typically volunteers, per hole to capture shot-level data while leveraging commercially available smart devices and range finders.
Systems and methods for providing a health coaching message
Systems and methods for providing a health coaching message are disclosed. The method may include collecting electronic fitness data related to a fitness activity; transmitting the electronic fitness data; receiving the electronic fitness data; collecting second electronic fitness data; generating comparison data related to the electronic fitness data and the second electronic fitness data to determine a first ranking and a second ranking; and displaying the first ranking and the second ranking.

GOLF RANGEFINDER DEVICE WITH INTEGRAL MAGNET MOUNT
A golf rangefinder system comprises a GPS golf rangefinder device and an accessory. The golf rangefinder device comprises a housing defining a forward housing portion with a display screen viewable therein, and a rearward housing portion with a convexity projecting therefrom. A magnet centrally positioned at a distal most portion of the convexity. The accessory includes a clip with a hook-shaped member and a receptacle portion for mating with the convexity of the housing of the golf rangefinder device. A second magnet is positioned in a recess in the receptacle portion. The receptacle portion configured as a concavity and conforming to the convexity of the rangefinder device whereby when the accessory and rangefinder device are in proximity with each other they are magnetically coupled with the convexity positioned in the concavity. The accessory and rangefinder slidably rotatable and movable with respect to one another while still maintaining the magnetic coupling.
Method and apparatus for analysis of gait and to provide haptic and visual corrective feedback
A system for analysis of user gait and to provide correction in form of haptic and visual feedback. This system comprises a motion and force sensors and a haptic actuator embedded in the user shoe insoles in communication with a smart-phone based analysis application, configured to calculate motion and orientation of the user feet in relation to the value, location and distribution of ground reaction forces measured by sensors located in the shoe insoles and after analysis of said forces and motion, to provide haptic feedback to the user foot instructing about the location (and timing) of pressure the user must apply to achieve an optimal gait.
